Here's an interesting theory I heard on the LOST Podcast with Jay and Jack: Man in Black wants to be free so he can "go home"... go back in time to reunite with his body and humanity. Doing so would then alter the timeline from that point forward, making the 2007 timeline and all their love ones "cease to exist". That makes me wonder.... are we REALLY seeing a "post-bomb" timeline or is it the result of Smokey actually leaving the island? Interesting though.

Thanks to Joe Cowley for pointing this out: Ginger Zee: Why Am I Doing This? I have a very good friend and co-worker who just recently "beat" (he's in remission) Stage 3 multiple myeloma. So, this is a little close to home for me.

Let me try and use my personal situation as a case study as to how this effects some people and the industry. My college loans Direct Loans from the "Federal Direct Student Loan Program". So, I'm already on the federal loan program. My wife's loan was bought last year by a company called ACS Education. How does this effect her loan?

Can we get a thread on the student loans topic? I too am curious as to how this all works. What has changed in the loan process? Will my loans be effected?

Ha Here's my impression, let me try and extrapolate this out based on what we know at the moment: The person who did this was probably under the impression that everything he expensed was rubber stamped with no over-sight. The expense was not discovered until some searched into the FEC fillings... so, the person was right. No one called him out on it. He very well may not have know all his expenses were public record.
