  1. U-Verse is awesome. I love it. get ti when you can.
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 30, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) Just proves that your taste in movies is questionable. 1 and 2 were because they happened to be on. The Covenant was something my wife and I sought out and really liked it. Most because my wife loves that kind of mythology.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 30, 2009 -> 02:46 PM) I just went through the entire list more carefully and noted that I haven't seen any of the 100. I've seen Christmas with the Kranks, the beginning of Delta Farce (yea, it's pretty bad), and The Covenant (actually really liked that movie).
  4. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 30, 2009 -> 02:42 PM) Freddy Got Fingered should be #1. I didn't see it on the list and I guess it was so bad that it got forgotten. Norbit also should be on this list. Freddy Got Fingered got a 11% on the Tomatometer Norbit just missed the top 100 with a 9%
  5. Looks about right. man those are some bad movies.
  6. I certainly dont mean to turn this into a political fight. My apologies if it heads that way as a result of my post. it certainly wasnt meant to spark a partisan debate. I just found it interesting that the White House has to DEFEND bring the Olympics to America. I never thought I'd see a day when bringing the Olympics to America was a bad, evil, partisan thing.
  7. WOW! White House smacks down Fox News over its mostly anti-Olympic coverage.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 30, 2009 -> 09:23 AM) WTF?! Are you serious? Via TPM-
  9. Earthquakes continue to rock the Samoan Island area Indonesia shaken by 7.9 earthquake Typhoon hits Vietnam
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 03:32 PM) Dems are a bunch of inept douche bags. THey know the bill wont pass with a public option.
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 03:20 PM) First Public Option amendment gets shot down. So did the second.
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 02:25 PM) Which was really difficult!!! Oh man was the XFL bad.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 02:07 PM) You guys are misunderstanding Sherman. It isn't that there can't, or won't, be competition, it is that the exempt entities are exempted from following the rules governing competition. MLB could pretty much do whatever they wanted to undercut any other professional baseball league that could come along. Correct, and to use the XFL / NFL comparison... the NFL couldnt do a whole lot to run them out other than produce a better product.
  14. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 01:24 PM) so with baseball, this eliminates the ability of say you and I to create a "professional" baseball league? My understanding is that it primarily impacts the draft. There are other "professional" baseball leagues... or you could call them independent baseball leagues, but they dont try to compete with MLB head to head. If they tried, then you would see how the Anti-Trust part kicks in.
  15. I found it interesting that in a bunch of states one insurer controls like 80+% of the market share. that's staggering!
  16. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 09:45 AM) This guy (Latimer) is a f***tard. so he learned from his boss.
  17. Bush White House Denies J.K. Rowling and Ted Kennedy Presidential Medal of Freedom
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 09:02 AM) so are you referring to your wife as one of those "some people" if the shoe fits. she was a bit pissed I made her take it off.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 08:27 AM) Some asshole on Facebook created and distributed a poll asking if Obama should be killed. USSS is investigating, and the poll is of course no longer available. some people really are stupid. During the primaries, my wife made some comment on our website about how she wished Hillary would get hit by a car or something like that. I made her take it down because i didnt want the Secret Service knocking at my door.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2009 -> 11:22 AM) Probably also worth noting that the new Iranian facility is supposedly under construction within a mountain next to the city of Qom, a holy city for the Shi'a. I'm sure that's no accident. You want to hit that facility militarily...I'll bet the civilian toll will be enormous. My guess is because they will let inspectors in, but do what Iraq did... "you cant go THERE because it's holy ground".
  21. Yes, i am referencing Drudge: 2016 Orders Anti-Bid News Report Cancelled
  22. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 28, 2009 -> 12:46 PM) Why didn't South Korea get the bid in 2010 with a 51% 1st round vote result? It's total votes, not %.
  23. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 28, 2009 -> 12:14 PM) I got this info from a pretty solid source, but by word of mouth. There is an initial round of voting, and the results would be announced at 11am Chicago time on Friday from that. Then the horse-trading and second round occur, supposedly resulting in a final vote by 3pm. But, the rule is a vote plurality - it takes as many rounds as needed to get 50% for someone. So I suppose its possible that someone could get over 50% ont he first vote, but apparently that is very rare. Per Wikipedia-
  24. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 28, 2009 -> 09:25 AM) Public transit changes if we get the Olympics: Chicago needs to dump the "El" system in favor of some sort of light rail solution, but it will cost billions upon billions fo dollars. And even if we could get the national government to foot the bill, it would take well over a decade to do.
