  1. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:15 PM) If you read the title quickly, it looks like it says "Odds of Buehrle Going to the Hell?" I thought that too, but I figured that it wasn't funny enough.

    QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 08:05 PM) Jackass. What?

    Films Thread

    QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) That's all fine. It was just more of a reminder for people to use them, and use them a lot. Gotcha.

    Films Thread

    QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) OK, I am going to make this request of my fellow SoxTalkers now... for those of us who may not get to see Batman on Opening Night.... please, please, please try to avoid anything even resembling spoilers in here. We have spoiler tags.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 03:09 AM) Texas has beat the piss out of the Sox in Arlington for a while now. The Sox should bean the leadoff hitter in the series in The Cell. This is the same team that had Dracula beaning everyone on our team, right? Padilla made a habit out of plunking AJ and Anderson in '06 and '07.
  6. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:33 AM) Uhhhhhhh no. What's wrong with Rover? You get to go everywhere.
  7. The one at Van Buren and Halsted was where I went.
  8. Thanks for the bump Steve! There's only about a week left to get your lists in! Certainly you guys love the Sox...?
  9. QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) I know. I see this being a great disaster. I'll actually be looking forward to my 4 year old melting down and the timeshare people showing us to the door. It's gonna be classic. Actually, it sounds like a Steve Martin/John Candy/Chevy Chase movie plot.
  10. Slim. Buehrle has never won 20, and he isn't a power pitcher. If he doesn't pitch until he gets 300 wins, he's another Mike Cuellar, Jamie Moyer or Frank Tanana.
  11. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=cr-w...o&type=lgns Worst 1st round picks ever. #32 isn't bad though.
  12. Hallelujah. All they need now is a QB and two WRs.
  13. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/baseball/316...seballtv18.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MLB_Network I'm stoked! Hopefully it's not Yankees/Red Sox 24/7.

    Pizza

    QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 12:15 PM) You have to try Barnaby's. Best pizza ever, IMO. Its a crappy little restaurant, there are 3 or 4 of them, around the north and northwest side and suburbs. Dark, dingy, poorly decorated, and you have to pick up your pizza at the counter (they scream numbers over a PA system). But the pie is just amazing. There are two in South Bend/Mishawaka here too. Awesome beer batter crust.
  15. Right now with short hair, I can squeeze into a 7 7/8. It depends on the cap though.
  16. See the Tribune Tower and its pieces of famous buildings in it. See an IMAX movie and visit the stained glass museum at Navy Pier. Eat at a restaurant in Greek Town Try and get tickets to Oprah or Springer. See the Picasso at Daley Plaza. Definitely go to the Art Institute. See Buckingham Fountain at Grant Park, and the Bean at Millennium Park. Go see a Second City show. Go see a Broadway in Chicago show like Wicked. Go to a Medieval Times dinner and show. Go to a Noble Horse Theatre show.
  17. Solution solved! Put Kong or Thome back at 3B next year!
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 01:44 AM) Crede walks. We then want Adrian Beltre because KW is not sure on Fields. Beltre won't be on the M's after July 31, most likely. He won't be on the Sox either. Seattle would tell Kenny to take a hike if he demanded that they take Kong. They just dumped their Konerko clone in Sexson and I doubt that they want another.
  19. Where would he play this year? Konerko's going nowhere. I highly doubt that Dunn's worth what he wants for next year either.
  20. QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 12:53 AM) As a Sox fan, the "Most Disliked SI cover" award should go to the Tom Brady/Peyton Manning cover that previewed a mid-season NFL game the week that the Sox won the World Series. The Sox were relegated to a little box in the corner, and all things being equal, I'm sure that wouldn't happen to the Red Sox or Cubs. It didn't. In fact, in 2004, the Red Sox got the cover while Brady/Manning got the tiny box.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 14, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) Hamilton So... yeah.
  22. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 14, 2008 -> 06:28 PM) Hell, I'd almost rather have Daniel Cabrera over Contreras. In the other thread. I never even saw the rumor.
