  1. Danks hitting 94-95 on the gun too. Those were the days with him pre surgery...
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 26, 2014 -> 10:53 PM) I told you guys Darling would be the man. Dude won his first game in his hometown starting at the lowest of the lows in the SPHL just a couple of seasons ago (first nhl'er to make it actually) and worked his ass off every level to get to where he is. I'll speak for most when I say I'll root for this guy the rest of his career. Nice article on him here. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hocke...in?v=1&vc=1
  3. His first sack as a bear might end up being season ending. Idiot.
  4. This might be the most embarrassing game I've ever seen.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2014 -> 06:14 PM) Jimmy Rollins is apparently a "co-winner", making this the first year that there have been 2 winners of the Roberto Clemente Award. Paulie was robbed of the whole enchilada.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 25, 2014 -> 10:40 AM) You are saying a rookie will steal 100+ bases in one season if a certain guy is managing, and I am the one cherry picking? You think Maddon is the onky manager whi swipes bases with a fast team? What about Ned Yost? The White Sox run the guys who can run. What is so unique about Joe Maddon that would make a rookie steal 100 bases in a season for him and not anyone else? Carl Crawford ran just as much under Lou Piniella. As I stated personnel matters. Ah yes. The other typical DA still ignoring what he wants to read. I already said I was exaggerating on the stolen base number and said IF Micah actually hits/gets on base/even starts as the 2B. My point was he is known as an aggressive manager. Balta already proved my point listing the Rays ranking in stolen base numbers under his tenure. I also mentioned personnel and health of his players (hell Damon was still stealing 20+ at nearly age 40) But hey, keep fighting the good fight for nothing my man. Not quite the same without Pratt though.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 25, 2014 -> 08:35 AM) I don't know how you come up with these assumptions. Personnel matters. Maddon attempted 90 steals total in 2014, now if he was managing, Johnson would have over 100 steals himself? Ah yes. The typical DA cherry picking. We're going to ignore the years which he had Crawford, Upton, Fuld, Jennings, Longoria (the latter pre injuries) Zobrist, Damon etc. When they were swiping bases left and right? He had the personal and the health of his players over the years and was well regarded as an aggressive manager. I was exaggerating the number for Micah obviously but I could still see him in the Podsednik range if he actually hits/gets on base.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 24, 2014 -> 05:44 PM) The Sierra Abreu brotastic platonic love affair ends I have to imagine he is probably not too happy about this. Hopefully not too pissed off at sox management.
  9. Would be nice to have a team who is aggressive on the base paths. Hell Micah would probably steal 100+ under Maddon if he's the starter. With that said I think he'll be a Cub if anything. Supposedly there's rumors about him saying he can help bring them a title by 2017. (although I doubt it's true)
  10. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 18, 2014 -> 04:33 PM) This guy is a decent twitter follow. He posted his White Sox top 20. http://topprospectalert.com/2014/10/14/chi...spect-rankings/ Tyler Danish LHP oof.
  11. QUOTE (LDF @ Oct 17, 2014 -> 07:02 AM) assuming that the sox sign Markakis. If MJ makes the team, with his speed I can envision him as leading off and Eaton as #2. the lineup can be 1. righty 2. lefty 3. righty Johnson is a lefty though.
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 17, 2014 -> 04:47 AM) Exactly. Looks like Jimmy worked on his jumper. Form looks better. If he's looking like even half of what he's doing right now, the Bulls will be I'm very good shape.. that's also if DRose is DRose too.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 16, 2014 -> 07:20 AM) Except for the whole being in first place every single day of the regular season. The hate from you on the Royals is strong my man.
  14. Can't believe the Giants are 5 wins away from winning their 3rd championship in 5 years. (And Peavy's potential 2nd ring since leaving.. )
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 5, 2014 -> 08:16 PM) Konerko might have been on to something mentioning the Royals reminding him of the 05' team. Royals are four wins away from Konerko being right on the money.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 09:32 PM) I still love Nate Robinson Saw that 27 footer he hit as the clock expired. As soon as he heaved it up, me and my buddy both basically said "watch that go in" at nearly the same time. Just not surprising with Nasty Nate.
  17. OT: but I met Jamal Mayers last night at Tavern on Milwaukee. Pretty cool guy (took a pic w him). He was incredibly wasted though.. In fact got kicked out twice before the bouncers even knew who he was. Did some "interesting" stuff in there as well that I was shocked by. Still cool to drink with though.
  18. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 12, 2014 -> 06:36 PM) Are the cowboys for real? Marinelli has done some work with that defense.
  19. Willie Young.. what a pickup.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 04:54 PM) Yeah, what has that bum done for us lately. We never even heard anything about that 1b he scouted last offseason, that must have wound up as a disaster. He was also the guy that was adamant on Mitchell and Alex Jackson over Rodon (although to be fair, time will tell on that one). Like any scout, he ain't perfect.
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 5, 2014 -> 08:31 PM) 2014 Royals - 95 home runs 2005 White Sox - 200 home runs Hey his words not mine.. I'm going to assume he meant their defense and pitching. Lorenzo Cain is putting on a show as I type this. Obviously their staff will never duplicate what ours did that postseason but they're getting alot of luck.
  22. Konerko might have been on to something mentioning the Royals reminding him of the 05' team.
  23. Mike Trout ladies and gentlemen.
  24. Orioles win!!!!
  25. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 5, 2014 -> 05:18 PM) Pretty impressive in week 5. He is already claiming victory next week.
