QUOTE (Reddy @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 09:19 PM) right and what are the stats that like 70% of men and 50% of women have cheated? nice high horse. but ok... i'm still trying to wrap my mind around it all. there's the part of my that is ashamed, the part of me that says if Elizabeth has forgiven him we should too, the part of me that says that it doesn't change his politics and the part of me that says why the hell, when there's an invasion going on, are we worried about a private citizen's love life and making it front page news? what has the media turned into? it's truly just pathetic and dispicable. The Edwards' had dealt with this privately and they deserved for it to REMAIN PRIVATE. Who gets off making them now have to go through this hell all over again and on an even worse scale. Imagine being one of his kids right now. Imagine being Elizabeth right now. Imagine how f***ing hard it must be to have this all over the front f***ing page when you're NOT EVEN RUNNING OR IN OFFICE. it just pisses me off. And then there's the part that says look at JFK, McCain himself, Gingrich, Clinton. This s*** aint new people. mistakes happen, WE'VE ALL MADE THEM. and honestly, it really sucks now for me too because i've been getting texts left and right, people like you guys waiting to hear what i'm gonna say blah blah blah. EVERYONE that believed in the guy just had a hero destroyed by a money-hungry media. Who gives a s*** if he had an affair? who gives a s*** if George Washington was gay? who gives a s*** about ANY of the stuff that the media these days tries to rip apart? What's the GOD DAMNED POINT in doing this stuff? who are you helping? i think tabloid writers deserve one of the deepest levels of hell for ruining people's lives. god bless america. how bout god f*** america - although he doesn't have to cuz we're doing it to ourselves. wow... that rant got a bit vicious at the end. sorry folks if i offend. Remember when the Democrats went apes*** over Larry Craig? It wasn’t the fact that he may have asked for gay sex or was gay, it was the hypocrisy, remember? Now think back to ALL THE F--KING LECTURES from Elizabeth and John Edwards about morality, family, trust, etc. John Edwards dragged his cancer stricken wife out in front of the media and talked about how he was a good man standing behind her in her time of need. Well....turns out he was screwing someone on the side at that time. Sorry if you don't feel that it is newsworthy but some people think it is. This story was broke by a tabloid then picked up by a few right-wing blogs then Fox News got involved. Only after that did the MSM pick it up. Honestly....i'm sure in about 3 or 4 months a Republican will f--k up in one way or another and it will be "A-ha" politics all over again. It turns from "what the Rep/Dems can do for you " into "See..we aren't as bad as the other guys" It sucks all around

I think that AB has a very manly looking jawline and having her hair wet down and back brings that feature out more. -

I'm sure the flaming will start after this but over the weekend i finally broke out of my Sam Adams routine and with a friends urging I ordered a Guinness. I was very disappointed. considering how many times i heard people rave about it...maybe i expected too much. I really wish i had my money back.

I'm not sure of the numbers but i think over the last couple of years the Sox after the All-Star break have been pretty bad. I really don't want to see that trend continue but so far it looks like it will. -
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 06:58 AM) Go home and rethink your life. But yeah, that song is brutal. actually i like that song. For me...the reason i like it is that unlike every other 'pop'ular song out there it's not featuring any rappers. You listen to some stations and i swear every other song is "Chris Brown featuring T-pain..or Ludacris featuring Akon. Heck...it seems like even when you have a decent pop song...they make an effort to cram a rap in it. A while back Christina Aguleria had a song out that i thought was pretty good. After a couple months i heard a version with a rap crammed in the middle. It didn't fit...and sounded terrible. I think these record companies actually shoot themselves in the foot somtimes with crap like that.

I've been unemployed for about three weeks now and i have to say that Drew Carey sucks as host of "The Price is Right". He seems to be very uninterested in the job and it's a shame to see him reduced to that job (though i know he's getting paid a boatload so i shouldn't feel that sorry for him).

