  1. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) Well, I'm not really hoping she gets raped. I just want her to serve the time like anybody else would. Jail is about rehabilitation. Maybe it will work for her and teach her some responsibility that her parents never did. If they are looking for someone to blame they can look in the mirror. prison is about teaching a lesson. NO ONE wants to go to jail. It's not a good experience. It's not supposed to be. Penalties are what keep us in check. As much as we like to THINK we may not do something because we are good people, ultimately it's about fear of punishment. 40+ days in jail should be some humble pie for her.
  2. Thumbs up the guy from Channel 4 in LA (KNBC), he tried to push the paparazzi out of the way when they rushed the car and darn near got run over by the cop car when he got pushed in front. DAMN! I hate paparazzi.
  3. this just keeps getting better!!
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 10:31 AM) It amazes me that no one today knows who Tesla is, outside of a very select few. he was a little sensationalist in his claims, but he had some great ideas and was way ahead of his time.
  5. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 09:38 AM) Yeah, that would be the idea. They are a few years away, no doubt, but on the right track. Nikola Tesla would be so proud!!
  6. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 02:10 PM) This just in...When LOST comes back it'll be in sitcom format! AWESOME!!!
  7. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 12:13 PM) She was released due to a medical condition. I was watching MSNBC as this was all unfolding. One reporter called this 100% crap. I loved her example, Jack Kavorkia has cancer all over his body and is dying. He was not allowed out of jail. How could Paris have something more serious than that!?
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 10:35 AM) http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/06/07/p...lton/index.html looks like house arrest, and release was due to a medical condition gonorrhea?
  9. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 10:13 AM) Gee, house arrest for 40 days. Sounds like a reality show in the making to me. Too bad California's Son of Sam law was struck down in 2002.
  10. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 09:11 AM) But she was crying!!! How DARE they feed here such "commoner" food like hot dogs and beans!
  11. QUOTE(Shadows @ May 24, 2007 -> 08:58 PM) Too many high school kids there, and with school out it means its gonna be 10x worse than when I saw Spiderman 3 at the midnight showing I went last night and a whole group about 2 rows in front of us got kicked out for talking loudly, constently getting up and walikg aroud, and talking/texting on their cell phones. One guy actually got up, stomped up behind them and yelled "shut up or I'll throw you out myself!". He got allause. Eventually Loews kicked them out.
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2880979 Very good article.
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ May 23, 2007 -> 10:03 AM) She's engaged, and he's married to his sport. I agree on him, but she is no longer engaged... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julianne_Hough#Personal
  14. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ May 23, 2007 -> 08:58 AM) Am I the only guy here who got hooked on that show. That Julianne girl is going to be a star. This is probably just the very beginning of things for her. She's ony 18, but in my non expertise eyes, she had the best choregraphy of any of the pros. Let me also add she is smoking hot. I'm glad her and apolo won. I agree. She was really good and looked like she was having such a good time. It didnt look like a job or performance. When you truely are joyfull in what you are doing, it shines. She is amazingly good looking. Two young people, I am kind of suprised we havent heard rumors of romance between them yet.
  15. I HIGHTLY doubt this. Bears don't want a QB controversy. Rex is the man.
  16. QUOTE(BobDylan @ May 9, 2007 -> 11:41 PM) Jacob is Locke. That's my feeling now. Or something of the sort. There is no doubt in my mind that Jacob is real. Some supporting Evidence?
  17. i freaking love this show!
  18. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 3, 2007 -> 08:34 PM) blandest food ever, but huge portions. A full portion is good for 2 days! and the slice of cake.... OMG!!! Food for 10!
  19. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ May 2, 2007 -> 05:11 PM) 24 (as of tomorrow) 5'10" Happy birthday!!!
  20. I think they found a way to get there... in theory. Travel through extra-dimensions with HyperDrive!
  21. QUOTE(Balance @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 01:45 PM) No word on whether there's a Starbuck's there yet.... There is.
  22. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) I saw them talking about this on the news. This is really interesting. I wonder how long until they send something out there to check it out. They could send it tomorrow and none of us, nor our grandchildren, nor their grandchildren, nor THEIR grandchildren, ect would ever find out. As fo August of 2006, The Voyager 1 space craft is only .002 light years from the sun and It's been out in space for over 29 years!!! At that rate, it would take 297,250 years to reach this newly found planet.
  23. http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/space/04/25/h...t.ap/index.html Ok, now how do we get there?? 20.5 Lightyears is a LONG way. That's roughly 20 years at Warp 1, or over a week at Warp 8 (1,024 times the speed of light)... and Warp Drive doesn't exist!
