  1. Life Savers anyone....i would get that all the time when i was younger, but now it's Reese's
  2. and see what he does during the 2005 season...personally i hope he performs up to my expectations and not yours....
  3. I agree he has hit way over his head....but i think between his minor league performances and his major league performance...he is more of a .280/.290 hitter. Thats the average between the two. It's an in between figure. If he were to hit in the .270's that's still good....but by his performances i would expect a little better.
  4. what do you guys think of the change of scenery thing for podsednik?
  5. .270 something in the minors and .330 in the majors. split it up and you get .290 something. I think he would be in between the minors and the majors in performance...that's all.
  6. that's why i posted that. I don't think he is a fluke...but certainly not able to put up those types of numbers. maybe more of a .290 or so hitter is more reasonable for Jaime. He seemed to be more comfortable in the majors. Who know's...maybe a change of scenary might do scott some good. Isn't that what everyone says? I think it might. He's coming to a better team...a hitters park...the American League? His success was probably because no one knew who he was when he was a rookie, but they then figured him out the next year. Well he would basically be in the same situation in the American League. No one would know how he plays offensively....but this time he isn't a rookie he has two years of experience...A great year and a Bad year to learn from.
  7. i'd assume castillo would be leadoff and scott would be 2 or 9 in that trade situation.
  8. Anderson won't even be here in 2005. Podsenik and Castillo would be added...and lee would be subtracted in the deal. Plus the possibility of signing Dye to give some more power. 0-1(Lee)+3(Pods, Castillo, and Dye)="Ozzieball" in 2005
  9. one year??....he's been in the majors for two full seasons...plus another 20 games the 2 before. Give him at least three to four seasons to show CAREER statistics.
  10. why not take the gamble...What are the Sox predicted to do this year?? Cleveland's coming...and so is Detroit. It might pay off it might not either way....everett could play left coming from the bench and rowand goes back to center with dye in right. Anderson is more than a season from being ready for the majors.....aren't majority of the fans wanting something to be done now and not when Anderson's ready.
  11. Could it be that Podsednik just had a bad year last year????
  12. yeah...i would definitley take podsedniks 2003 season though
  13. i didn't see anything on the marlins official forum...most members live in florida and you would expect at least some of them to listen to Florida sports talk radio.
  14. what a coincidence.....cuz i just made this one. I didn't even know this thread existed and i come to soxtalk to show the new avatar i made....and it happens to be family guy...
  15. you remind me of someone.....You don't get it....noone likes ...nor agrees with you.
  16. but my popcorn just got done....
  17. Jaret Wright looks good as a #3 or 4 guy. I'll go with him...if the price is WRIGHT.
  18. i liked the vina/renteria....and the alomar/vizquel tandems. I don't think there are any out there that come close to those defensive duos up the middle.
  19. Angels or the Yankees will get him...IMO. Angels-World Series potential, some Latin players, great fans, great team, and have some money to give him. Yankees-World Series potential...duh, great coach, great fans(not to me though), great city, they have history, and have the money.
  20. Gobble..gob...gob...gobble..... Happy Thanksgiving...
