  1. I'm saying that there's so much demand for tickets with the Bears that the average individual can't see them in person without taking out a second mortgage. A second team would allow for more Chicagoans to experience the NFL in person.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 10:58 PM) so are you more of a stadium fan than a fan of a team? BTW, the inside of Soldier field is pretty awesome, far superior to the venue it replaced. And pretty much all NFL tickets are jacked up, unless you want to move to a city that really doesnt give a s***, and thats actually pretty hard to find. No, I'm saying that the Bears make it difficult for Joe Average to be more than a TV fan of them. The Colts and Lions have nosebleed seats for 20 bucks - the Bears do not. Plus, new Soldier Field and its s***y turf is a joke compared against new stadiums.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 08:48 PM) True. And I said in chat that I understood that. But he brings that here as well. If my job was to talk to fans, no matter where, I'd have to bring it here as well. Bad-mouthing the Sox would be tantamount to bad-mouthing his boss. And, if you're like any employee, you just don't do it where you think it can get back to him.
  4. s***ty field, stupid looking stadium, jacked up prices, horrible ownership... I'd at least watch a second team if they were in the AFC. Plus, I might actually be able to find decent seats.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 08:31 PM) Sorry, Ranger. You're lying your ass off if you dispute that you're not a colossal homer. If someone paid me to talk on the radio about the Sox, I'd be a colossal homer too.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 07:34 PM) A second NFL team that won a bit would succeed. This city can only deal with Lovie/Angelo/McCaskeys for so long A second basketball team would fail, hence why I said "inexplicably". Bring Jacksonville or Buffalo. But only if they win.
  7. A second basketball team would fail in Chicago. A second NFL team with nicer facilities and decent prices might succeed though.
  8. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 07:21 PM) Dust In The Wind? I'm glad that no one picked, "Another One Bites The Dust."
  9. Sooo... 45 mph winds and 4 inches of snow tonight. Great.

  13. He looks a little like he could be related to Dr Dre.
  14. PS: The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary.
  15. If you have Gio Gonzalez, you have Brian Anderson or Rob Mackowiak in CF for the year that Swisher was here. Check that: Brian Anderson, Jerry Owens or Dewayne Wise in CF.
  16. I picked the wrong day to give up not starting game threads.
  17. I don't know if it's humane or inhumane, but if it's regulated and people are slowly weaned off of it, it's not the worst idea. Quitting anything "cold turkey" can be rough on your system. This idea here is a poor one, though.
