Dont know if this is old or not, but apparently Tom Waits was Ledgers inspiration for the Joker character that he played. Pretty cool stuff. http://www.hollywire.com/2012/08/heath-led...er-and-its-spot

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 09:42 AM) 2011-2012 Salaries per team. Bulls "Going for it" - $66,746,162 ZOMG LUXURY TAX - $70,000,000 Lakers - $93,945,748 Heat - $77,133,080 Celtics - $80,768,561 Mavericks - $70,077,245 Spurs - $73,699,420 Magic - $77,506,707 Some people live in reality where they see a team like the Lakers spending $25 million more than the Bulls without fear of the luxury tax so they can compete. Or a f***ing s*** city like Miami outspending the Bulls who have the longest sellout streak in the NBA. All of you fall in line and think the Bulls are great and doing what they can, while in reality they continually spit in the face of the League's best fan-base (proven) while teams like the Philadelphia 76er's out-spend them ($68,932,083). Sure, there's something to be said for smart spending, but there's also something to be said for willing to take on stars with big contracts that JUST MIGHT push you over the dreaded luxury tax threshold. It's a joke, but the fans continue to tow the team line and act like JR truly wants a championship. I like everything steve said except for the blatant attack on the beautiful city of miami, which is clearly better all the other cities on that over the luxury tax city list. I find it more laughable that an amusement park city like Orlando outspends Chicago.

QUOTE (Carter224 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 12:39 AM) Just got back from The Dark Knight Rises, it was easily the WORST movie of the three.. I am so f***ing pissed off at how it ended. Awful. I am so disappointed its not even funny. Told you... We couldve finished the ACC championship game on our online dynasty, but noooooooooo..

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) Damn dude. Even coming from a family history of vets (not me personally, but Dad, both Grandfathers, uncles etc) how much they just don't talk about those experiences, sometimes even when pointedly asked about it. Nothing but respect from me. Lots and lots of therapy. But thanks pops

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) That begs the next question, how many times have you been shot? Was it in military action? Yep. 15 months worth of random pop shots while on patrols. The first time it happened to me i felt like all my previous training flew out the window and survival mode kicked in.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 01:46 PM) And now anytime any of us goes to a movie, we'll feel a little bit uneasy and be staring at the exit doors up front. Kind of like a lot of people flying today still get that uneasy feeling and look around and hope no one on there is a terrorist. I'm trying to actually envision sitting in a theater and having someone up fire - you must feel like you aren't in a real world for a few seconds until panic hits and you have to try to survive. Definitely if its your first time getting shot at your first reaction is disbelief, then taking cover.

Soccer needs ads all over the place since theres no commercials until half time. Basketball though? Its like the only sport where 45 seconds can turn into 15 minutes.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) Just saw it, I wont post any review because there is just no way not to reveal spoilers. Some people are going to be very mad. Hathaway is hot as hell though, so hot. Just saw it too and i agree on both points.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 11:30 AM) The whole not 1, not 2, not 3, etc etc is still far more annoying to me then the Howard drama. The less the Heat win the happier I'll be. Lebron learnt that from this man when he did this after winning his 5th championship against the jazz. Remember? He counted up to 8 championships on his fingers! So arrogant i tell ya.

Ray Ray Armstrong just got dismissed from the Miami football team.. What a waste of talent! I wonder what route he chooses now. -
Theres a deal where if you sign up to work for uncle sam's military, you're allowed to go to the top of Big Willie for free... Sounded like a steal to me.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 10:07 PM) If you dont have anything nice to say, you dont need to say anything at all. What good does it to boo boozer, besides for making you feel a little better about yourself. Yeah its like how people in every stadium boo Lebron whenever he touches the ball. The man cant even open up internet explorer (lulz) without seeing some trash talked about him nearly every day during the nba season. I had a hard enough time stomaching just my mother in law being against me sheesh.
