The Gload domination continues!
-
No, no no no no no no no... LOL, Ruben Brown was on the Bills last year, and an All-Pro at that. That's Orlando Brown that you're thinking of.

MORE physical trouble for Prior

I'm seeing on www.chicagosports.com that May 1st is the most optimistic look for his return. And that's probably a very optimistic date, considereing they've moved the date from Opening Day to Mid April to Late April and now to May 1st. :fthecubs -
Just a couple of notes/specs of information that I've heard so far from the mini-camp that Lovie gets because of he being a new coach. -Todd Johnson hitting hard - layed a real good one on Marty Booker. He broke his jaw last season, I think, and he should compete for the other safety job with Gray and Green. -The receivers have been impressive. -Joe Odom comes into the camp a little out of shape. Not good to hear for a guy who's competing for a starting job. -Grossman very, very impressive. Throwing hard and accurate passes. This is all good news, except Joe Odom. I think Jerry Angelo is going to make another move before the draft, wheter it be Ogunleye (sp?) or an offensive lineman (Ruben Brown).

That's fine, but I don't understand why Shoenwies; a.) has been handed the fourth starter spot, b.) been given a 1 Million + contract extension, and c.) hasn't used all his pitches. I can understand Shingo not using all of his pitches, but Shoenwies is a starter, and an unproven one at that. He ought to have all of his pitches working well before opening day.

I want to see what Gload can do once the season actually starts - that said, he has really been impressive this spring. Konerko should not and cannot be comfortable right now, maybe that will keep him hitting well this season, who knows.
-
Oh, sorry, forgot about that? I was just too happy reliving the royal choke.
-
HOw did the Sox score 4 runs? Schoenwies still sucks. For all of his backers, if he's only been throwing 2 pitches all spring, isn't it about time he uses all of his pitches?

lol! Screw Bill Self!

ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, what a moron; check out this trade idea. "The only move I want to see made next year is Gonzo, Alou, and Simon to Texas for A-rod and 3 million bite off his salary. Resign Lofton and have a wicked lineup next year." Yeah, I'm sure Texas would have taken that deal.....
-
lol, pathetic - look at this: "C'mon Cubs! Was it over when the Nazi's bombed Pearl Harbor! 2 runs is easy, let's do this thing!!!!!! We are taking this pennant dammit!" Didn't the Japs do that? :fthecubs

Hmm, that is a pretty interesting trade idea. I was thinking more along the lines of a trade to Pittsburg - perhaps Konerko for Simon and Benson, or Konerko and Rauch/Stewart for Simon and Benson. IMO, either trade, the Cincy one or the Pitt one would make us a better club.

I'd hope that Kenny is talking with Montreal about Vidro... I've always liked Vidro - puts up a solid .300 average year after year, probably wouldn't solve our need for a leadoff man though...

Everyone already knows about the offer that's on the table for Salaam, but Pro-Bowl Guard Ruben Brown will visit Halas Hall, Today I guess. From www.chicagobears.com. Damn, if we can get him at a fair price I'd go for it; A line of Salaam-Tucker-Kruetz-Brown-Tait would be awesome; simply awesome. LOL, I know he's not signed yet nor is Salaam, but if we got those two, lol, we could put a nice comfy chair back there for Rex to pick apart the Defense in. Again, if he can be had at a fair price; go for it. Remember now what A-Train did in 2001 when he had a pretty good and healthy line. Now, mix in Thomas Jones as a speed back, and we have a pretty solid running game. Baseball season hasn't even started yet, and I'm already looking ahead to Training Camp.

Cant you say the same about us Sox fans, too, then? We support the Sox. When have they put a team on the field that has actually been a team that could probably compete for a CHAMPIONSHIP? Surely not this year, nor the past couple of years (last year is an exception, I appreciate how Kenny Williams traded for some big players.). I know the Sox are a much better organization than the Hawks, but the Hawks are heading in the right direction; I don't care that we aren't winning this year. They finally went young, oh well, so what if we lose this year, It'll pay off down the road. I'm just HOPING, once guys like Ruutu and others ask for a contract extension, they'll sign them. EDIT: Let me add that I cannot stand people who even try to compare the NBA to the NHL. I cannot watch the NBA anymore, I just can't. There are a few teams who I think I can watch, the Kings come to mind, but the majority of the NBA is BORING. NCAA Tournament is a different story, I'll watch that any day over the NBA, hell, even some hockey games. I've been to a Bulls Playoff Game, a Blackhawk Playoff Game, and a Bears Playoff game. For those of you who are have been to a Blackhawk playoff game, the feeling is just indescribable (sorry if that isnt a word) when the National Anthem is being sung. It's so crazy, it's awesome. Bears games are very fun too. The Bulls game was pretty cool, but that was back during the championship run with Jordan and Pipp.

I think what I would rather see is red line (center line) taken out of the two-line pass. They do that in Europe and it really opens up the game. For those who do not know, a two line pass is, just what it's name says, a player passes a puck across 2 of the lines. The lines I'm talking about are the two blue lines near center ice and the center line. I apologize if that was confusing.

Good. Good for ESPN. Hell, I hope every popular news publication that any person in the Sox organization, player, coach, management, reads says that we come in fourth. Hell, put us behind the players. Let our players have a chip on their shoulder, it'll make them have something to prove. It seems players play better when there's no pressure. I don't think anyone thought we'd win 90+ and the division in 2000; I don't think many people predicted a Marlins World Series appearance last year. Just once the Sox play well and win the division, I don't want to hear any crap saying that "We knew they could do it the whole time." Shove it up their asses, and lets go.

Yeah, I hope Nossek has taught Baines the "tricks of the trade".
-
Marlins second game against the Astros, Marlins win, 4-0, Josh Beckett a complete game shutout. Beckett gets the win. Clemens the loss. A 2-Run Shot by Miguel Cabrera in the 8th sealed it.
-
Well, if you say so.... I will definitely take back everything I have said about him in ST if he can perform well in the number 4 spot. I personally don't think he'll succeed, but I still want to see him do good.
-
ok Whitesoxfan, If you see this in the next 20 minutes we can play. If not it will have to wait till sometime tonight, 8:00 or later.
-
Whitesoxfan56789, or ASTROS OWNER, when do you want to play? My AIM screen name is JustaBearGuy. Tommorow after 9:30 CNTRL Im Home, get me then.
-
Marlins win the first one against the Yankees, 10-6. Big game by Castillo with two triples, as well as Jeff Conine with a big game. Mussina the loss. Beckett the win.
-
I wouldn't take Wright out of the rotation if we did get Washburn... I'd move Shoe to the bullpen, or just to another team if possible, if we got Washburn. Wright has outpitched Shoenwies by a TON this spring training.
-
Mr. Zero, when can you play? It's a World Series rematch, Marlins vs. Yankees. And I think it's going to yield the same result. Does everyone here have AIM? Mine is JustaBearGuy
