My basic comments from the film area: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: Very quick-moving, similar to the last movie in the fact that you feel like things have been left out, it seems to rush a lot. JK Rowling's on track to write a War and Peace-sized Deathly Hallows book, so it's tough to fit 7 hours of book into 2 and a half hours of film time. But, I felt cheated, like I was at a museum an hour before closing and was being pushed along through the stuff I hadn't seen yet.

Movies I've seen this month: Evan Almighty: Very family friendly, has some funny moments. Plot's mediocre but I thought it was a nice movie. Going to flop at the box office because the general public doesn't like clean movies that reference bible stories. Frank Welker got the shaft when they chose Hugo Weaving to voice Megatron. All in all, I'd say rewatch it for... MEGAN FOX OMG!.

So... what's the difference between being thrown under and being thrown in front of the bus?

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jul 14, 2007 -> 11:37 AM) er.........really? Steve's also the same guy who said he'd suck dicks if Milledge gets traded for Contreras, so, he's not that picky.

Customers are assholes as much as customer service people. There's way too much "customer is always right" and "my kids aren't like that" bulls*** around. If any of you ever worked customer service, you'd agree with me. People will try anything to get "paid".

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 12, 2007 -> 01:10 PM) Anyone catch the piece on Rick Ankiel on SC last night? Apparently the guy is playing lights out in the minors.....as a center fielder. Good luck to him. His only problem, he can't hit the cutoff man or the catcher on the fly. Slightly green there.

Dewon Day needs to be DFA'd immediately.

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Jul 11, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) The Reds rotation with Bailey, Harang and Charles Bronson needs some 3 through 5 guys. Heh.

1. Has A-Rod already been a White Sox player? 2. Has A-Rod already brought the White Sox three championships? 3. Is A-Rod the greatest endorsement personality in major sports today? 4. Can A-Rod bring 1 billion in secondary cash to the city of Chicago in hotels, restaurants, clubs etc. on his own just by being here? (Has he with NYY?) 5. Is A-Rod represented by an agent whom the White Sox have no problems working with in the past? 6. Is A-Rod capable of inspiring other players on his team to better play just by being on the field with him? 7. When you think professional sports icons, do you immediately think "A-Rod"? 8. Can A-Rod bring higher TV and advertising revenues to JR just by being on the White Sox?

As a Giants fan and being 32, he'd be perfect as Bonds' replacement next year.

That poor dog 'Bruin'. He convinced it to try and drown itself in McCovey Cove.

Well, he knows how the Heat feel now. He's been stealing from them for years.

How do you get there early to a place that's open 24 hours? Well... it's now July 11 2:00am edt., I'd say that NYC is out of them by now.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 11, 2007 -> 12:30 AM) AL pride Honestly, did anybody actually expect Bobby to get into the game? Couldn't have done much worse than Putz or K-Rod.

Could be worse... The police have been looking for the guy who stole his jumpshot for years.

Khalil Greene Leaving the West Coast for the South Side?

QUOTE(BearSox @ Jul 10, 2007 -> 12:53 AM) not really. Greene at least puts up good numbers away. Uribe just puts up bas numbers everywhere. How is that really a big difference then? Greene hasn't hit over .250 since one time in 2004. He hasn't hit over 15 home runs in a season yet (ok, he will this season most likely). 70 RBIs once. Career BA .253 Uribe (hit over .250 thrice and hit over .250 in his rookie season in half a year) 3 1/2 yrs over .250. He's hit 20 home runs twice. 70 RBIs thrice. Career BA .255 Both are 27. Uribe > Greene if you go offense alone. Uribe and Greene are both superior defenders, so that's a wash. Overall, Uribe is as good as Greene, if not better. -
QUOTE(max power @ Jul 10, 2007 -> 12:48 AM) Haha, ok. I'd like to make a suggestion to the owners of the site. Have some kind of premium membership where long time/generous users can donate through paypal at a very reasonable cost to help support the site. They would receive some benefit . . . not sure what though Free Viagra, lottery winnings from the UK, or Nigerian riches.

Khalil Greene and Juan Uribe are reverse carbon copies of each other. If you dislike Uribe, you'll dislike Greene. -
I liked Rowand's D' and all, but I'm just sick of the whole "Don't you miss Chicago, Rowand?" thing by the Chicago media.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 11:32 PM) I know, I really wanted to watch The Bronx is burning It pretty much mirrors Reggie Jackson's biography. Go read that.
