  1. looks like we are having issues scoring runs again. Also, another no name a$$hole killing us. Never heard of Canzler until last night.
  2. regular lineup tonight: De Aza cf Youkilis 3b Dunn 1b Konerko dh Rios rf Pierzynski c Viciedo lf Ramirez ss Beckham 2b Peavy p
  3. I don't trust Liriano at all. Please have Axelrod on standby.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 10:40 PM) Sweep the Twins, beat Detroit, and start the KC series with a win. Win the next four, and the Sox should be able to have a 3 game lead with 15 left. If that happens, they'll beat three different teams on three different days in three different stadiums. Last time that happened, was end of the 2008 season for Sox.

    QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 07:55 PM) Jack McDowell is probably the closest thing to a "big game" pitcher the Sox have had since I have watched them. I can probably choose anyone from the rotation in '05. Contreras or Sweaty Freddy come to mind.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 11:42 PM) So Ventura said he didn't use Veal in the 7th to face Fielder because he felt it was too early and that Prince had seen Veal too much this series. I guess he had no problem allowing Cabrera to face Omogrosso for the second time in this series? There's no reason to save Veal for later in a game if you still have Thornton lurking as well. to make matters worse, Veal faced Fielder in the 9th and retired him.
  7. I'm glad the bears packers are on. I'll just watch this one on At Bat 12 and hopefully, be pleasantly surprised.

    I'm glad we finally play the Mets. The only team's ballpark we haven't been to. Also, I might head up to Milwaukee for the final spring training games. I may also go to Philly series.
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 03:09 PM) Jackson cf Raburn lf Fatty #1 3b Fatty #2 1b Young dh Peralta ss Garcia rf Infante 2b Laird c I hate Ryan Raburn.

    scorebig.com I got 2 tix for last night's game a few weeks ago. Sec 143 for only $60 total.
  11. I'll be up north drinking around a campfire, instead of at home drinking my sorrows away.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 30, 2012 -> 10:55 AM) So if Axe is sent back down, Humber/Santiago makes Floyd's next start? I read that he'll be back on Monday, after rosters expand.
  13. I've been here since it was toddler. Happy Anniversary!
  14. So I guess Axelrod comes back. Activate DeAza, Hudson, Septimo, Floyd and Flowers. There's your roster for expanded rosters. Maybe Morel and another pitcher (Omogrosso, Marinez)
  15. It would have been nice if there was an Wild Card back then.
  16. I still hate the A's from back when they were our division rivals. I still find the team annoying. Then I hate the Tigers, Royals, Yankees, Red Sox and Cubs. In that order.
