SuperBowl LII
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2018 -> 09:37 PM) I don't blame them for overdoing it after the season we just watched. Fix that rule this offseason. Nowhere near the James catch or even Zach Miller's.

SuperBowl LII
QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 4, 2018 -> 09:22 PM) Collinsworth might as well have been Bergman announcing the ALDS in 2005. What a disgrace He was awful. He and Michaels reviewed that Ertz touchdown catch way too long.

Gotta start rooting for teams like DEN, PHI, DET, LAC (although that's unlikely) etc. now. Want that NO pick in the 10-15 range. I won't get greedy since 6-10 is highly unlikely unless someone decides to pull a Tanya Harding on AD's legs..

I doubt LeBron comes here, especially with what his bff Wade has probably said to him about this FO.

White Sox interested in adding a DH
QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 1, 2018 -> 04:17 PM) Why add some veteran slugging DH. Let the kids bat and if we lose, we lose. Can't believe I'm saying this, but 100% agree with you Greg.

2017-2018 MLB player movement rumors and reports
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 1, 2018 -> 09:54 AM) MLB Trade Rumors @mlbtraderumors 54s54 seconds ago Mark Appel Stepping Away From Baseball https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/02/mark-appel-stepping-away-from-baseball.html …://https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018...baseball.html …://https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018...baseball.html … Watched his friends and ex teammates win a World Series without him and might be considered the biggest bust of all time. I feel for him, but that article I just read makes me feel better that the guy has his head on straight.

Personal Top 5 wants for the 2018 Draft
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 1, 2018 -> 09:08 AM) I personally have Beer pegged for one of those like 4 Royals picks between the first and second round (assuming Hosmer and Mous sign elsewhere). Was thinking the same thing. They got like 15478964 picks this year. I'd be shocked if they don't explore that route if their scouts like him enough.

If LeBron goes that route, not only will he completely tarnish his legacy, but all of the tanking teams (and good teams in general) can just forget about competing in the next 3-4 years anyways.

Sox sign Jeanmar Gomez
I am almost positive this guy was the Phillies closer back in '16.

Personal Top 5 wants for the 2018 Draft
We'll see Caulfield. Like I said, willing to bet on that. And I'm on a LHP bandwagon. Lacking severely in the farm there.

Video. Former Bull Isiaah Cannan just pulled a Gordon Hayward. Prayers go out to him.

Personal Top 5 wants for the 2018 Draft
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 31, 2018 -> 08:43 PM) For now. The scouting world is divided on whether he sticks there or not. Obviously, his father filled out and played 3B for most of his major league career, mostly with the Expos and Cardinals. I'd bet quite a bit he stays there. Not alone in that assessment either.

Personal Top 5 wants for the 2018 Draft
QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Jan 31, 2018 -> 07:47 PM) I don't think he's(Burger) going to stick there. I'd like a better defender at the hot corner. Also, I think a couple of the current top 5 are 3B/LHP and they really don't have the depth at those positions. Damn it sucks they traded Tatis Jr. Tatis Jr. plays SS not 3B.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 30, 2018 -> 11:09 AM) Dunn supposedly still out for a while. Good for the tank, but I feel bad for Dunn. Hopefully he gets better and in the meantime we lose games because Jerian Grant is sucking it up (like usual). This team is unwatchable with Grant at the point. He is the tank commander. Markkanen is gonna be out for a bit as well due to "personal reasons" (he's gonna be a father it looks like, so congrats to him once the baby comes) and Mirotic might be out as well due to injury. Bulls would much rather have the Mirotics, Lopez, Holidays etc of the world "held out" and not see their young players not play and develop, but this does help the tank tremendously.- 2017-18 official NBA discussion thread

Nice podcast with our Chuck (really enjoying his podcast). He had Collins and Hansen on and they talk about getting into a fight with each other in the dugout in the middle of the game. http://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox...impression=true- 2017-18 official NBA discussion thread
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 29, 2018 -> 08:18 PM) Personally, I think Young is the better choice (vs. Sexton) because of his incredible shooting range and quick release. I'm just going to say DUH to this statement. That BKN pick is behind the Bulls currently at 8th, so Young is likely gone anyways if the season ended today and that pick stays at 8 during the lottery. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 29, 2018 -> 08:18 PM) Drummond/Griffin should at the very least be interesting. A poor man's Davis and Boogie, though in the East thats definitely good enough to make some noise.- 2017-18 official NBA discussion thread
That pick is 1-4 protected till 2021 (unprotected). And Dan Gilbert with 5-6 of his scouts were at the Oklahoma game a couple days ago to see Young and Sexton so I doubt Brooklyn pick is in the works.- SoxFest First Time---What to Expect?
QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jan 28, 2018 -> 01:47 AM) Hansen barely smiled or looked at anyone. Hansen.. let's just say is a bit of an "odd ball" (from what I've heard). That's awesome by Giolito btw. The dude just gets it. Extremely bright young man.- SoxFest Updates Thread
