  1. Sox up 4-2. PK two run jack. I think next inning Rowand doubles home Gload.
  2. Correct
  3. It is, it'll be worth it. It's a 100 iles to the Phoenix area, so it'll proably be an extra 30 minutes to actually get to the stadium parking, with lights and everything.
  4. Right on, the drive can be long so leave a little early. Oh ya, there's an ostrich farm along the way, close to Tucson, lol. The stadium looks dull on tv, but it is actually nice (Sox/Diamondbacks ST stadium.) You'll have fun, no doubt. I want to be back, lol.
  5. Another forum: Harris lead off with a double, Uribe singled him home. The three outs were strikeouts, but I think someone else got a hit?
  6. Awesome, have fun man. I got back about a week ago from a 12 day trip. Lots of fun. I went to ASU, you'll have a lot of fun there.
  7. Anyone going to narrate, I don't have the MLB thingy? Please.
  8. I like the D-Rays, except when we play them, but I kind of like the Stros too. Not because they are in the Cub's division, just because..., well I don't know why. They got Frank's twin on the team so that helps.
  9. I'm not trying to start a debate, because I really don't know. However, they said it was the most likely case in that www.whitesox.com excerpt to start, with a move soon to AAA if all went well. Regardless, unless Borchard is tearing it up I'm assuming, Reed was implied to get a call up if anyone went down in the majors by KW. That wasn't in the article, but I remember him referring to that during ST. I hope they can nurse that wrist a little bit. The last thing we need is one of our future outfielders having problems like Prior.
  10. If Rowand is a toss up in your opinion, why would you want to trade away the one who is a true center fielder.
  11. I hope so, but he may end up in AA temporarily.
  12. I guess he just figures to start there, but he was assigned to minor league camp whereas Borchard was assigned to AAA. We'll see I guess, but either way he should be on his way up there soon. The two most recent high draft picks will start their season at Winston-Salem, while Reed figures to begin at Birmingham, with a chance to move quickly on to Triple-A Charlotte. The trio can bring along the volumes of knowledge picked up during Spring Training from not only hitting and playing against Major Leaguers but also watching how their teammates prepare for a game.
  13. Not necessarily. They could ease these guys in, and eventually throw Maggs as a DH in the latter years of a long extension, if Frank is retired by then, which I assume he will be. Carlos Lee may be an option for that too. Besides, these guys look real good, but sometimes things happen. We can't consider them locks just yet. Although it does look good.
  14. I guess it's possible, but why would KC do that when they feel they have a legitmate chance at the division. In order for that even being a possibility, they will need Beltran. Although they need pitching, and this could help them out.
  15. Good deal. Shingo looks to have more confidence, and has made the adjustments he needed. Glad to see it.
  16. Has a little to do with being in Arizona as well. The ball carries more.
  17. You can't have too much pitching, and he looks to have promise. Guys in the organization are still liking him. Even if he just became a solid long reliever, that's still valuable. I doubt anyone would prefer Rauch, Honel, or whoever to be a long reliever, even though it could be beneficial for some of them to get their foot in the door. I like Diaz to become a good reilever/setup man in his future. Looks to have good stuff, but I believe his endurance is slightly in question. He has been used as a reliever in the minors, and has been successful.
  18. After yesterday's performance, we look ready to go. When we get on a roll, we really lay it on, huh? Lol, as a McDonald's spokesman would say, "I'm loving it."
  19. I know he's pretty decent, but he's supposed to make up for Prior? Right!
  20. On another note. Cubs losing 11-4 in the 7th, and Stone just said this is long from over.
  21. I think we are 11-5 at home. Ozzie doesn't take the bulk of our lineup, or pitchers to Phoenix on that s***ty drive. It's long and boring, although there is an ostrich farm along the way, lol. I never stopped at it.
  22. Many people were just upset that we didn't go and get a premeire FA. Harris will struggle from time to time, but IMO he has earned the right to start at second. He has a lot of upside with Guillen teaching him to be a quality lead off man. His attitude seems to be get on base for the big boys, and that's step one. I like what I see to date.
  23. Not only that but Uribe can play SS and third in a utility role. Willie can't do that. Willie needs to be the second baseman.
  24. What does he have left on his contract, like 5 years at a large amount. These guys don't know what we want or need. We have guys like Sweeney, Anderson, Reed, Borchard, Carlos Lee, Rowand, and possibly Maggs if extended. If not next year, the year after we should have the future outfield in place. I don't see Griffey in it.
