  1. The answer to the question on your sig is yes.
  2. I'm interested, and hey, i'll have time this year. What a concept.
  3. 1.5 million is all that is guaranteed. It is virtually a no risk move.
  4. So the people who make this site what it is are left in the dark regarding a suspension that has been deemed unfair by poster after poster? I am not in the position to question the admins authority, nor am I doing so, but something seems a little messed up if the kid is suspended and simply "thats that." *shrugs*
  5. please do. I'd like to hear. I say "The Red Sox are World Series Champions," a true statement, and somehow I become bias. :rolly
  6. wait a minute. thats a u2 banner. i hate you. uno, doce, trece, cortece.. hello, hello... AHHHH!!! That freakin song drives me up a wall.
  7. We have disageed plenty of times, but our scrap is only derived from one topic and one topic only. I have no problem with you, whatever has been thrown each of our ways, it's all in the "heat" of the argument. It happens. To be honest, I really like you. Sexually.
  8. By the way... soxace -- I don't get along with you, I think your ignorant, I don't think you know your ass from your elbow, but through all that I have seen hands down the best sig on soxtalk courtesy of you. congratulations.
  9. There are several people on this board who are freinds in someway or another, and do nothing but talk to eachother in chatrooms, instant messages, and here on soxtalk. Those who gang up, single out, "tattle," and contribute nothing but trying to "pwn" people are just as pathetic as most of you believe anthrax to be. In my opinion, it is completely unjust to suspend anthrax. Just the other night another lurker was posting his thoughts, and an unidentified user called him out and basically said he knew nothing about the sport and was stupid to the point where he had to "tutor" him. Thats bulls***. I lurked for quite sometime, not because I was afraid of these responses but because I had no need to say something and then have some jackass call me out and say s*** that frankly doesn't need to be said. There are quite a few lurkers. Everytime I log on there are just as many people not signed in as there are those who are signed in. It's a problem that needs to be fixed, and it starts with not suspending anthrax.
  10. Just for the record... The Wade Miller signing is the best of the offseason thus far.
  11. It's amazing that the Dodgers weren't able to offer Beltre a deal worth the same as what they gave for Drew. Depodesta... :rolly
  12. Aboz and the other ignorant doofus' on this topic. Please tell me how signing Edgar Renteria, David Wells, Matt Clement, Matt Mantei and Wade Miller is anywhere even close to what the Yankees are doing. Renteria accepts a deal that is worth eight million dollars less than what he was offered by two other teams as reported by rotoworld and will make only seven million dollars next season making this deal by far and away a top three steal of the free agent season. David Wells signed a completely incentive based contract guaranteeing him only 2.5 million dollars, another smart move. Matt Clement was not "bought" and again chose to take a deal worth less money than what he was offered to play for the storied Boston Red Sox, another excellent move. Mantei was a complete low-risk high reward move, and Wade Miller fits that bill aswell. There has yet to be any player "bought" or anything even remotely close that would indicate there with in the same league as the Yankees in terms of money. Not a single thing.
  13. qwerty is one-hundred percent correct here. Carl Everett will not be on the bench when Frank Thomas is out of the lineup.
  14. I needed that, thanks man, this is why I come to soxtalk.
  15. ...because Barry Larkin is such a sought after player. :rolly
  16. Obviously didn't look that hard, qwert.
  17. Yes, its Boston Dirt Dogs, but its definitly a pretty interesting tidbit, and worth noting in my opinion. If this is true, it is looking more and more likely that the White Sox will go after someone to play second base next season. Thoughts.
  18. For a year possibly, but considering he's more injury proned than Frank Thomas, he deserves nothing guaranteed beyond a one year deal. I won't be happy that it is a two year deal. Not in the least.
  19. Not even in this market would a general manager in there right mind pay two million dollars for Alex Cora. He'll sign for about the same he made last year, and with Mark Ellis and few others recieving under 1.0 he might even sign for under a million dollars.
  20. Whos the next David Ortiz in the bunch you ask? Josh Phelps and Eric Munson.
  21. I don't think this means Pierzynski is a "lock" by any means. This just means when Davis is signed it will be for less than the 1.5-plus he'd have recieved through arbitration. He will most likely be resigned in the 750,000-1,000,000 range.
