  1. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 09:42 PM) Golden State. But that was early. I don't even consider that one bad. That came right after the Christmas day win against the Lakers. And it was on the road. Warriors are one of those teams that can give you fits when they're hitting their shots. I know you can say that about a lot of teams. But a lot of teams don't have shot-makers equal to Curry, Lee, Ellis and Wright on the same team.
  2. The Bulls just don't lose to teams they shouldn't. They don't have a "bad" loss all year. Gotta give 'em props.
  3. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 10:01 PM) That's irrelevant. TS% takes account of FTA vs FGA too. Not just the mades. And you have no idea whether the players takes a lot of shots at the rim or take long jump shots. Reggie Miller wasn't exactly MJ in terms of takin' fools off the dribble for dunks and layups. Neither are guys like Nash and Allen. And shame on me for forgetting about Chris Mullin. That boy could shoot.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) Allen is the best of all time. But Morrow is an absolute sniper. That he is. But give it some time before you start talking about the greatest shooters ever. I'm not about to put Kevin Durant in the greatest scorers company with MJ. And I totally forgot that Morrow is a GT alum. So that obviously explains his comment. lol. Still love ya, fathom
  5. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 09:18 PM) You should be suspended for not including Peja or Kerr or Reggie. FWIW, Morrow 2nd ALL TIME in 3 PT FG%. Hence me saying off the top of my head. And lmao@career 3pt percentage. Dude hasn't even played in three years worth of games yet. I'm not saying the guy can't shoot. But give me Reggie Miller or Ray Allen blindfolded over Anthony Morrow.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 09:16 PM) And which one of those shooters led the NBA in 3 point percentage their rookie year? Morrow's career 3 pt percentage is 45% Don't know and don't care to look.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 09:01 PM) One of the greatest shooters I've ever seen I demand you be suspended for excessive hyperbole. C'mon, fathom. Bird, Miller, Allen, Nash, Curry (Dell), Ellis (Dale), Rice. That's just off the top of my head. Morrow is not in that class. Not even close.
  8. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 06:42 PM) I think thats more of a wait and see as the Chinese Basketball Federation is saying that FIBA didnt handle it properly. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-w...rtin_nba_020212 I read the article. So the worst-case scenario for Martin is that he joins the Clippers later this month? Still a good pick-up for them. They've got nothing big-man wise after Griffin and Jordan.
  9. Damn, the Clippers just signed Kenyon Martin? That's a nice pick-up.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 05:07 PM) Would you rather play those games without your best player for about five games, and two starters for most of the season? Other than the Grizzlies game, have they missed Rose even a little in the games he's missed. The East is really, really, really bad after the top 5 teams.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) If having Juan Pierre invited to spring training gives you more hope going into the season, than that's your business. To each their own I guess. That definitely qualifies as b****ing just for the hell of it.
  12. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 03:53 PM) I hope that Hamilton can control his demons for himself and his family.. And at the risk of sounding like a selfish asshole, for us fans as well. Josh Hamilton is one of those guys that you'll stop whatever it is you're doing and watch him hit.
  13. For the I hate isolation basketball crowd - let me introduce you to the Denver Nuggets. Oh my goodness. Their depth has depth. They just run, pass, cut, and shoot the s*** out of you.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 02:26 PM) LeBron didn't just win his franchise their 1st ever NBA title. I'm sure the Mavs and their fans are OK right now, the team is 14-9 & leading their division. As long he is ready & in top shape by playoff time, no big deal. No, LeBron could've broken his leg and he'd be crucified if he came into the season all out of shape. Michael and Scottie (Scottie twice) competed in the Olympics after winning a title and didn't use that as an excuse to come into the next season out of shape. I love Dirk. One of the 15 best players the game has ever seen, IMO. But he gets no play here.
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 02:11 PM) J4l, Right but the reason is because he played in the Euro games. http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2012/...-championships/ Then he owes the Mavs, the fans, and the NBA an apology. Because he's been worse than Carlos Boozer. Imagine if this were LeBron.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 12:56 PM) There was also an article today about Noah saying he let his contract dollars effect his play. Not sure how that's relevant (and sad if true) to overall league play this year.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 12:55 PM) Isnt the reason Dirk isnt ready because he played for Germany in some Euro games over the summer? This was from about 10 days ago. There's a difference between nursing an injury and not being in shape.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 11:01 AM) A timely talk by Chuck... http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ga...ad-the-nba-is/1 Meh. I agree that there are some pretty bad teams, especially in the eastern conference right now. But to act as if the lockout has nothing to do with the league-wide drop in production and overall bad play is silly. Hell, look at Dirk Nowitzki. He's become the poster boy for not ready for season to start. Before this year, the league had been as entertaining as it had been since the early 90's. The last six or seven drafts prior to this year have been incredible. Scoring/pace had gone up considerably with the new rules that cater to guards/wings and the implementation of the zone defense, which in turn has put more emphasis on ball movement and 3-point shooting. Everything will be back to normal next year. The game is fine.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 08:04 AM) How many pitchers can you say that about? Pretty sure he meant his hitting prowess.
  20. QUOTE (daa84 @ Feb 1, 2012 -> 07:33 PM) Boozer with a horrid game thus far That's what he does. He fattens up on the cupcakes of the league. Legitimate teams? Shadow.
  21. QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 1, 2012 -> 04:58 PM) The front office isn't THAT conservative. Remember we are only a year and a half from the team selling off pieces so they could make a run at 2 max players (LeBron plus one) and after extending Rose and possibly Noah would've pushed them way into luxury tax territory. They failed, but they gave it the best effort they could've been reasonably expected to, and IIRC Forman has already looked into the possibility of getting Howard at least. I'm not giving the Bulls credit for that. Half the league was gearing up for the free agent class of 2010. This organization dropped the ball multiple times in regards to KG, Gasol and to a lesser degree Kobe. They severely overrated guys like Hinrich, Gordon and even Deng. The '07 Bulls with Gasol in place of Gordon or Deng get to the finals. I believe the Bulls would not want to part with the package necessary to get Howard, even if it was possible.
  22. Two wildcards is one of the dumber ideas in modern baseball history. I pray it doesn't happen.
  23. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 1, 2012 -> 10:20 AM) How many times are you going to change your argument? I didn't change anything. Melo went to college for one year. And he had no business going in the first place. He would've made a mockery of college hoops had he went 3 years.
  24. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 1, 2012 -> 10:17 AM) won his 3rd championship in a row? Look, even Kyyle, a certified J4L hater agrees with me.
