  1. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 17, 2007 -> 03:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> even if someone posted quotes and stories from years past is it really going to change YOUR opinion? It's self assuring to know that you've criticized him all this time and have nothing of importance to say on the matter. Case closed with you.

  3. That's definitly true, Jason. I laid in bed from 12:15 until 6:15 this morning and I was thinking about girls, sports, putting things together in my mind, dreaming without sleeping, imagining things.. I just couldn't get to sleep. It's awful. I wouldn't be a good buddhist.
  4. How is he an asshole? Again, people say he's this and say he's that but provide no information to clarify how or why they think what they think.
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 17, 2007 -> 10:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well to be fair its a little bit different to do something like that during a game than it is for someone to dance on another team's logo by mocking one of their players at the end of a game. Also huge difference in showing disrespect to 1 player but when you do it at midfield on the logo your showing it to the entire team. Remember TO doing his little thing on the Dallas star a few years ago. I just fail to see the difference between the two, nor do I see how Tomlinson can be angry when his own teammate does that to mock his opponents. To be fair, I think any celebration of any kind is rather disrespectful but when you're playing for a Super Bowl championship and in the NFL, you need to grow a sack on stop being such a poor sport. I really want to do some research into Tomlinson' pop warner, high school, and college career. He's never been one to speak out, he's pretty much been a mute, but I find that hard to believe after his display the last few days. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 17, 2007 -> 10:56 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He was called not classy LONG before LT said anything about him. In fact it started before he even worked on the Patriots staff. All business-like coaches are viewed as not classy by the majority, it happens all the time. What is he not classy for? All I keep hearing is that he is or isn't classy, I'm trying to think of things that he's done that make him not classy. In one hand, I want to say that the whole Jets thing wasn't classy but in reality he never wanted to coach in New York and had been a target of the Patriots for years prior just as he had targeted them being the New England native that he is. I guess deciding that he could do without Lawyer Milloy and Ty Law who have done pretty much nothing since they departed and were going to make record money at there respective position are the things you're referring to.
  6. Larry Bird must be loving the fact that he'll have two whites in his starting line-up. I like the move for the Pacers. Maybe this opens up the Jermaine O'Neal to Boston trade.
  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 17, 2007 -> 06:54 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Two days in a row now that I have not been able to sleep at all, fantastic. I didn't sleep for one minute last night. Living in a dorm has it's pros but it certainly has it's cons.
  8. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 11:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sweet anecdote about Belichick, Red. I love the guy, and I'm glad to read something classy about him. You're no LT, but I'll still take your word for it. It just makes me laugh to hear that he's not classy. He's done nothing to show that and for people to take the side of LT when he's clearly being a poor sport is foolish, in my opinion. Somehow it's alright for the Bears to mock the Giants with the "fade-away jumper" but it isn't alright for the Patriots to mock the Merriman steroid injection dance. Just doesn't seem right. P.S. I'm referring to Bears fans I've talked to, more so than I am Bears fans on this board.
  9. Incredible game, incredible finish.. incredible everything..
  10. Did IU really just pick up a four star recruit who de-committed from michigan? Incredible.
  11. The place was rockin' tonight. Good win, for my Eagles as well.
  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Way to step up Bulin.... Odds are it's directed me, for those wondering.
  13. That Dreifort signing still baffles me. Or when the Rockies gave him and Mike Hampton that huge contract? Like, during that press conference did the Rockies and Dodgers respectively think they were making smart financial moves?
  14. I'll be the one with Errek Suhr Plays Nasty sign. Go Hoosiers!
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 02:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I second that. One person in the world says we are overpaying on this one year deal. Wonder why? I never said the White Sox were overpaying. Please, Rock, don't get started. What I did say is that his price nearly doubled which doesn't happen often in the arbitration process.
  16. Good point, very true. I have argued against the Colts saying that they very easily could have lost any of those nine games in which they won all of them by squeaking by. Both teams have a good chance of winning, I can't wait for the game.
