QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 08:10 PM) I concur. If Juan was any good, he'd be 3 for 2. He didn't say anything that was incorrect. Juan has had a nice 10 games. Not surprising. Even bad players will have a nice streak here and there when they play EVERY single day NO MATTER how poorly they're performing.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 06:42 PM) I think you missed my point. I was giving them props that their system was so good, they could trade away those two guys if they had to and not even flinch. Sometimes you have to give talent to get talent, it can't always be one-sided. Ahhhhh. Yes, I totally missed your point. My fault.

lol@Kalapse. Well, the mods/admins wanted a little more substance than "Juan Pierre sucks," and he's provided just that. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) Be a real interesting trade if it happened. Beachy is obviously unproven, but I've been impressed in the games I've watched. From Atlanta's side, this would be an amazing example of selling high on someone who wasn't considered a huge prospect. His peripheral stats are really good. No fluke here to this point. If not for the time spent on the DL, he'd be right there with his teammate as the favorites for the ROY.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 12:01 AM) and they traded away Feliz & Andrus And they got back at the time arguably the best two-way 1B in the game, who was all of 27. The trade was a slam dunk at the time. The fact that they couldn't extend him was what made it a loss overall. But like Ace said, when you're pumpin' out legitimate talent from your system at the rate the Braves do, you can afford to part with a light-hitting (though tremendously gifted defensively) SS and a closer. And Freddi Freeman continues to spray the ball all over the place. Another 3 hits including a 3-run homer. Do the Braves have the top three rookies in the NL at the moment?

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 05:22 PM) Magglio in 02, Frank in 03, Paulie and Frank in 04, Dye in 09, Paulie in 10. Well that would explain my dumbness. I had it in my head the final vote system started in '05.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 05:20 PM) Yeah, Paulie has lost it 2 times before. Wow, I suck. I don't remember at all.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 05:15 PM) I think it's actually like 3/5 or 6 edit: didn't mean to be downer. So glad for Paulie. Really? My memory blows. What White Sox were on the final ballot that didn't get in? I'm guessing Dye in '09 was one?

Well deserved. That's 3/3. Pods, AJ and now PK.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 06:20 PM) Anyone on Soxtalk > Greg Walker greg Walker > Wite This is undeniable fact

lol@Felix vs Steve. I love it. Am I the only one that still watches Saved by the Bell on TBS? That show been comin' on that station for the last 15 years it seems. Lark Voorhies was so fine. And I don't like black girls.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 05:29 PM) There are two scenarios that arise from that article: 1) The most likely, Bowman is an idiot or he is reporting whatever the team tells him too. 2) The Braves are the dumbest organization for even considering Pierre Are you insinuating that JP doesn't put the Braves in better position to match up with the likes of Halladay, Hamels, Lee, Oswalt, Gallardo, Greinke, Marcum, Lincecum, Cain, Sanchez? If so, then it's a good thing you don't get paid to speculate.
