  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 22, 2013 -> 08:10 AM) They said the chances of her house being hit by an f4 tornado twice was like 1 in a trillion. Play the lotto, lady. the family in her will agree!
  3. QUOTE (Tex @ May 22, 2013 -> 07:52 AM) Really? As someone who raised money for a living, the named donations helped the organization more than those without. It's the bandwagon affect. People think that if X thinks it is a good cause, than they will trust you as well. I can mulitiply a recognizable name or position's donation a lot easier than a no name donation. I talked more than a few people into allowing us to publicize the donation who wished to remain anonymous. So it isn't always the person involved. right, I think we are essentially looking at it from similar angles. You talked them into it to help publicize a cause, and that's cool. i have no issue with that. It's the ones who do it to show how awesome they are tat I have an issue with.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 22, 2013 -> 07:43 AM) Yup. Anything that keeps them from getting a person who can put them into playoff contention the next year or two is good for the Bullsl we're in position to draft Seventh Woods! (google him)
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 21, 2013 -> 03:22 PM) And didnt publicize it. Some celebs would probably have "the donation" televised. I hate people that publicize donations/charity work UNLESS it's done with the intent to bring exposure to a cause.
  6. sorry, i was referencing the used games part. i should have made that more clear.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ May 21, 2013 -> 01:51 PM) This will not play old games and there will be no more used games. Each game will be assigned to a single XBL account. Still have to pay for XBL. Incorrect: Xbox One doesn't need always-on internet connection, supports used games
  8. X-Box One is huge. I mean, physically... it's huge!
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 21, 2013 -> 12:21 PM) Kevin Durant donated $1 million to the Red Cross for tornado relief Good, because according to Westboro Baptist Church it is all his fault....
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:08 AM) The Lakers season of total dysfunction continues http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_...mike-dantoni-gm "Dwight Howard voiced frustrations" I'm shocked! he's NEVER done that before. He's never complained about a coach.
  11. Saw this coming from miles away... Report: Bobcats to announce plans to become the Hornets
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 20, 2013 -> 02:02 PM) LOL. Hollywood has officially run out of ideas: So... it's the Hangover with really old actors. It looks soooooo horrible. WHy would they even agree to do it!? Freeman is above this kind of crap.
  13. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 20, 2013 -> 10:09 AM) Has a hotter woman ever kicked more ass on film than Kate Beckinsale? I think not. This. she makes my loins tingle.
  14. QUOTE (onedude @ May 20, 2013 -> 08:21 AM) Not to be a dick, but there is probably a spoiler in that post. Just saying agrred. needs to be blacked out. I blacked it out in my reply.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2013 -> 07:38 AM) Star Trek was very good...would put it in the Iron Man 3 category, maybe just a tad bit better. Not quite the equal of its predecessor, but . Benjamin Cumberbatch is getting lots of rave reviews for his performance, "stealing" the show from the main cast and crew. For some reason, he reminded me a little bit of Michael Fassbender. And Rachael Taylor, hot hot hot with the short hair and shorter skirt, haha. (Extra bonus points for a gratuitous scene with her in her VS, and thank god for Australia). I think yo mean Alice Eve, not Rachael Taylor. And yes, Alice Eve was something special. Benedict Cumberbatch was amazing. He played his part spectacularly.
  16. I really loved Star Trek Into Darkness. Overall, a very solid movie. There was one particular scene ( ) that I could have done without. It was totally unnecessary . They need to start forging their own path and not have never ending "Call backs" to the orginal movies/series. My wife, who is not a Start Trek fan (prior to the 2009 reboot), LOVED the movie. SHe has never seen the original movies or series.
  17. Going to AMC Barrington 30 tonight to see Star Trek. Super excited!
  18. The NBA REALLY doesn't want the Kings to leave Sacramento. Owners keep Kings in Sacramento The Maloofs strike me a people who might just fold the team to piss of the NBA.
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 15, 2013 -> 01:59 PM) It appears Larry Page has some kind of voice condition. paralysis of the vocal chords One became paralyzed when he was 14 due to a cold. His over cord was paralyzed last year due to a cold.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 14, 2013 -> 02:25 PM) Do a Google Image search for "Atari Breakout". that's brilliant!
  21. Full Agent's of SHIELD Trailer: The more I think about it, the more I love the potential of this show. They can essential pull from the massive Marvel catalog of characters and have a super hero or villain of the week.
  22. It seems like the 2D version of Merida has been removed from the princess.disney.com site and replaced with the 3D Pixar version.
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 14, 2013 -> 11:00 AM) I dunno why Disney decided to sex-up this character. Wasn't she supposed to be all woodsy and not super-feminine in that movie? Just seems like an odd move for the character more than anything. I think that's kind of the point of the outrage. She was specifically made to NOT fit the typical "damsel in distress" model of past Disney princess that needs to be saved by the Prince. She has inner confidence. She was specifically made to be plain and awkward for a reason. Disney decided to sex her up a bit and make her mode like a model.
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 13, 2013 -> 09:06 AM) Titus Young is suddenly challenging Rolando McClain for the league lead in arrests. I need to get into a dead pool so I can pick him
