  1. 1) Love the Twitter name.. I thought she would go with SarahPalin_ICanSeeRussia 2) OH MY EYES!!!
  2. From 6th grade through my junior year of high school I wanted to grow up to be an architect who designed sports stadiums. In fact, I still have the sketches of many of the stadiums I designed somewhere.
  3. When we were kids, we all probably latched onto something and said "when I grow up, I want to be a...". Maybe some of us did grow up to do that, while others of us did not. What did you want to be when you grew up? And, did you in fact grow up to do that?
  4. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 03:52 PM) No Jeff Fisher if he were to be fired? Which I'm almost certain won't happen. I didn't realize he wasn't a player on the 85 Bears, but rather a coach. Fisher would be my one exception because of his track record.
  5. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 03:58 PM) Bora$. That's even less unlikely. ohhhhh didnt know that. Never mind.
  6. I'd rather go after Holliday (he's a free agent, right? maybe I am wrong) than Halladay.
  7. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 01:11 PM) While Shannahan should get he job, I get he feeling that the job will go to Leslie Frazier. Isn't he the Bengals DC? Please, no '85 Bears. I dont want the meatballs coming out of the woodwork.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 02:23 PM) Oh man, Boers and Bernstein are hilarious after Bears losses, though! Ok, i should have specified that. I am avoiding all sports talk radio with the exception of BandB.
  9. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 02:10 PM) Do you think if this was a white, female solider they would be asking to ban women from serving in the military? no
  10. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 12:36 PM) Greg Sargent reports on a letter from 41 House Democrats that reads in part, "We will not vote for a conference report that contains language that restricts women’s right to choose any further than current law." Wasserman-Schultz: We Will Kill Stupak Amendment
  11. This is productive: Conservative Christian Group Calls for "No More Muslims" In Military
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) The way I look at Lebron is which of the available teams is most appealing to him in its current state? To me, Chicago was his childhood team with his idol, and has a very appealing sidekick in Rose(and even Deng if he sticks around), large market, very much in the spotlight with a strong fanbase. But I know money talks, he could go anywhere Lebron will get slightly more money in adverts going to NJ or NY than in Chicago, but not much. The questions Lebron needs to ask himself is this- Which team is closer to a championship WITH Lebron: the Cavs (making less advert money), the Knicks, the Nets, or the Bulls? I think with a core of Rose, Lebron and Deng... the bulls win that argument.
  13. I posted this over at TalkBears.com, but I thought I would post it here as well to get your thoughts: Let's say the Bears wanted to bring in a coach like Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren, and Mike Shanahan and he wants $6-7 million a year (I'm not sure of the going rate for a top coach these days). He signs a 5 year deal worth $35 million. Years 1 and 2 earn him $1.5 million per year while the Bears continue to pay out the Lovie deal, while years 3-5 earn him $10.67 million per. Yes, crazy numbers on the back end, but still averages out to $7 million a year over 5 years.

  15. Ok, so the thread name was a bit of a parody of the Dem and Rep thread titles. The general idea is this: With what is going on in the GOP and what happened in the NY-23 race, could the long rumored GOP split finally starting to happen?
  16. This from the Politico: A Tea Party party registers in Florida
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 11:42 AM) Deng is 24 and showing signs of returning to his previous form. You could move him easily. The best thing for the Bulls is to have Hinrick and Deng play really well before the trading deadline.
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 11:09 AM) Damn dude. Settle down.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 10:10 AM) you need to send your first email to the McCaskey family asking if it is ok to pay lovie for two more years even if he is fired. is there a way to contact the higher ups to let our voice be heard?
  20. QUOTE (daa84 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 10:10 AM) Lovie is absoultely getting railed on talk radio so far today...rightfully so... I am avoiding Sports talk for the next 3 days. It's for my own good.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 10:10 AM) you need to send your first email to the McCaskey family asking if it is ok to pay lovie for two more years even if he is fired. Sadly, we all know the answer.
  22. Can someone get me the e-mails to Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren, and Mike Shanahan? I need to recruit a new Bears head coach. Lovie needs to go.
