Nick Bollea update..... Pinellas County, Florida - Right now Nick Bollea is being held in the medical unit of the Pinellas County Jail. Officials say this has nothing to do with his celebrity status, they are holding him there because he is the only juvenile in the jail. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says they put Nick Bollea into the medical unit when he was booked and will hold him there until they can determine his classification. Right now he is the only convicted juvenile in the jail, the other 56 juveniles have not been convicted yet and are awaiting trial.

well...i guess Nick Hogan was sentenced today.....here's the story...was it too little????? Discuss... Nick Hogan was in court today to and pled no contest to felony reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. TMZ.com was streaming live footage from the courtroom all afternoon. Several national television stations were also showing live courtroom footage, including MSNBC and CNN. Many people took the stand to speak to the court, including the family of victim John Graziano, Hulk, Linda, Brooke, Nick and the laywers from both sides. The Grazianos absolutely buried Nick while Nick's family and lawyers went on and on about how close John was to their family and what a great guy he is. In the end, Judge Philip Federico ruled that Nick will serve 8 months in Pinellas County Jail. He'll also have 5 years of probation, 500 hours of community service and his license is suspended for 3 years.

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 9, 2008 -> 04:36 PM) A couple of things that tick me off. First off the show is great. How did smokey not kill the mercinaries? I still am not into that outcome although I am getting over it. The black guy pushing the wheel chair appeared to be working for Dharma but I got the impression last night that he contradicted his previous role in his conversation with Locke. Claire? I am thinking she is still alive and missing and that is why Aaron leaves the island with Kate and now Jack wants to go back. I think the cabin allows a person to kind of have visions of a sort. Ben may have lost this ability to "see thing" and Locke may now have it. The Locke flashback was confusing as hell as I was not certain why it took so long for him to get to the island. Why does the Rambo dude let Desmond and Sayid just hang around? Desmond can get off the island as he is not an Oceanic survivor, hence not an Ocanic 6 but yet an island survivor. I think the black guy with Locke (that we've previously seen with Naomi) actually works for Widmore not Dharma. Maybe they know that in the future John will be useful to them on the island. That's why he encouraged the 'Walk-about' idea. I think Rambo is too focused on his job to worry much about Sayid and Desmond at this point....though i'm curious as to what he had strapped to his arm last night. Could it be something to help him find Jacob's cabin????? I'm still unsure about Claire being dead or not. They seem to be dropping alot of hints that she is dead....maybe they aren't too sure either. Smokey probably did kill a few of the mercenaries....injured a few as well...we just didn't see the dead ones. Overall it was an interesting episode considering that Alpert has been watching Locke since he was born...and what was up with that test last night??? i will have to rewatch it tonight when i'm not so distracted.

Mully and Handley are talking about this now on the Score. Couple of interesting point they brought up....first was that about 30 reporters saw the display but only 6 chose to write about it. Apparently not everyone thought it was such a big deal. 2nd point they made was that in the press box there is so much bad language, and comments that the display in the locker room was almost tame by comparison but yet...noone writes about the press box antics. I know with the Sox poor play right now there isn't much to write about but IMO this is a non-story.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 5, 2008 -> 06:45 PM) http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080505/ap_en_...ansson_reynolds This could certainly be construed as unfortunate news. Not that any of us here had a legit shot, it's nice to see a hot woman in Hollywood end up with someone who isn't twice her age (though Reynolds is older), has long, stringy hair, is out of shape and probably has a substance problem. The few interviews I've seen with Reynolds, he seems like a nice guy and he's pretty funny too. (**sidenote..reynolds has a drama out or coming out that he's getting good reviews in...maybe he can act too..lol) Man props to Reynolds for the huge upgrade from Alanis Morrisette to Scarlett..... nice pull bro'

QUOTE (the People's Champ @ May 5, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) Farmer was complaining about the call at third, in the same inning as well. Said that on the lineout Crede got back to the bag before the runner but the ump still called the runner safe. Anyone see that play? I was surprised that Hawk wasn't saying anything about that play if Farmer was saying it was a blown call. I think the ump at third got that call right. Then again...i was able to see instant replay and at full speed it could have gone either way. I'm not too upset about that one but Hawk did bring up a good point about the play at second. When Ozzie came out to argue the call...all the 2B umpire had to do was ask if any of the other umps saw OC make the tag. If none of them saw it then Oz didn't have too much to bi*ch about and he would go away but just for the fact that when Oz went out there and the ump turned and walked away from them without asking the other umpires (Hawk's point) that would have set me off too. Then again...I guess it's too much for the home plate umpire (who HAD to have seen the tag) to tell the crew chief at 2B that the tag was made.

concerning the 'controversial' play with Rios and Cabrera yesterday.....I'm not sure what the rule is but couldn't Rios have been called out for interference???? The fact that Hawk didn't bring it up surprised me a bit then i figured there was some rule I was unaware of that didn't make it interference. Like the thread title goes...i'm sure someone knows the ruling...i'm just curious.

