  1. On the positive note, Teravainen looked very good last night. Hope Q continues to give him more minutes.
  2. Sox, Marlins and A's. I have a soft spot for the Marlins because they actually scouted me and a couple others in my high school days. (They drafted my good buddy Andy Loomis a few years ago) As far as least likely... Tigers, Red Sox, Yankees. I would b**** and moan about playing for the Cubs, but I'd eventually get over it cause of the hometown factor and seeing myself squeezing every penny I can from that org. (no hometown discount)
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 8, 2015 -> 09:13 AM) Yup, same here. The "kids these days" crowd bother the hell out of me. We're old now Row. Embrace it.
  4. Honestly it looks like he has dead legs. He hasn't played this much ball in two years, so the lack of elevation on his shots are noticeable. Probably explains the miss shots he usually makes.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 7, 2015 -> 11:29 AM) He just can't be the last two weeks Derrick Rose. Because that Derrick Rose is literally worse than Josh Smith. His inefficiency this season is making Monta Ellis blush.
  6. I've noticed Danish saying "we" alot in regards to the org. I think he loves it here. He was pretty fun to follow during the winter meetings.
  7. QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 03:37 PM) Just order the damn steak, Gage! Yea but now we'll be back at square one whether he likes it medium rare or well done..
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 02:09 PM) He really isn't that different though. D'antoni did him no favors, but the fact he's shooting about the same percentage as last year tells you he's not much better. His minutes-load, his rebounding, and his blocked shots are definitely better this year, which are big contributions to the team. However, his per 36 shooting numbers are extremely similar (4.9 FTA/36 for both years, 1.7 FGA less than last, but even 14.8 FGA per game when looking at his overall numbers) and he's converting at a similar rate outside of FTs (48% from the field both years, FT% is up almost 10%, which explains his slightly better TS%). Part of that also is he is shooting more in the post just as he has in his previous years because of the garbage he had surrounding him. His synergy rating last couple of years with the Lakers was >28.5% in the post. That's by far the most of any spot on the floor. He was actually at his best in pick and roll situations when he was averaging 1.11 points per possession or facing up. The main difference in why he's better than his last couple of seasons in his Laker days is Thibodeau's defensive scheme. Pau is actually excelling in his system which many know was his biggest weakness for years. Add in the fact he has one of the better defenders in overall ratings in Noah backing him up, he's being utilized more in facing up and viola.. New rejuvenated Pau.
  9. Shuck hasn't played 2B since pee wee ball. I highly doubt he or Garcia are considerations.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 11:31 PM) The Eagles have an opening? I thought everything was handled in house? Take it for what it's worth. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...-in-eagles-job/
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 01:05 PM) Ballard declined the interview with the Jets. Theorize what you will Declined the Eagles too.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 11:14 AM) Colleen Kane ‏@ChiTribKane 21m21 minutes ago White Sox hold hitters minicamp this week. Tim Anderson, Keon Barnum, Matt Davidson, Adam Eaton, Courtney Hawkins, Micah Johnson are there. God I love him.
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 09:15 AM) Looking at the makeup of the team, it's too bad Davidson isn't good enough to be a straight platoon with Gillaspie at 3B. I still have hopes he mashes this year and overtakes Gillaspie later in the year and is serviceable. Bonifacio is overrated on this site, but he is a valuable add cause of the versatility. Nice deal.
  14. How many Benjamins did it take for Jerry Jones to pay off the refs for that one?
  15. Lawrence might of just gave the Lions the game if they can finish the drive.
  16. Lions really did get screwed on that pass interference call. I love it.
  17. Damn. Real good guy it seemed too. RIP Stuart.
  18. I wasn't a fan of the LaRoche signing, but it has slowly grown on me. I guess in retrospect, maybe give Beane a call earlier about Donaldson since he dealt him away so cheaply, but I can't fault Hahn on that one.
  19. Why don't you use your admin powers and close them then?
  20. Inefficient Derrick Rose is hard to watch. Yikes.
  21. Love watching Kuechly. It's like watching a young Urlacher again.
