  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 31, 2012 -> 01:15 PM) TOTAL steals where he takes the ball away from an opponent. You should have been more specific. Not sure what this is supposed to mean.
  2. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 31, 2012 -> 01:01 PM) Rubio also leads the league in steals. Er, sorry, TOTAL steals. He's going to demolish the franchise record for steals and might set the franchise record for assists too. As a rookie. He's pretty good, I guess. Gonna be a nice little race between Rubio/Irving for ROY. Haven't had one of those in a while.
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 31, 2012 -> 12:47 PM) "Leading the league in assists" is pretty clear. No. You should've said leading the league in total assists. If the season ended today, Nash would be the assist champ. Rodman won one of his rebounding titles despite Jayson Williams pulling down more total boards.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 31, 2012 -> 12:44 PM) You are looking at averages. In total assists... 1. Rubio - 186 2. Nash - 179 3. Calderon - 177 4. Parker - 172 5. Deron - 170 Obviously Rondo's been banged up and he ain't playin' for awhile. Nash's old ass is missing games here and there as well. The incredible thing to think of is the fact that Rubio was being dicked for starters' minutes the first few weeks of the season. The dude is a gifted distributor. Blah. You should've specified.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 31, 2012 -> 12:32 PM) Ricky Rubio currently leads the NBA in assists. I believe CP3 did this as a rookie... did anyone else achieve said feat? Incredible. Rubio is tied with Paul for third in assists behind Nash and Rondo. I know Paul led the league in '08 when he was robbed of the MVP. Nash led the league every year from '04 to '07 I believe.
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 31, 2012 -> 12:06 AM) Mo Williams isn't going to hit 52% of his 3's all year. Not that that's the main reason, but they've been shooting hot. Still a ways to go. Oh I agree. Just saying. They got a big road win against a very good Denver team last night and pretty much obliterated the Thunder tonight. If Paul can stay on the court from this point on, they're the best team, IMO, in that division with upside.
  7. For all the Clipper hate (or Del Negro hate), they're about to be 12-6 and that's with the best "point" guard in the NBA missing half a dozen games. They're still a work in progress, but that's a team I would reckon no western conference foe would want any part of in the first round.
  8. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 08:52 PM) Wolves just put up 42 points in the third quarter in Houston. Nice to see them bounce back from a tough loss to the Lakers. Michael Beasley!?
  9. QUOTE (SouthSideTeacher @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) Noah's pretty close to a triple double tonight--after 4 games worth of double doubles. still probably won't be enough of an effort to silence the haters. let's get rid of Noah--and damned near everyone else-- so we could bring in Howard, right? Right
  10. Ryan Anderson pulled down 20 rebounds in 27 minutes tonight? With Dwight Howard on the floor for nearly 40? And the Magic are officially awful. That leaves the Heat, Bulls, Hawks, Pacers, Sixers and maybe the Celtics as only non-awful eastern conference teams.
  11. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 01:51 PM) Noah rotates on to LeBron and Wade really, really well. And Dwight is twice the athlete Noah is. Dwight in TT's system? Noah is of no relevance in this fantasy scenario.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) Losing Deng would really hurt against Miami, especially without Noah. Joel Anthony and Eddy Curry. I repeat. Joel Anthony and Eddy Curry. Dwight would go for 30/15 easily.
  13. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 01:46 PM) Remember, All-Star game this year is in Orlando on February 26th. I can't imagine the Magic trade Howard before then, and have him play the All-Star game in Orlando with a different team. Thus, it's more likely than not that he will not be traded before March 1st. Excellent point. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 01:46 PM) Great, the Bulls were a 60 win team last year. Well, Boozer is a little better than Carlton Banks.
  14. Q, ideally you'd like to keep Deng. Of course. I think this is all bulls***. But if Luol Deng is what it took, see ya.
  15. PF: Carlton Banks SF: Paul Pfeiffer C: Dwight Howard SG: Kimmy Gibler PG: Derrick Rose Bench: the cast from the Breakfast Club. That's still a 50-win team. Depth my ass. Worry about that later.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 01:17 PM) Yeah, but Noah, Deng, Mirotic, and the Bobcats pick both weakens us now and mortgages the future. Um, what? I'll pay that price for the second most dominant player in the game, who's 26 and right smack in the middle of his prime.
  17. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 08:31 PM) Lost in this whole overreaction fest was my post with the tweet showing that Howard may changing his mind about the Bulls KG, Gasol, Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Carmelo, etc. Let's face it. Other than winning the lottery again, Chicago will not see another superstar anytime soon.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) Too many straight, similar losses to the Heat. It makes me want to f***ing murder something. Rose didn't make mince meat of Heat perimeter defenders last year like he did today. It's clear this was by design. He knows for the most part that he settled way too often last year. He made it his mission to get into the paint at will. Keep that up, they've got a chance (their only chance).
  19. Orlando with the worst week in NBA history. 56 points against Boston on Monday. They blow a 27-point lead against Boston on Thursday. A 26-point beatdown against the might Hornets on Friday. And today they lose by 21 at home against the Pacers. Edit: I see they beat the Pacers on Tuesday. Still an awful week for them.
  20. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 07:45 PM) LBJ makes or breaks the Heat, in the end, it falls on him, he creates a match up nightmare because of his size and quickness, if LBJ is off, Bosh nor Wade aren't leading the Heat to a title. We saw what happened when LBJ went missing in the 4th qrtrs of the Finals. We need to figure out a way to get inside LBJ's head, a James Rules perhaps? No, LeBron made or broke the Cavs. Not the Heat. That's ridiculous. LeBron has one of the better "supporting" casts any superstar has had since the 1960's when there were like 4 teams in the league.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 07:50 PM) Yup. And they lost. And Wade sucked. They can't hang. Well look at this flip-flop. I'm trying to be semi-positive. lol.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 07:33 PM) Well, forget all this "Wade played like s*** business"... that's the whole point of this Heat team. One guy can blow, but they still have another superstar ready to hit ridiculous shots. Seriously, I just relived last year's ECF. It is what it is... the Bulls can't hang with the Heat. And this is where I'll disagree. If Rose plays like he did today, they can beat the Heat, or atleast come close. They have nobody, not even LeBron, that can check him. He got anything he wanted and got to the line 14 times. That's no fluke. He can do that. And that's why I hate that he shoots so many 3's/long J's.
  23. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 07:30 PM) Then again, Wade has struggled against the Bulls D going back to last year, he hasn't gone off against Bogans, Brewer, Hamilton on him today. And the Heat have still won the last 5 games. Now how often do you think Wade, a former finals MVP and one of the best players of this era, is going to continue to perform at a level wayyyyy below his norm? This isn't like Bosh kicking Boozer's ass. Boozer has a decorated history of bending over against the longer/athletic forwards in the league.
