  1. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 17, 2011 -> 11:44 AM) A lot of my police friends on FB are posting this and complaining about the POTUS. Rightfully so IMO. http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/waterc...1#disqus_thread President Obama left the White House this morning a little after 9:30 am. He wasn’t on his way to the Capitol building, where grieving friends and families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty hold a yearly commemorative service. Though he was invited to recognize the fallen and offer condolences by speaking at the annual Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, he instead spent this fine Sunday playing a round of golf with aide Ben Finkenbinder, White House trip director Marvin Nicholson and U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk. Every president deserves down time. But after offending police earlier this week by hosting a rapper at the White House whose corpus includes a song lauding a convicted cop-killer, blowing off their service in order to golf seems tone-deaf, if not outright callous. Badly done, Mr. President. i'll have to find the article but i swear i read somewhere that in Obama's first two or three years in office he played more golf than Bush did in eight. of course the Dems loved to make it seem like Bush was all over the links. then again.....some liberals love to bash Bush for actually taking a few minutes in that classroom to gather the facts on 9/11 but yet Obama took 16 hours before making the call to go in for Osama???? Haven't heard too much griping over that..........

I'm sure i'm one of the few but I find ABC'S Happy Endings mildly amusing. I also think The Middle is underrated

Damn! Justified just gets better and better every week. (ok...those couple episodes with Winona taking the money wasn't the best) hard to believe that next week is it's season finale.
  5. All i read was something about a holiday poll and thought for sure this was a Festivus thread...haha
  6. I'm sure this will eventually turn into a Fire Greg Walker/ Don't fire Greg Walker discussion with the usual debate about how much he's really responsible for the Sox annual April batting woes. I'm not sure if making a change would help but i got to admit it seems like every year the Sox offense sucks in April.

Been watching Body of Proof on ABC. Not a bad show and boy even at 55 Dana Delany is a good looking woman.

I can't believe I've let myself get sucked into USA's/WWE's Tough Enough. Maybe i just like watching Steve Austin and Bill DeMott yell at people. Trish Stratus is on there but i just can't get used to her being a brunette. Other random tv note.....Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe drew some decent ratings.....and you got to see the orgin of 'Chuck Finley' lol

Just saw a ad on USA network for Burn Notice--The fall of Sam Axe. focusing on Sam in South America. April 17th. this could be interesting.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 19, 2011 -> 11:48 AM) Very likely alcohol played a part in that Whiskey or any other alcohol played no part in that conversation
  11. Under what circumstances does my wife think i would possibly enjoy going to a karaoke bar???? In the 20 plus years we've known each other i've never given any indication that karaoke is something i'd like to do or like to listen to others do
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 10:18 AM) Give me a break. Just look at Arrested Development as a perfect example. Knowing that show was on Fox, it's fate does make a bit of sense.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 10:27 AM) Nice write up of yesterday's Justified. For second season in a row....that show is getting better every week. Justified and Fringe are the two shows I really look forward to every week.

FWIW....Ebert gives Battle-Los Angeles a whopping half-star. After getting sucked into wasting time and money with Skyline i was really hoping this would be good. I don't usually listen to critics but usually Ebert and i have the same taste in movies if not for the same reasons.
