QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 07:39 PM) Carlos Sanchez home run! Incredible. 3 homers lifetime before May 25th, now 5 in less than a month. Pretty impressive power surge from him, although he could be maturing into his body. People forget how young he is. He might of or might not have forced the sox brass thinking, but it's possible he and Micah/Semien could be the middle IF of the future if they feel he can handle SS adequately.

Tim Duncan becomes the second player to win championships in three different decades. Just an incredible player.

NBA Thread 2013-2014
Pop is just an exceptionally great coach. He'll be severely missed in the NBA when he retires. One of the rare coaches who can outcoach Thibs, even countering defensive schemes on his pick and roll philosophy. Just a brilliant mind.

Ian Kinsler.. boy was I wrong about him when he was being overshadowed by Brian Anderson. Good player he turned out to be.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:14 PM) If that was true then why don't other managers do it? Tell me, when is the last time you saw a manager pull a pitcher after throwing a second ball? I haven't seen it once this season I've only seen them do it if there is an injury (or if they believe it is and the pitcher is hiding it). Usually they let their guy dictate the AB to the hitter. One of the unwritten rules if you will.

White Sox vs Tigers
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:00 PM) It's way too early to make any definitive judgements about him. He's been like that since his Mariners days. Going deep into his games has always been his biggest problem. I commend Cooper for getting him to be more aggressive in the zone, but after the 4th-5th inning (or sometimes he'll struggle in the first, then be good for 4-5 innings after), he struggles a bit.. except when he is facing an NL lineup. We'll see later on however.

White Sox vs Tigers
I like Noesi alot when he is going 5 innings. After that... yikes. Still think he is the perfect LR guy down the road.. maybe even develops to be a #4-5, but right now he is a 4-5 innings pitcher.

Cabrera and Martinez killing the sox. Who would've thought?

White Sox vs Tigers
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 08:42 PM) Haven't seen him yet, any thoughts? Seen two of his three ABs. The one I missed was a misplay by one of the Ole Miss players, but the two I saw he hit a rope down the LF line for a double and drew a nice walk. He's 2-3, 2 2Bs, BB so far. As far as the infiled, haven't seen alot of balls hit his way, although his range seems decent, but not elite.

6/8 Games
QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 04:06 PM) I'd say that's debatable, Micah Johnson looks like he could be a stud if he finds a home defensively. Anderson might be ahead of him but I wouldn't say the margin is that big. Depends if you view a top prospect list as far as production/floor or potential/ceiling. Guys like Rodon, Anderson and Hawkins/Adams (even without him throwing a single pitch yet) for me are without a doubt our top 3-4. But I've always viewed potential higher for years on this board, sans the occasional few (or "favorites" of mine if you will). I don't blame others though at looking at the production/floor players (likely big leaguers) though. You don't find many Evan Longoria/Buster Posey types that are pretty much both from the start.

I'm assuming we are gonna put the signed players in bold again to make it easier to see for everyone like last year? (same with the $$ amount)

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) We can still win this series. Let's do it. With Sale pitching, we win win 1 game in most of the series. Just up to the other pitcher(s) to pick up the slack.

QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 05:43 PM) Slot for 1-1 is $7,922,100, so yes, way under. It is just an outstanding deal for the Astros.
