    Joey Cora

The Nationals have reportedly interviewed Joey for their managerial position.
  2. Go A's. Not because they're Frank's team, but because I'd rather they win over the Tigers. I could care less if Frank is on the team or not.
  3. Jon Miller and Joe Morgan are so Pro-Yankees during this broadcast it makes me sick. Go Tigers!!
  4. Let's see the A's won.... D'Angelo Jimenez, Frank Thomas & Esteban Loaiza If the Tigers win.... Magglio Ordonez And if the Mets win... Jose Valentin and, of course, the bench coach, Jerry Manuel Will all be in the LCS and they were all members of the 2003 White Sox.
  5. Let's see horrible % with RISP, a bunch of solo HRs, bullpen collapsing.... Are you the A's played the Sox and not the Twins? Anyway, can't say I didn't love watching that Twins dugout on TV at the end of the game.
  6. Good for you Hurt. I may have some issues with you, but after beating the Twins, you're okay in my book.
  7. Sweeney continues to impress. Fields not so much.
  8. That's one F'ed up lineup. At least Mack is DH'ing. One more to 90. Yippee.
  9. I have a lot of reasons to root for certain teams. Except for the Sox, I like parity in baseball where different teams win it. That being said, I'll be rooting for Detroit. They haven't done jack in awhile, and I have family in the *nice* suburbs of Detroit. I don't want the Yankees to win anything because they're the Yankees and I hate the Twins. A's v. Tigers in ALCS In the NL, I could care less really. Biggio getting a ring would be nice. Rowand getting a second would be nice, too. If I had to choose, I guess SD v. NY 1984 WS rematch: Padres v. Tigers.
  10. Tigers A's Sticking an icepick in my eye Slamming my fingers in a door Banging my head against a concrete wall Twins Yankees NL: Mets Phillies (Go AROW)
  11. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 21, 2006 -> 09:48 PM) Tonights outing was the clincher. Dont trade Javy. So who goes then? Buehrle? Contreras?
  12. [quote name=vandy125' date='Sep 22, 2006 -> 07:36 AM' post='1294796' I remember watching the August 8 game against the Yankees. We were down by 1 in the bottom of the ninth when Konerko came up and tied the game against Rivera. We then went on to win the game.

  14. I'd rather have Sweeney in there than Mack. Maybe Anderson is still hurt from the HBP from last night. As for Jon, he needs to win all of his starts for a chance at 20. Going to be tough for him.
  15. Too bad that's the lineup... Should have put people out there who actually would want to play: Owens LF Sweeney RF Dye DH Fields 3B Gload 1B Stewart C Cintron 2B Anderson CF Ozuna SS Why the hell not? Nothing else to play for.

    Buehrle

I still like Buehrle. This COULD be an off year for him. I'd take the risk and keep him.
  17. Freddy Garcia will almost pitch a perfect game against the Angels and then the White Sox will win 3 of the final 13 games, with the season ending mercilessly.
  18. Gee, now we have a chance.......cough* cough *
  19. QUOTE(chisox72 @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) And Scotty is up to help speed it along..... Hopefully, this will be the last homestand that Scott Podsednik wears a White Sox uniform.
  20. My prediction: We will not get a runner to second base the rest of the game.
  21. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) Hit a homerun Jim. It'd be nice for you to make an appearance...We haven't seen you since July. I think he's still in Pittsburgh
  22. Don't worry. It's only the 1st inning. Buehrle will wet the bed again next inning.
  23. Tigers v. The Walking Dead It would be really nice if this actually played like they cared.
  24. So sad. Who cares what uniform he wears. You never want to hear this stuff. Prayer go out to him and his family.
