Jose Contreras
The Yanks are just impatient. They're gonna regret giving up on this guy. Check out these numbers from last September. Wins=3 Losses=0 Innings pitched=35.2 ERA= 1.51 Strike outs=35 Whip= 0.95 Batting average against= 1.51

Brando=Reesdi He had me fooled until he started jockin the Cubs.

Is Juan Uribe Retarded?
Uribe made a stupid play. Nobody can deny that. But i've been dissapointed in his play long before that. Rex was right "God damn you Rex". While we were all celebrating Uribe when he was on fire. Rex was the only one who said that he would come back down to earth. Damn you Rex.

Loaiza at today's Yankees Game
He could shave his legs and his ass. He's still gonna get rocked.

Notice no response after I call him out? lol.

Trade deadline
lol. Wait a 2nd. I know who this is. This has got to be Brando. Nobody on a White Sox board jocks the Cubs the way you do. Do you want me to pull up some old threads of you saying the Cubs had the division on LOCK? This was like 2 months ago. And here you are again, except this time it's the Cubs have the wc on lock. lol

Cubs-Phils
f***, Cubs win. Not having a healthy Billy Wager killed them this series. It throws off their entire bullpen. It also forced Bowa to go a lil bit longer with his starters than i'm sure he wanted to.

That scary unstoppable talent is 10 games out of 1st place. They've had all their big guns back "Prior, Wood, Sosa" and still have played inconsistent baseball. I wouldn't call the wc competition weak. The Dodgers and Marlins have improved. The Braves are still the Braves. The Padres and Giants will be there to the end. It's gonna be a dog fight for that wildcard.

Aaron Rowand
Very good observation. I totally agree. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We've got enough holes as it is.

Contreras or Bust
Cool, that shouldn't be too hard to correct. I really believe the Yanks wanted him out because of his horrible numbers against the Red Sox. Which is kinda stupid. But i'm glad we've got him.

LETS GO BOSOX
The Twins play with no fear. They're mentally tough. They're never tight. They never get too down on themselves. These are qualites we haven't had since 2000.
-
Contreras or Bust
The flaw they're talking about is him tipping his pitches, right?
-
Willie's wasted speed.
I see what Molto is trying to say. But I have to agree with this post. Willie needs to get it goin. If he was gettin the job done, his playing time wouldn't be an issue. And I totally agree with him wasting his speed. Even when he was hitting over .300, I didn't feel he was being as agressive on the basepaths as he should.

Cubs-Phils
Make that 3 outs. Just like a Philadelphia team to CHOKE.
-
Ben Davis
I'm not gonna get excited about Davis. I give him serious props for the big 3 run hr today. BUT, it's gonna take a lot then that before I start thinking he can be a productive player.

Victor Zambrano and Scott Schoeneweis
I would've loved Zambrano.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
Garcia was HUGE. A 4 gm sweep at the hands of the Tigers would've been too much to overcome for this team. Now they've got something positive to take into their next series. I haven't been so relieved over a White Sox win in a while. I hope we can put something solid together.

Contreras or Bust
I think Contreras will do quite well. Here's to 7 innings of 3 runs or less
- LETS GO BOSOX

Cubs-Phils
No 300th win for Maddux. 3-2 Phils in the 7th.

Trade deadline
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stor...yson&id=1850117 I totally agree with him on the Marlins. 1. Marlins It may have been viewed as some kind of fluke when the Marlins made all the right moves this time last summer and turned them into a World Series parade. But after their flurry of eye-popping moves this time around, it's now clearer than ever: Larry Beinfest is one of the best general managers in baseball. "All he traded was his fifth starter (Brad Penny), a platoon guy (Hee Seop Choi), a bench player (Abraham Nunez) and two minor leaguers (Bill Murphy and Travis Chick)," said one NL front-office man. "And he got the best setup man in the league (Guillermo Mota), one of the best catchers in the league (Paul Lo Duca), a decent fifth starter (Ismael Valdez), a starting right fielder (Juan Encarnacion) and a useful arm (Rudy Seanez). And he got the Dodgers to pay them to take their best player (Lo Duca). How 'bout that?" "I didn't know Larry too well when he got that job," said another NL executive. "But that guy does some tremendous things. He's a very creative guy." The Marlins didn't do the standard we'll-trade-you-some-prospects-for-a-rent-a-player kind of deals. And in the end, that's why they succeeded while others grumbled about the state of the market. They thought outside the box, traded players they didn't have to trade and came away filling every hole they had. Nobody did it better.

Pitching Statistics for Contreras
Exactly. They wanted Garcia and Unit. They couldn't get them though. That makes me feel pretty good.

HOLY FUCK! BMac K's 16
Thank god for the minor leagues. They somehow take my mind off how poorly the Big club is doing. B-mac was breathtaking I see. I was just as impressed with the ZERO walks as I was with the 16 so's.
