  1. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is this THE Howard Stern we are all talking about??? No. It's this slime bag agent who came to her aid in the midst of her depression and managed to become her spokesman and of course agent completely taking control of her life in the process.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> On TV tonight, Nancy Grace was saying that her "husband", Howard Stern, was missing in action during a large portion of the morning leading up to her death, which was out of character for him. As an avid Howard Stern (the real one), I remember a couple episodes in the past where Anna's Stern and him were getting in heated arguments. The guy always came off as a douchebag to me, a guy who had taken complete control of her life. Still, I don't know why he'd want Anna and her son dead, he was reaping the benefits financially with all the money she was bringing in.
  3. Definitly an interesting interview replayed on CNN tonight. An interview with Anna Nicole Smith's mother saying that she knew 100%, no questions asked, that her grandson, Anna's son, Daniel never overdosed purposely, didn't kill himself, etc... She then proceeded to say that "Vicky Linn, if you don't watch out for the people you're with, you will be next." I don't know why this story is interesting to me, but everything I'm seeing is making it more and more crazy. I'm interested to see where this goes.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 04:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yahoo, CNN... I'm watching CNN and have been for the last half hour. Not one mention of her OD'ing and it wasn't even a possibility on the list of things people speculated could be the cause. I really couldn't care less, I was just wondering if you had a link or something definitive.
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 04:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can't think if anything more selfish. Early reports (Yahoo, CNN, local news stations claiming to have hospital sources) are saying OD. Where are you seeing this?
  6. QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 04:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or as Stuart Scott pronounced it after the game, "Shay-er". Way to do your search, lazy eye! Stu Scott Equals Tranny
  7. I was just watching some special on The Insider on her late last night. Wow.
  8. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writ....bkc/index.html Awesome, my man. I'd take him on my team over any player in the country. It will be an absolute disgrace if he isn't given ACC Player of the Year and a spot on the first team All-American squad. He's the best player in Boston College history and what he's doing, with the talent that team has is something special. I'll cry if I don't get to see him play one more time at Conte. Duke, North Carolina. I'm coming.
  9. I saw this in another thread. Can anyone explain it? I'm not familiar with this guys blog.
  10. Regardless of the sport, if I have the number one overall pick, I draft the best talent available and not for team need. Reggie Bush > Mario Williams. Point in case.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 5, 2007 -> 07:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly, right now most teams are about 10 days from Spring Training, rosters are being finalized and GMs are shifting to in house scouting, figuring out how they're going to for their 25 man roster through the 40+ players they have with them in Florida/Arizona. You really don't see many significant trades during ST historically, it just doesn't happen. Todd Helton might be an exception this ST.
  12. No value might be pushing it, but Olsen or Sanchez? That's ridiculous talk. What do you realistically see the White Sox being able to get from say the Marlins if a deal were to go down?
  13. QUOTE(southsida86 @ Feb 5, 2007 -> 07:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1) are you saying that TB won't go for the trade in the first place or the Sox would be dumb to do it. I know that Crawford is very unlikely to get in a trade so I was meaning that Baldelli was the person to get in the trade. I don't think that TB would get a better offer than that. 2) I even said that Anderson for Olsen or Sanchez was a pipedream in the first place. 3) the Mets trade idea was only possible if (1) and (2) happen. Anderson has zero value. He wouldn't snag anyone near the names you mentioned. Also, the Devil Rays aren't going to trade Crawford or Baldelli for Broadway and a tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Trade ideas
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 26, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I happened to be flipping the channels last night and he was interviewed on Best Damn and apparently Harris offered him tickets to a game next year and an autographed jersey (which is pretty classy, imo) and the guy was like I am a season ticket holder to I don't need tickets. If you ask me the guy is an asshole for trying to start this. I could see it if he was joking around with Harris but its another thing when you start going on TV saying how he deserves this tickets. He doesn't deserve s***. typical bears fan
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 05:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> R&W it may be uncool thing for me to do (since your a wanted man around these parts) but we tend to agree a whole heck of a lot. Saying that is like saying Heil Hitler in an Israeli temple. Watch out. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 05:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well we know they may think he is healthy, and he was cheaper than Stewart. I still think he plays a majority of his time in the corner spot, especially when PODS is out. Precisely, which is what makes this signing a good one in my opinion.
  16. Wow. I cringe with pain just looking at the picture. I don't know much about this and I know he was a race horse but couldn't they have just amputated his leg? I mean, he'd still be able to reproduce and pop out some real good suckers? No?
  17. He can play first base, he can play the corners. If he can't play center field as he once did, as Jason said, I can't imagine him being any worse than a major league average center fielder. I suppose you are right though that the White Sox should know with certainty that he can play and be healthy, so I'm going to take that mindset and say that the White Sox think he is healthy.
  18. He's been hurt, so an Angels fan or not shouldn't be able to answer this with a definite answer. In my opinion, the White Sox will have to wait until Spring Training to see how far he's come along to see if he'll be able to play some center field.
  19. I couldn't care less that this horse died. As has been mentioned, the damn thing has been put through so much trouble as is.
  20. The White Out will fail, almost to the point where I'll just wear my crimson Indiana apparel.
  21. And the Red Sox weren't going to trade a front line prospect and have him perform ala Hanley Ramirez, Anabel Sanchez. Might be revisisted down the road because Theo loves Helton, but at this point as mention, it's ova.
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 29, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seriously, the Red Sox are a gigantic market team which is just a little too stubborn about that small-market mentality. Exactly. The Yankees get this done, the Red Sox decide not to over chump change. Big difference between the two.