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 07:23 PM) Route 57 near evansville or Route 13 through Carterville? you know making the trip from the south burbs (matteson) to Carbondale (down 57) for years, i never managed to get a speeding ticket. One time..we traveled from the US30/I57 intersection to the 13/57 intersection in under 4 hours. It was something like 3 hours and 40 minutes. Don't know about anyone else but for us it was a record. i hardly ever saw cops on 57 back in the day ('87-'97)

A man is behind bars in Hamilton County, accused of trying to set a woman's van on fire after she fell asleep during sex. 46-year-old Gregory Smallwood is charged with attempted arson and aggravated menacing. According to court records, the alleged victim says Smallwood woke her up about 4:00 am on June 30th. She said he became angry after she fell asleep twice and doused her van with lighter fluid and threatened to do the same to her. Smallwood has been ordered to stay away from the woman. Link with a name like that....it's no surprise she fell asleep during sex.......

Not sure this quite fits the subject here but i found this last night.....it's a play and in Chicago so i figured it's close enough The Chicago, Illinois production of hit musical JERSEY BOYS has been slapped with a smoking ban - following a complaint from an irate theatre-goer. The play, which focuses on the rise to fame of 1960s pop group the Four Seasons, sees several characters light up on stage throughout the story. But now the state's Public Health Department has cracked down on actors smoking on stage - and banned the production from featuring cigarettes. Bosses behind the show have reacted angrily to the order, insisting it is detrimental to the reality of the play. Bernard Stone, a member of Chicago's city council, was also disappointed by the news. He says, "When you take it out of the production, you're changing history. If you want to be true to the times, you'll allow them to smoke on stage. To do otherwise is like blue laws in the Puritan times. That's what life was like then. You're denying those times existed." Jersey Boys

found this online today. She's nice to look at but i was never a big fan of her talent. The writers have ther work cut out for them... "Former Friends actress Courteney Cox has reportedly signed up to appear in the next season of hit TV series Scrubs. Cox signed up to appear in three episodes of the medical comedy drama series following the announcement that her own show Dirt had been canceled by network bosses at FX. According to Entertainment Weekly, Cox will become Sacred Heart's new Chief of Medicine and her character will "ruffle feathers".

Two boys were punished this week for refusing to kneel on prayer mats and worship Allah during a class demonstration on Islam, the Daily Mail reported. Irate parents said a religious education teacher at the Alsager High School in England told students to wear Muslim headgear during a lesson on Tuesday. "But if Muslims were asked to go to church on Sunday and take Holy Communion, there would be war," the grandfather of one of the students said. The two boys belong to a class that includes 11- to 12-year-olds, and after their refusal to participate they were given detention, the story says. Another parent, Karen Williams, told the Mail: "Not only was it forced upon them, my daughter was told off for not doing it right. They'd never done it before and they were supposed to do it in another language." Deputy Headmaster Keith Plant said the teacher has given her version of the incident but he declined to elaborate. According to a statement from the Cheshire County Council on behalf of the school: "Educating children in the beliefs of different faith is part of the diversity curriculum on the basis that knowledge is essential to understanding. "We accept that such teaching is to be conducted with some sense of sensitivity." link

PLANTATION, Fla. -- The family of one of the men who was shot by a retired United States Marine while they attempted to rob a Subway sandwich shop said the customer shouldn't have pulled the trigger. According to Plantation police, two armed men barged into the Subway at 1949 Pine Island Road shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, demanding money from the employee behind the counter. When they tried to force John Lovell into the bathroom, he pulled out a gun and shot both men, police said. Donicio Arrindell, 22, was shot in the head and later died at the hospital. Fredrick Gadson, 21, was shot in the chest and ran from the Subway, but police found him in hiding in some bushes on the property of a nearby BankAtlantic. Lovell, 71, was the lone customer at the time. Police said he had a concealed weapons permit. Gadson's grandparents told Local 10 on Thursday that Lovell was wrong for pulling the trigger. "He should not have taken the law in his hands," said Rosa Jones, Gadson's grandmother. Her husband, Ivory Jones, also condemned the media for its portrayal of Lovell's actions. "I don't condone what they did, (but) I definitely don't condone the news people making him out to seem like they're making a hero out of this man because he shot somebody down," he said. But Lovell's neighbor said he made the right decision. "He did the right thing," said Wendi Hill. "I mean, I was glad that it was them that got shot and not him." Police said Lovell, a retired Marine, wouldn't be charged. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Um...Ivory....the man IS a hero. He saved his own life and the life of the Subway worker. Link to article
