Quality middle relief is nearly impossible to get through waivers. Usually, only someone of the caliber of Mike MacDougal is the level of RP that makes it through.

I would bet that there will eventually be a 5 man rotation with 4 spots. Swisher rotates between CF and 1B. Dye between RF and DH. Konerko between 1B and DH. Thome will DH most often. Griffey between CF, RF and DH.

Russell will be back up, Wise will be outrighted and brought back Sept 1 probably.