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 02:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't get the reasoning for the Sox to have waited all this time for Crede to become serviceable after some horrid years, and spin him off as soon as he becomes legit just so we can restart the cycle with another unproven player at 3B. It's not what the White Sox planned years ago, but I think it's a realization they've come to now having dealt with Boras in the past on this issue as well as him not budging on the back issues. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 02:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If Joe Crede were a Red Sox Rednwhite "How can you say that the Red Sox aren't the best, they just signed one of the best 3rd basemen in the league. Look at his numbers and how they matched up to Arod and Chavez. My god isnt Theo a genius." Joe Crede the White Sox player. Rednwhite "You are getting hosed, paying a player double from his salary last year. Mike Lowell is healthy at least." Good one! I'm not a Joe Crede fan nor a Mike Lowell fan so this is just ignorant and a downright stupid post. Delete. /Ignored
  18. Greasy, I'm more so saying that the Colts were still undefeated after beating the Patriots in week nine. Since then, they've been a completely different team, and although they have won two games in the playoffs, they've been very beatable since that week nine game.
  19. Crede' salary is doubling here, correct?. It's not cheap by any means then.
  20. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 12:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So, again, the Colts have no case, despite already winning in Foxboro? The Colts have a case, although I think we'd both agree that they are a different team now than when they played in week nine. It should be a great game, I'm hoping the Patriots come out on top.
  21. Dillon aging is a reason for not choosing Maroney and him in the future, but Rock was referring to the best tandem left in the playoffs. If we're talking this season, what running back tandem will give the team they play for the best chance of winning, I think you could make a case for New England, New Orleans and Chicago. That is all.
  22. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course you would, why wouldnt you pick a Patriots tandem that isnt anywhere close to as effective as the Bears. Dillon 812 yards Maroney 745 yards T Jones 1210 yards Benson 647 yards TJ and Benson statistically are better runners than the Saints backs. Bush obviously does alot more things than most backs and will improve over time, but regardless, the Bears backs right now are better runners. You're going to point to total combined rushing yards to compare the two? That's downright foolish. The Bears ran the ball close to a hundred times more than the Patriots did. The Patriots were a pass first offense while the Bears were a run first offense. You're going to conclude all the while throwing a jab that the Patriots tandem is far worse than the Bears tandem based off a 300 yard difference when the Bears combo ran the ball 79 more times than the Patriots did? Come on, you're better than that. If Tom Brady were on the Bears and Rex Grossman were on the Patriots, first of all, we'd have probably seen Cassel by now, but if we hadn't we would without a doubt be seeing more touches between Dillon and Maroney. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 10:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Belichick might be the most snide jackass in the NFL. It's too bad he can't get on the field himself and get the s*** kicked out of him a few times. Can you explain this A-boz? The guy keeps to himself, lets the on-field action speak for himself. I suppose his attire I could do without but what's it matter? Don't tell me it's because a player or two celebrated a win in a week where nobody thought they could do it, expected them to do it, etc. Knowing him and meeting him first hand, his classyness amazed me. He's stayed loyal to the same barber since he's been here, even going to him when he used to come visit here.. So I went to get my hair cut and I saw him, he listened to me when I told him how big of a fan I was, shook my hand, told me he appreciated it, and finally took down my address and sent me and my two brothers a personalized autograph picture sent directly from his house. He lives in the same town that I do. Rather remarkable guy if you ask me.
  23. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 12:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In the wake of all of the ESPN press dedicated to talking about how great the Saints offense is, and how questionable the bears defense and offense are, its somewhat becoming lost that the Saints defense is one of the worst against the run in the league. The Bears are a running team. The bears two running backs are the best tandem ileft in the playoffs. The Saints give up an avg of 128.9 yards per game against the run. If the offense can move the ball with Jones and Benson and play action off of that, I think we have a great chance of taking the game. If its windy and cold, the running game becomes that much more important. I'd rather have Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister. I'd also rather have Maroney and Dillon. ...Atleast until Benson doesn't get the PT he deserves.
  24. I'd be embarrassed for Soxtalk if that filth was spread out over the main page.
  25. Who cares, this is such a dumb story. The only thing that should be taken away from this story is that Bonds' mentioned a teammate, something I never thought he'd do.
