QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 07:29 PM) I was just giving you a hard time Oh go ahead. I deserve it. I thought George was a superstar and he's not at all. Good player. But if he's your best player, you're not winning a title.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 06:35 PM) Not bad for being led by a less athletic Paul George. Hahaha. Whatever. Y'all wasn't sayin' nothin' in November/December when Paul George was arguably the best player in the league those months. I don't know what's happened and don't care. Considering the eventual western conference champion is going to have to go through hell just to get to the finals, I've never been surer of a Miami 3-peat. But at least y'all can reflect and smile on those beautiful regular season wins against Miami.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 05:50 PM) So yeah, the Pacers are down 30 to the Hawks at home in the first half. The wheels have completely come off for that team. And I'm officially labeling Evan Turner a bust. He sucks. This year's Heat might be the least deserving #1 seed in history. They just about literally tried to give the s*** to the Pacers and they wouldn't take it. Indiana is pulling a September '05 White Sox without the recovery.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 03:55 PM) The Rose less Bulls are 32-14 and J4L thinks the NBA is better than it has ever been. LMAO. The Jordanless Bulls went 55-27 in 1994. The NBA sucked. I don't really think that. But that's as lame as what you're implying.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 09:45 PM) I have serious doubt that the Raptors will lose a game again in the regular season. Their schedule is pretty easy the rest of the way. It really sucks that Indiana had to start struggling so badly that they lost their 3 game lead for the first seed. In case the Bulls do get the 4 seed, it would suck to play Miami in the second round. What's the difference between losing to Miami in the second round or third round? Either way they're gonna get smoked.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Apr 1, 2014 -> 09:01 PM) Hibbert is a valid argument. But it's hard to ignore the 7 RPG and that he only plays 30 MPG. He's the best interior defender in the game today, but his low minutes limit his impact, the his rebounding leaves a lot to be desired. One big difference between Hibbert and Noah is the latter can step out and guard the perimeter on occasions, Hibbert's lateral quickness extremely limited so he's a non factor in this area. Noah impacts the game in more areas while playing 5 more minutes a game. If you asked me two months ago, I would have said Hibbert hands down, but Hibbert and the Pacers D has fallen back to earth after such an amazing start. It's not hard to ignore at all when you consider how defense is evaluated in 2014. The days of raw blocks per game, steals per game and defensive rebounds per game are over. defensive rating and rim protection (for bigs) are what's vogue now. Otherwise Gasol never wins it last year. I agree with you when it comes to Hibberts minutes. He gets winded at times and is not every mobile. Still, Noah's 5 minutes per game is more than likely not enough to close the defensive gap between the two.

QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 1, 2014 -> 08:28 PM) I think some might argue it isn't necessarily part of defense, but it's hard for me to promote a center that averages less than 7 boards a game for DPOY Marc Gasol averaged 7.8 rpg last year and won. Hibbert is the #1 rim protector in the game for the #1 defense in the game. Not sure how he's not the DPOY.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Apr 1, 2014 -> 04:47 PM) It's almost the end of the season so I will post predictions for the regular season awards, just because several Bulls will have legit shot at the honors MVP: Durant (well deserved) ROY: MCW (It's not saying much) Sixth Man: Taj Gibson (would be awesome to see a defensive player win it) DPOY: Noah (George is the only other deserving candidate) COY: Dwane Casey (Hornacek and Thibs also in the mix) All NBA First Team: Noah Durant Lebron Harden Paul All NBA Second Team: Cousins Love Griffin Dragic Curry All NBA Third Team: Howard Davis George Derozan (will probably be Wade) Wall Defensive First Team: Noah Davis George Butler Paul Defensive Second Team: Jordan Ibaka Lebron (Travesty if he was first team and not George) Henderson Conley Feel free to disagree Down with most of this sans Noah for DPOY and ALL D 1st team at C. Hibbert has been the most dominant defensive player in the league this year and the numbers back that up. Noah is a worthy runner-up, though.

Paul George is garbage and embarrassing. There's no way this guy is ready to take down LeBron. It's Durant or nothing.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 29, 2014 -> 11:42 AM) I'm more excited for baseball this year than I've been in a while. This is going to be a fun season. Abreu/Garcia is enough to keep me interested even if the team sucks. Both those guys should be studs.

So glad I ignored everything spring training from jump. No tv, radio, newspaper, internet, etc. Made the s*** go so much faster. So ready for Monday.

Does Trout have any other endorsements besides subway? We should see him in as many commercials/ads that would rival LeBron. Kid is that good.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 26, 2014 -> 05:49 AM) According to you the Bulls who are one of the top seeds in the East, play at least 82 meaningless games a year. I don't know what else you need to show the NBA currently sucks. Congratulations. I've read this ten times and still don't get it. This current NBA is the best NBA we've ever seen and OCFs won't accept it.

Dayumm. A Tsunami takes place and I'm not part of it. Anyway, only OCFs think more college=better NBA. GTFO. College basketball is pathetic and the coaches try to make it all about them. #COLLEGEBASKETBALLSUCKS!!!

Paul George was allegedly catfished by a gay man. http://blacksportsonline.com/home/2014/03/...ing-naked-pics/ Between this and getting a random stripper pregnant the verdict is now in: you, Paul George, are a f***ing idiot.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Mar 22, 2014 -> 11:18 AM) Your 2013-14 NBA MVP. Saying that KD is the best player today doesn't sound so crazy anymore. The last 40 games Durant is averaging 35-8-6 on 50/40/86 shooting. That's insane. He's having a GOAT peak season to this point.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 08:25 PM) There are 5 teams with worse records than the Lakers. Why do you think they get one of those guys? You think the lottery is rigged? The Bucks/Sixers will obviously finish with the two worst records. After that it's a toss-up. Lakers announcing Kobe's not coming back says to me they don't want to take any chances of winning meaningless games in a lost season.

NBA Thread 2013-2014
None of this crap will matter in 2-3 years. I'll tell you two guys that will matter: Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins. The Sixers and Lakers will each get one. They're tanking and proud of it. Bulls had their chance but they want to win! #chicagotough

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 12, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) LOL Brooklyn just beat the heat in an exciting game and started celebrating. Losers. Don't they know it means nothing. Brooklyn didn't live through Michael Jordan and a 6 title dynasty. Bulls fans should know better. They're just dumb now aka bandwagon blackhawks fans.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 06:30 PM) Yeah just not loose enough. Relax bro! People can understand that winning in the regular season is different than beating the Heat in the playoffs while still enjoying a fun game. I'm looser than Lohan. I'm sick of try-hard. We had try-hard from '05 to '07 with Hinrich-Deng-Gordon-Nocioni and we're at try-hard now.