To decry the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto IV, Jack Thompson sent a message to the mother of Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick, according to a report by Shacknews. The email is provocative, to say the least. Not only does it say Mr. Zelnick is "like the Hitler Youth," it also attributes the deaths of three Alabama policemen and "a recent plethora of cop killings" to prior entries in the GTA series. Game|Life contacted Mr. Thompson earlier today and were informed that the email was actually issued to Zelnick's lawyer. This would be in following with a prior settlement that prevents Mr. Thompson from contacting Take-Two, unless he does so through legal counsel. "I sent it to Strauss Zelnick's attorney. I would never send it to his mother," Mr. Thompson told me. I've specifically been avoiding passing any judgement on the email; Instead, I offer you all the chance to form your own opinions. The email sent by Mr. Thompson can be found verbatim directly below: "Mrs. Zelnick Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two Chairman’s Mother New York, New York Via e-mails to intermediaries Re: Your Son, Strauss Zelnick Dear Mrs. Zelnick: Your son, as you may know (or maybe you don’t know), is Chairman of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., whose most popular video games are the Grand Theft Auto murder simulator games banned in some countries but sold to children here. Your son last week was reported to have said the following about Grand Theft Auto IV, due to be released Tuesday, April 29: "We’ve already received numerous [GTA IV] reviews, and to a one, they are perfect scores. My mom couldn’t write better reviews…" Taking your son’s thought, I would encourage you either to play this game or have an adroit video gamer play it for you. Some of the latter gamers are on death row, so try to find one out in the civilian population who hasn’t killed someone yet. What you will see in your son’s game, if this iteration of GTA is anything like its predecessors, is incredible interactive violence aimed at police officers (whom you can shoot in the head and see the blood spray), innocent bystanders (whom you can run over with your car just for the heck of it), and of course the plentiful female prostitutes you can have sex with and then filet with a knife or stomp with your feet in order to get your money back. Experts note that the recent plethora of cop killings is caused in part by your darling son’s entrepreneurial energy. There are three policemen dead in Alabama because of Grand Theft Auto. I was on 60 Minutes about it. I hope Strauss has provided you with a flat screen tv to see the grief of the bereaved families that fills the screen. The pornography and violence that your son trafficks in is the kind of stuff that most mothers would be ashamed to see their son putting into the hands of other mothers’ children, but, hey, your son Strauss has recently assured the world that he is "a Boy Scout, everybody knows that." I’d love to see the merit badges that Scout Troop handed out. Is there a Ted Bundy merit badge? If so, your loving son deserves one now. It should be red and green, for obvious reasons. With Passover having just come and gone, it is appropriate to note the following from the Old Testament, Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Mrs. Zelnick, did you train up your son, Strauss, to make millions of dollars by pushing Mature-rated video games to children? Any kid can go right to little Strauss’ corporate web site and buy GTA IV with no age verification. Strauss is even marketing the new Grand Theft Auto IV on World Wrestling Entertainment tv shows seen by millions of kids. If you trained up Strauss to do this, then shame on you. But maybe the explanation for your son’s corporate sociopathy is to be found in Old Testament Proverb 29:15: "The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame." Maybe you, Mrs. Zelnick, were so taken by your handsome son that you spared the rod and spoiled the child. That would explain why he has brought you, by the way he presently acts, "to shame." There’s another mother you would do well to talk to. Mrs. Crump in Alabama had a son who was a police officer. He’s now dead because a teenaged boy unwittingly trained himself to kill him on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. She has a grief she carries every day that only a mother can know. There are other such mothers in the heartland of America whose inhabitants your son simply sees as commercial targets. Your son, this very moment, is doing everything he possibly can to sell as many copies of GTA IV to teen boys in the United States, a country in which your son claims you raised him to be "a Boy Scout." More like the Hitler Youth, I would say. Happy Mother’s day, Mrs. Zelnick, which this year is May 11, two weeks after your son unleashes porn and violence upon other mothers’ boys. I’m sure you’re very proud. Sincerely, Jack Thompson"

QUOTE (Brian @ May 2, 2008 -> 05:49 PM) I do think whatever Kate is doing has to do with Sawyer's kid. It's the only favor I could see Sawyer asking Kate for. Well...Sawyer was probably hitting Kate up for phone sex...after Claire dies and Kate leaves....what are Sawyer's options???? Join Rose and Bernard in making a 'reverse-oreo' sandwich??? LOL

i'll try to find the article but Hayes was also reoprted using the 'N-word' around and referring to Mark Henry. it takes wither big nuts or lack of brains to say that to "The World's Strongest Man!!" I saw this on Wrestlezone.com......... Here is the TMZ.com story: There's no doubt that using the n-word is stupid -- but allegedly using the n-word in front of a guy that's over six-feet-tall, weighs nearly 400 pounds and calls himself "The World's Strongest Man" is beyond idiotic. Enter WWE writer Michael Hayes. TMZ has confirmed that Hayes, the head writer for WWE's "Smackdown," has been suspended for 60 days -- allegedly for using racist language in front of wrestler Mark Henry. Michael's haymaker was supposedly thrown while out drinking at a party during the weekend of Wrestlemania, where reports say Hayes told Henry, "I'm more of a n----- than you are." A rep for the WWE released this statement: "Due to inappropriate behavior, Michael Hayes was suspended for 60 days with no pay. In order to return to work, Michael Hayes will be required to undergo further evaluation." hayes-------->
