  1. Jericho, The Event, Surface (I could probably go on) There are a lot of deaths in the first season or two of shows.
  2. Greg, Maybe youd have more context on my complaints if; 1) you read it from when Ohman was put in the game and 2) you actually watched the game. Im usually not that hard on players/managers (there is almost 10 years of track record you can look up), but Ozzie is not a good manager. And ive been really patient hoping that hed learn the more he managed.
  3. Big win. I really thought this team could turn it around up until the Yankees decimated them, after that I thought they would free fall. Strange how things work.
  4. Only 22 more games to reach my 27 game streak prediction!
  5. I dont even have words for how Ozzie is using the bullpen at the moment. Its working because Sale and Santos are ridiculously talented, but ugh.
  6. Well Ozzie wanted Sale to have Wieters bat righty then get Orioles to ph so that Santos would face a righty. Okay nm, he didnt put in Santos. No clue.
  7. Oh I forgot, Ozzie some times wants to use Sale in the 9th so thats why he had to use Ohman earlier. Santos has been one of the most dominant closers and we treat him with bigger kid gloves than Will Oham, wtf.
  8. You cant go from one extreme to another. There are at least 100 good situations (if not up to 300) to use Ohman. But not today, because the Sox are on their first real winning streak and things are starting to trend up. While you are on this streak you have to use your best if they are available. There are going to be tie games when a lefty is up no one on, there are going to be games where we are down a run, games where we are far ahead. But today the Sox were up 1 run and it seemed to be slipping away. You (imo) have to go to your best and let the chips fall where they may. Probably would have let Sale go 1 1/3 today and potentially give him tomorrow off if hes not really needed.
  9. The front of your bullpen has to get you some outs, of course. But if you are at 6 2/3 and you are going to bring in your best set up man in the 8th anyways, who has only pitched 2 innings in the last week and who used to be a starter, you let him go 1 and a 1/3 and call it a day. Due to the Sox slow start they have absolutely no margin for error. They just cant have the risk of that run scoring, because that may have been the last threat the Orioles have. Itd be one thing if it was the start of the 6th (no outs) or earlier. I just really think Ozzie is clueless when it comes to the pen, maybe one of the worst ive ever seen. Balta, They did use Ohman, but there is no rationale for not using Sale. The arguments that were presented was that Sale has been used to much, but the facts are that Sale was used least through today. Ohman has him by a full inning (in the last week). Just shows that Ozzie really has no idea whats going on.
  10. That doesnt make any sense. The complaint was that Sale/Thornton have been overused. The facts are as follows: Last 7 days. and vs lhb Sale 2.1 ip, .220 ba .588 Ohman 3.2 ip (not counting today), .225 ba 610 ops Thornton 3 ip, .317 740 So of the choices, Sale has the best stats against lefties and has been used the least. You have 4 outs to get to Santos and Sale has only pitched 2 innings in the last week. You have to bring in your best there. I could understand if the choice had been Ohman over Thornton, but Sale should have been used there.
  11. Im not sure how you could even come close to predicting how I would use a bullpen. But I can guarantee that in a situation where the tie run is on 3rd and 1 batter to get that im putting in my best lefty. Not sure that 1/3 of an inning is going to put anyone on the DL, especially because Sale has only pitched 2 innings in the last 7 days.
  12. Thanks for proving me wrong ohman!
  13. Unless Sale or Thornton are dead id prefer them pitching here.
  14. I dont think its anything like Brett Farve because Simpsons never went off the air and then returned. You may not like their product anymore, but some of the last 10 years have been amazing. Im 99% sure Homer going to India is in there and a bunch of other really good episodes. Its just a numbers game if you make 300+ episodes you are going to have some bad ones.
  15. That 90's Show, Ralph for Mayor, and others have all been good and thats just the last 2-3 seasons. There have been plenty of great episodes in the last 10. I think the Simpson's demise has been overrated, some episodes are good, some not so much.
  16. Well this is just all crazy speculation at the moment, I thought that in terms of numbers the DJIA would hit at lowest 10k and then people would start to realize that it doesnt make sense.
  17. Ha was going to buy Nike if it hit 77, that wont be happening now.
  18. Its hard because you have different categories (longevity, ability to rewatch, etc). Based on this I have 3 series which I believe are close. Seinfeld, Simpsons, South Park
  19. Something is definitely different with Rios.

Because Sea Shepard has a fraction of the funding of the Japanese fleet. Its amazing they have 3 ships.

Nice work Stewart, hopefully he continues to work on his control because he has a solid arsenal (2 effective fastballs can be a huge advantage). Lets hope he makes the decision hard on Ozzie of who is going to the pen.
  22. Its a nice feeling when the young guy you trade for steps up in his first start.
  23. All we can do is hope, he looked better tonight. He also threw the bat in anger on his final ab, think thats the first time Ive seen him show some emotion. Maybe hes realizing that hes career is slipping away, who knows but a good Alex Rios would be a miracle for the Sox.
  24. lol I was about to post that sometimes id rather have Lilli start than Dunn at 1b.
  25. He got a favorable count and hit the ball hard. What else is he supposed to do?He could have easily popped up as hes done on the same slow pitch what seems like hundreds of times.
