  4. Time for BILLY TIME!
  5. Marte gets new sox-killer Brian Roberts and we're going to the 9th. BTW - Olivo is now @ .315 and 13 RBI. If he could get 70-80 RBI and hit anywhere close to .300, huge for 8th or 9th in the order.
  6. attend. tonight in Montreal - 3,609. Here we go Northern Virginia - if you build it, they will come.
  7. Come on Willie, no 0-5. Good job by A-row and Crede!
  8. ok, it's marte
  9. please tell me cotts is coming in to face gibbons
  10. about f***ing time in this series, the Orioles have been running all over our pitchers the last 2 games.
  11. I was at Camden the last two nights. Gettysburg is about 1:15 away from Baltimore. I won't be there tonight (finally f'ing schoolwork caught up with me). I'll be watching it on ESPN. But as far as last night, I chalk the poor performance up to it simply being one of those nights where no one really felt like playing hard. Not to make excuses, but hey, it happens when you play 162 games, you just hope it happens very rarely. It was disappointing to me, just because it was one of the few games I'll see them play in person this season. Basically you combine a couple booted ground balls, a couple bad throws by Miguel, the pitchers (again) being wild and completly falling asleep with runners on base (Roberts tied an Oriole team record with 4 SBs last night), and the offense was mostly dead, and it was just one of those nights. Hopefully the Sox come back strong tonight and win the series. Any series win on the road is still damn good. PS - about Camden, I've been there a total of about 12 or 13 times (all but 4 of which were when the Sox were there) and I always enjoy the stadium, regardless of how the Sox do. The park is beautiful, the food is great, (not as good as Comiskey though) and the harbor area of Baltimore is very nice too.

I didn't know about the pitch count. But I certainly wasn't bashing Ozzie, either for weather (the raining, 40 degree weather) or for pitch count, taking out Scho made sense last night.

I was at Camden last night and Scho was great. The bad weather was responsible for his rough start (I think his brain was still a bit cold in the 1st) and for Ozzie not allowing him to try for the CG. The walks early on and Roberts SBs actually woke Scott up and he was barely touched the rest of the night. I'm sure most people posting here saw the game on TV, so I won't go into much detail except to say that the number of Orioles that made solid contact (let alone got a hit) off of Scho was maybe 3 or 4 for his 7 innings.
  14. 23 walks will do that for ya. He can clog the bases all he wants if he's on the bases all the time, lol. And Harold Reynolds is going senile in his 40's just pitiful. :finger
  15. Except in Baltimore that warehouse has been there way before the park was there. True they renovated it when Camden went up. But, it works so well in Baltimore because it perfectly fits the skyline and that part of town, I don't see how you could recreate that to make it work in/around Comiskey. Personally, the large ads have never bothered me at Comiskey, I mean look at old (mostly gone) ballparks, they all had huge ads, many directly on the outfield fences, so to me the ads aren't strange looking. Plus the OF concourse is a plus the way it is. (not that you could get me to say anything negative about Eutaw St. in Camden, either). Just my two cents.
  16. Twins lose, Royals lose, Tigers lose, Cubs lose SOX WIN! Perfect f***ing day! :fthecubs
  17. Great job by Koch! Great series win! I can't wait for tomorrow night. Seeing the Sox at Camden Yards, YES!
  18. That was a ball, Gomez should've gotten his money worth and gotten tossed.
  19. Farnsworth walks Edmonds, loading the bases. Still 1 out.
  20. Henry Blanco the batter for Minnesota...and...he flies out to end the game. Anaheim 3, Minnesota 1
  21. Percival with two striaght walks, loads the bases for Minnesota
  22. Cubs 0 Cards 0 Bot 8th Womack leads off w/ a 2B for St.L Mercker is in for Zambrano
  23. Sweet turn by Willie and Uribe, Jon needed that. Jon's at 62 pitches, a CG might be possible, hopefully he can at least go a couple more innings.
  24. The BIG HURT! YEEEEEESSS! 3-1, keep going boys!
  25. sac fly by Willie, 2-1 good guys (3 sacrifices)
