  2. As a bonus, whoever decides to commish Keeper League 2, will be invited to fill one of the open spots on Keeper League 1.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 09:42 PM) Have we gotten any hits from these BR sponsorships? I have no idea on how to check. Perhaps Kap might know.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 09:12 PM) my favorite was when the guy crashed because of some hideous girl on the sidewalk he was oogling. Eaglewoman!
  5. I kept my promise, by the way. http://www.baseball-reference.com/f/floydga01.shtml
  6. The Keeper #1 league is almost full. We have two spots to fill (by invitation only), draft is about 2 weeks away. There has been talk about a Keeper #2. Anyone who's up for commishing it, let me know. If you decide to commish, realize that this is at minimum, a 3 year commitment. If you fail this commitment, I will hound you with unwanted PMs for years afterwards. (semi-kidding) Soxtalk League 1 is almost full, draft is set for the 15th, noon-ish right now. Any openings left in league 1 will be known by tomorrow. Soxtalk League 2 needs a commish. I know who was in league 2 last year, as I was in it, but I will not be commishing it. If you are interested, contact myself or ZoomSlowik. I have not heard anything about League 3. If you were in League 3 last year, please let me know who was the commish. League 4 is to be commished by Jimbo's Drinker. I'm not sure of its status, however. Jimbo, what is its status? FYI, if Zoom remains elusive, I will be taking over organization of the Soxtalk Leagues by this weekend.

  8. Alrighty. I bought Floyd's page for $25 and Thornton's for $10. If anyone wants to contribute financially to either page, PM me and I will send you my Paypal or mailing address. Of course, anyone who contributes will have their screen name in the sponsorship page.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 12:35 AM) While I see your point, my math teacher celebrated pi day every year and mole day every year... Perhaps "Bobbing For Sir Issac Newton's Apples" would be a better game? Algebra Mad Libs? Pin the tail on Pythagoras? Best Horseshoe Parabolas with Archimedes' Theorems?
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 01:14 PM) weird that they haven't given him a start at 3b yet Hmmmm, I wonder if he's still hurting... Perhaps he strained his back looking up at all those popups that he hit in the batting cage.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 12:29 AM) why that would be on 3/14 not 3/3/09 Actually, that would be on 3/14/15. It's a math themed event.
  12. And truth to the rumor that they'll be a Pi Eating contest?
  13. O WAS THIS THREAD HERE ALL DAY? HAPPY BIRFTSDEY FRIEND!
  14. Can't take much money to have your dog f*** you while nerds watch.
  15. ZoomSlowik is putting together the fantasy teams. PM him with your interest in a second keeper league.
  16. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 11:04 PM) Cinci sucks to party in so plan on heading across the border to KY - that's where all the fun is... Hopefully it doesn't involve moonshine and one's own sister.

  18. QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 05:49 PM) I take it as you're referring to his leaping catch on the Santos error? I like Allen, I think he's going to put up some nice numbers at the ML level next year. No, he's referring to his speed on the bases.

  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 05:36 PM) Didnt mean to come off like a dickhead. I bet if some of the folks on here tried to climb it like I have, they wouldnt think it sounded so gay. I doubt that. It would still sound gay.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 05:34 PM) Well, Camelback mountain is probably the most prominant natural landmark in Phoenix and can be seen from every place in the entire area since it sits in the middle ofthe valley. Its possible they named it after that. Touche'
