What Did You Want To Be When You Grew Up?
From 6th grade through my junior year of high school I wanted to grow up to be an architect who designed sports stadiums. In fact, I still have the sketches of many of the stadiums I designed somewhere.

What Did You Want To Be When You Grew Up?
When we were kids, we all probably latched onto something and said "when I grow up, I want to be a...". Maybe some of us did grow up to do that, while others of us did not. What did you want to be when you grew up? And, did you in fact grow up to do that?

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 03:52 PM) No Jeff Fisher if he were to be fired? Which I'm almost certain won't happen. I didn't realize he wasn't a player on the 85 Bears, but rather a coach. Fisher would be my one exception because of his track record.

I'd rather go after Holliday (he's a free agent, right? maybe I am wrong) than Halladay.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) The way I look at Lebron is which of the available teams is most appealing to him in its current state? To me, Chicago was his childhood team with his idol, and has a very appealing sidekick in Rose(and even Deng if he sticks around), large market, very much in the spotlight with a strong fanbase. But I know money talks, he could go anywhere Lebron will get slightly more money in adverts going to NJ or NY than in Chicago, but not much. The questions Lebron needs to ask himself is this- Which team is closer to a championship WITH Lebron: the Cavs (making less advert money), the Knicks, the Nets, or the Bulls? I think with a core of Rose, Lebron and Deng... the bulls win that argument.

Official 2009-2010 NFL Thread
I posted this over at TalkBears.com, but I thought I would post it here as well to get your thoughts: Let's say the Bears wanted to bring in a coach like Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren, and Mike Shanahan and he wants $6-7 million a year (I'm not sure of the going rate for a top coach these days). He signs a 5 year deal worth $35 million. Years 1 and 2 earn him $1.5 million per year while the Bears continue to pay out the Lovie deal, while years 3-5 earn him $10.67 million per. Yes, crazy numbers on the back end, but still averages out to $7 million a year over 5 years.

The "Tea Party" Thread
Ok, so the thread name was a bit of a parody of the Dem and Rep thread titles. The general idea is this: With what is going on in the GOP and what happened in the NY-23 race, could the long rumored GOP split finally starting to happen?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 11:42 AM) Deng is 24 and showing signs of returning to his previous form. You could move him easily. The best thing for the Bulls is to have Hinrick and Deng play really well before the trading deadline.
