QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 07:50 PM) Um, do we need more help? I'm getting a little impatient. The list has begun. In Pale Hose Talk. I need someone between the ages of 34 and 50 to PM me, I have a bio that I could use some help with.

The Jets are offering a 4th rounder, Green Bay requested a player plus a 3rd rounder from Tampa Bay.

48. Brian Anderson (4 of 27 lists - 41 points - highest ranking #2 Heads22) Bio by Heads22 - I guess Brian became one of my favorite players after the Rowand deal. He wasn't a guy I followed in the minors, really, at all. But I was never as enamored with Rowand as the rest. His callup in late 2005, when he went deep twice in a game against Seattle, got me on his bandwagon early. His struggles irked many of the posters here, but I wanted to see him succeed if for no other reason than I wanted to see a Sox rookie succeed for once. You know, he's just one of those guys that a fan has an irrational love for. I'm sure many other people out there have a guy they've always rooted for, despite having no real rationale. Brian's that guy for me. No matter what Ozzie or anyone else thinks of him, Brian is balls-to-the wall in Centerfield. He gives 1,000% out there on defense. Please feel free to comment with any more info and favorite stories about this player or any other in this list.

His hitting style is Ozzie-esque -- except for the HR power part. Guillen wouldn't take a walk if it was free.

63 - 49 1.0 game up on those damn Twins.

49. Kelly Wunsch (3 of 27 lists - 40 points - highest ranking #4 maggsmaggs) bio by maggsmaggs During the time I became a die-hard Sox fan, the soft throwing, submarine left-hander quickly became one of the most reliable arms in the Sox’s pen. But what really stood out to me about the Texas-native was his facial hair. He had such groomed facial hair, with a terrific goatee and trimmed side burns. Every time you saw Wunsch on the field, in the dugout or just walking around, he genuinely looked happy. And everything I have read about him says that he was one of the nicest guys in baseball. Though he may be most remembered for being on the mound when the Carlos Guillen and the Mariners walked-off with a bunt in the 2000 playoffs, my heart has a soft spot for this southpaw. He's also a hell of a singer and guitar player. http://www.goodsportsrecordings.com/recording4.html Please feel free to comment with any more info and favorite stories about this player or any other in this list.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 09:20 PM) Do you guys remember that one game, against the Tigers, when Alexei Ramirez hit a 2-out home run in the bottom of the 8th inning off Kyle Farnsworth to tie the game, after the Sox had been down 6-1, and then later in the 14th inning, Nick Swisher hit a 3-run walk-off homer to win the game? That was awesome. I'll say it... "Yeah, I remember it like it was only yesterday."

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) Ha, yes! I'm the man in the relationship. Only because I've always liked you.

50. Alexei Ramirez (3 of 27 lists - 40 points - highest ranking #7 rangercal) .312-BA 92-H 41-R 18-2B 1-3B 10-HR 40-RBI 8-SB Bio by Texsox - It takes most players years to become a fan favorite. They may fall into the background as the stars and long term players grab the spot light. Others grab the fans attentions right from the start with their outstanding play and personality. At 6’3” and 185 pounds, Alexei Ramirez is the thinnest player on the Sox, and one of the quickest. On a team full of ox mules and lumberjacks, Ramirez stands out. The recently immigrated Cuban second baseman, alongside fellow newcomer shortstop Orlando Cabrera, forms the future middle of the infield for the Sox. Whether fans are falling for his potential, his current production, it is easy to see why Ramirez is one of the Soxtalk fan favorites. Here's a nice platitude-containing blog entry: http://sugarskullparade.blogspot.com/2008/...t-clemente.html Please feel free to comment with any more info and favorite stories about this player or any other in this list.

Amanda Beard bares all for PETA

She's very toned and fit but looks a bit...off in the face, I think. -
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 06:48 PM) You should see them fight in chat. Once they made me cry because it was so awful It makes me sad every time momma Bobby D and daddy Milky D fight. I want to go cry in my closet.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 02:22 AM) Some rookie SP Waters from Baltimore shut out LAA in 8 innings today. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 02:45 PM) "Somebody bring me some Water(s)" Some good old school Melissa Etheridge right there. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 03:02 PM) Please hand in your man card on your way out the door.

QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) Question; I am going on a trip with about 19 people to upstate NY next weekend, and we need to hire some vehicles to get up there and back. So where would be the best place to go to? We were thinking of maybe hiring a couple of minivan's and then a smaller car, but whatever would work out the cheapest would be the best. I also get discounts from Avis and Budget through my work of around 15-20%. http://www.charterbuslimousines.com/quote_select_vehicle.php Rent a mini bus. $80 an hour is pricey, but you guys would all be together. Neither Avis nor Budget has the 12 person vans available at JFK or LaGuardia.

NFL releases new code of conduct for fans
knightni replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 02:05 PM) You want Goodell to start summarily executing players or something? How could he be any harsher? I'm saying that each team should police their own fans and the NFL should butt out. -

How about a better code of conduct for the NFL's players first? -

November can't come soon enough...

Here's a funny idea. Three-way secret trade. Tampa sends a 3rd rounder to GB, then secretly sends him to Minnesota for a 2nd rounder.

QUOTE (GOD @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 01:53 AM) wow if you think about it we should probably have about only 4 wins in the last two weeks, but hey let the miracles keep coming until this team gets its groove back. Thank God for miracles.

I like G2. Apparently so do a lot of people. It's always out at Walmart. Of course, a 32 oz. bottle is 75 cents this week.
