  3. At least the bullpen hasn't been blowing leads lately.
  4. The San Juan Dodgers... I like the sound of that!
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 11:12 AM) What the heck do this post, and that news article, even have to do with the subject of this thread? The thread wasn't about caulfield. Now... it is.
  6. Pretty cool, wite! Thanks for the update!
  7. As much as I'm not happy as to where the Sox are right now, dropping Ozzie and KW would be fool-hardy. Who is a better option out there right now for next year? KW is a very good GM with a bad habit of dragging corpses from the late '90s/early '00s onto the roster. Over the next 3 years, the Sox will be rebuilding and repairing the Doug Wilder mess and will have prospects to use from the home system. Beckham and Sale are the tip of it. Mitchell and Thompson can't be far behind. Sox fans are very short-sighted at times. How do you know that the grass on the other side of the fence is greener because it's better? How do you know that it's not Krylon and Astroturf?
  8. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 09:47 PM) I was there at the very first game. The whole 16-0 debacle. I remember it vividly. Park has changed for the better over the years, that's for sure. The bleachers were brutal. Metal benches at a major league park... really?
  9. Winner: Paul Konerko (1 point) - knightni, smalls2598, southsider2k5, Yoda, buhbuhburrrrlz. Castro had more total bases, but his K, LOB and PB gave him 0.
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 09:23 PM) I don't quite understand the first part of your post if you are from Chicago. If you live in Chicago, and you decide at some age that you like football, the Bears are your team. At least that's how it should work. Yet somehow you don't like that team, live here, then would jump onto a new team also representing Chicago? I don't get it. I mean, I am a die hard Hawks fan, and for all the s*** that happened when I was growing up with them, they were my team. I liked hockey and lived in Chicago. They are my NHL team, for better or for worse, that's just how it works. In baseball you have a decision to make. In the other sports, you don't. Was every fan in New York required to be a Yankees and football Giants fan prior to the Mets and Jets arriving?
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) Bill Wirtz? That's exactly what I was going to respond with. "It worked so well with the Blackhawks."
  12. Wouldn't the NFL give any relocating team a waiver on the blackout for 3 or 4 years? They'd need to build up fan base.

  14. Alright. I'll go with one of them. You can tell me if you want something different later.
  15. Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here is a popular choice.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 12:22 AM) Catch all item: Who puts the little funny comment under our names. Mine is ad nauseum which is starting to make me nauseous. Can't I change it to Rock Star or something? K. Changed it.
