    James Hetfield changed his singing style after The Black Album to help his voice last longer. Unfortunately, his new musical singing style made Metallica sound less like Metallica and more like Waylon Jennings with electric guitars.

    QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 12:26 AM) Is there any way to or can wool hats be stretched after shrinking?? If so, how? I got soaked in the rain and my cap shrunk to a much tighter fit than I prefer... QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 02:09 PM) Stretch it on the bottom of a sauce pan. I don't think it will go back to looking the same, though. Just all stretched, felt-like and strained looking. You can't undo wool shrinkage.
  7. QUOTE (joeynach @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 03:25 AM) Uh oh the white sox are facing a left handed pitcher they have never seen before....DA DA DUN!! If he has a good change up we are really screwed. Can they seriously lose to a guy that looks like this?
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 02:01 AM) Also, any suggestions for a good hair gel/spray for guys? Remember, I'm cheap.
  9. I found these pictures on Wikipedia of Babe Ruth's supposed "called shot". I made them into a .gif. Enjoy!

  12. QUOTE (rangercal @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 08:05 PM) Konerko is 2/2 so far with 1 RBI. I have a good feeling this thread will die soon. Not as long as you keep posting in it! Whoops! I posted in it too! PS - Try Mountain Dew Supernova. Pretty good!

    I haven't had major issues with their high speed; just router to internet issues early on. Their Digital Voice system is substandard however.

  17. True story... I actually threw away Boardwalk at McDonalds. So, there's a million bucks that I'll never have.
  18. I'd say that Anaheim and Boston are up there.
  19. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 06:04 PM) innings? All i remember is Liney blowing roughly 10 saves and Dotel getting 1 chance and 1 save. "Innings" as in having a 1-2-3 all-K 9th is not worthy to be bashed because of. I'm only defending Dotel here, not Linebrink.
  20. Bump http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewproduct.ht...e=12-57659786-2 IT'S ON SALE!!
  21. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 06:26 AM) It was a complete joke that Eckersley won the MVP and the Cy Young that year. ESPN slobbed the A's proverbial knobs in the early '90s.
