  1. I believe my screen name speaks for itself. Robin had a very Buehrle-esque attitude and personality. One of the endless reasons why he will be my favorite player to ever wear a Sox uni. But MB is the guy right now. Ron Kittle is another one, too. Also loved Bo and Harold and, of course, Ozzie.
  2. FWIW, Baseball Tonight mentioned that if he keeps up his hot-hitting, he'll be an All-Star. Which leads to think...what other catcher in the AL is there (besides Pudge) that deserves it more? Mauer? Varitek? Lopez? I know the catching pool in the AL seems crowded this year. But after what he's accomplished, he should at least be considered. JMO.
  3. :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs Cubs Fans: :finger :finger :finger
  4. It'll most likely be Timo. I think the organization is too high on Gload. Plus, he's a quality backup at 1B. Plus, Gload, Willie & Carl are both LH off the bench. With that, buy some luggage Timo.
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 18, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) If Timo can get into his head, the idea of Pods on the bases must keep him up nights. If Timo is on base, that means he's playing. I don't like that. I'd much rather have Ozuna or Willie mess with his head.
  6. Perfect timing for Dye and Konerko to start hitting. Right before the Schlubs series. Let's hope they are hot and Pods and Gooch mess with the heads of all Cubbie pitchers. It will be a nice weekend if so. A well deserved off day tomorrow. MB, AJ and the whole team this one's one me.
  7. Now let's go into the Deadly Confines and make those stupid ass Cub Fans cry in their beer!!
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 18, 2005 -> 02:18 PM) Paulie is 3 for 4 today, Dye has 3 doubles. Each of them has raised their batting average 30 points. The world is ending tonight. Which means they'll go a combined 2 for 24 vs. the Cubs.
  9. Cliff has been so money this year. It's amazing how good he's been.
  10. I say Politte works the rest of the inning. Then it's Gong Time.
  11. I say let him go for the shutout. If he gets into trouble, yank him.
  12. QUOTE(longshot7 @ May 18, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) what happened to Pods? Groundout.
  13. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2005 -> 11:34 AM) The offday tommorrow is the reason for that... plus we have that long roadtrip we have to go on this weekend I figured as much. Maybe 4 games in a row with a homer?
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 18, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) Andres Torres, CF Michael Young, SS Mark Teixeira, 1B Hank Blalock, 3B Alfonso Soriano, 2B Kevin Mench, LF Richard Hidalgo, RF Chad Allen, DH Rod Barajas, C Scott Podsednik, LF Tadahito Iguchi, 2B Aaron Rowand, CF Paul Konerko, 1B A.J. Pierzynski, C Jermaine Dye, RF Carl Everett, DH Juan Uribe, SS Pablo Ozuna, 3B Interesting that Carl's all the way down to 7th. I would think Dye would be down there. Also, no Widger. But with AJ being so hot and the off day tomorrow, I understand. At least it's not a crazy ass day game lineup and.... NO TIMO!!
  15. Another reason to love Buehrle. Don't know if this really fits in this thread, though.
  16. The wife's meeting me for lunch at 1. With MB pitching, I'll miss the entire game. Let's go into the Urinal on a high note.
  17. On rare occasions, this douchebag does have some good articles. This is one of them.
  18. He needs 1/3 of an inning more to tie Ken Brett for consecutive scoreless innings to start a season since 1969. Brett did it in '76. Herme/ie/y was really close tonight. I give him a few more outings.
  19. Not THE John Whitehead!! Here's to you, Jon!
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 17, 2005 -> 12:46 PM) 8-game winning streak, then 3-game winning streak, then 8-game winning streak, then 2-game losing streak, then 3-game winning streak, then 3-games losing streak. Whatever.
