  1. Two interesting new shows for this fall... ABC Travels to Wonderland With Once Upon a Time Spin-Off 'Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' is coming to ABC, sneak peek airing on Sunday
  2. The Heat expect their opponents to roll over and play dead, the Bulls never do that. They dont bow before the alter.
  3. The Bulls may not win the series, but I love that they are consistently a HUGE torn in the rear end of the Heat. The Heat expect you to roll over and play dead, the Bulls dont do that.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2013 -> 09:40 PM) Hard to beat the Heat when Cole plays as well as he has. I generally say you shut down Wade and James as best as you can and hope the rest dont beat you. If they do, tip your cap
  5. He blew out his ACL the same day Derrick did...
  6. I had a game in the late 90s called "Legends Football '98". It was for PC and absolutely rocked. You could play as teams from various eras of the NFL (1932, 1950, 1968, 1997) and you could play under the rules of those eras. I could Play the 97 Bears with the 1930s rules. Pretty awesome.
  7. @FisolaNYDN Spoelstra vs Thibodeau is really Riley vs Van Gundy all over again. Just hope Tom doesn't find himself clutching LeBron's leg for dear life wow, really?
  8. A Star Trek fan site says "Paramount Pictures has announced the next Trek movie will be released in 2016 for the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek." I have not seen this anywhere else.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 8, 2013 -> 09:27 AM) J4L should write a revisionist's history of the NBA. It'd be brutal and completely inaccurate, but it'd be funny as hell to mock. with Snookie on the cover
  10. The billboard has a twitter account: https://twitter.com/commandsign
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 8, 2013 -> 08:58 AM) That really is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Must be a digital board...
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 8, 2013 -> 08:49 AM) The awesomeness of Nate in the billboard and in life is unrivaled. OMG! LOL! Where is that?
  13. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 8, 2013 -> 08:17 AM) http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/why-am-rad...adcasting-night Basically, the signal broadcasts farther at night than during the day for a given power level, so they have to decrease power at night so that their signal isn't interfering with other stations hundreds of miles away. As a radio broadcasting major, I back this up.
  14. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 7, 2013 -> 08:42 PM) Loved and hated it. Loved it in context of the film, hated it in context of handling the source material. See, I never really got into comic books. I think I have owned less than 10 in my life. So, to me, every movie is its own thing. I might read up to get the historical background, but it doesnt influence my thoughts on the movie.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 8, 2013 -> 04:25 AM) While watching Iron Man 3, especially during the part where he asks himself what he's going to do, did anyone else think "just call Hulk or Captain America"? I think the end of Avengers subtly implied they had their moment in the sun as a group and wanted to be away from each other for a while and do their own thing. That being said, the after credits scene puts a little knife in the point I just made. He could have called one of them.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 4, 2013 -> 05:08 PM) She has that kind of quiet beauty that doesn't leap out at you right away...but that just takes hold of you over time. She's not the sort to pose in FHM or Maxim or "try" to be sexy....it's just her natural state of being, a lot like Eva Green (although Ms. Green is almost too naturally voluptuous for her own good). SHe's not the super model wife, but she is the one you'd like to be the mother of your children and know she'd look good with you at a wedding.
  17. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 4, 2013 -> 04:39 PM) Never saw the twist coming in Iron Man 3. yea, that caught me off guard. nice though.
  18. I saw that commercial earlier and was laughing out loud. so awesome.
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 7, 2013 -> 03:25 PM) As Steve said, worst case scenario, you can listen to the Score. When I was in school - in Vermillion, SD, 515 miles away - I could pick it up on clear nights. It wasn't good quality, but that's a hell of a range. You should be pretty good throughout your trip if you can just put up with the Score. USD? My wife's a grad of there
  20. There is a 50,000 watt clear channel station based out of Seattle. i wonder if there are restrictions on WMVPs signal headed out west.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2013 -> 03:17 PM) MVP isn't a 50000 watt? When did that change? According to Radio-Locator.com it is, but it seems to be a week 50,000 with directional restrictions.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2013 -> 03:15 PM) Night is the best time for an AM signal. normally yes, but many stations have to power down at night to not impeed on 50,000 watt stations. Supposedly, this is WMVP's night coverage map:
  23. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 7, 2013 -> 03:03 PM) I drive to the quad cities and a little into Iowa all the time, both on 80 and 88. You should get WMVP at least until the quad cities, if not a little further. wow, really? I was under the impression it drops off pretty quickly outside of the suburbs at night. I know it gets very staticy for me some nights and I'm in Hoffman Estates!
