  1. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 1, 2007 -> 03:14 PM) Darius Walker has a better chance to make this team than Wolfe IMO. That is the dumbest thing ive heard
  2. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 11:23 PM) Start a contest on when the top 5 get released I say. By the time the top5 released, all 5 of them will be in the majors
  3. I dont think you trade any of our prospects right now. You either win with this core, or if we are out of it come trade deadline trade it away. Next year be somewhat of a rebuilding season and year after that we contend again.
  4. their WR's went from weak to a strength, wow Brady is going to have fun throwing the deep pass this season.
  5. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 12:30 PM) Are you kidding me? Hinrich may have had some foul trouble but he's still a s***LOAD and I mean a s***LOAD better than Ben Gordon. Now Deng is better, but thats it on the Bulls. Hinrich should always have the ball in his hands late in games, f*** this Ben Gordon crap, let Hinrich find BG an open shot because BG is a piss poor decision maker. Gordon is better than Hinrich. That being said for Gordon to be on the floor you need someone else that is going to run the offense. But no question about it, right now Hinrich is our 3rd best player.
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 12:58 AM) The Warriors have had their number for the last two years. Don Nelson obviously knows something about this team that other coaches don't. Not 2 mention, the warriors are better than people givem credit for. Baron Davis is finally healthy and they ended the season on a 9-1 run. This team can do some serious damage in the playoffs possibly.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 01:34 AM) I hate him because he is a pretty boy and a damn liar. He knows very well he wouldn't play on any of the better teams in the league. Hes arrogant and cocky. How come now he isn't claiming that he's the best QB in the draft and that he could easily go #1? What exactly is your problem with him? He said that he thinks he is the best QB but he said JaMarcus probably feels the same way about himself so its up for you to decide. And he said he wants to go number 1. I dont understand why all the hate you have for him is coming from. Its not like he is being Eli Manning or John Elway refusing to play for a team if they draft him.
  8. I actually like Hunter a lot, i hope he can get back on the field as soon as possible. He would be loved on this board if he was a whitesox, way moreso than AJ is.
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 07:04 PM) Its actually pretty impressive to come out of an invasive surgery like that and pitch so well. Also i enjoy his outspoken views on steroids in baseball and his insane amount of charity work out of baseball. If the guy wasnt on the Red Sox, many of you would have a different opinion, and thats ok. Him being on the Red Sox has nothing to do about him being a jackass. Especially since he has only been on that team for like 3 seasons or so after spending most his career elsewhere.
  10. Well who knows now, Schilling likes to over-exagerate things but also puts fake blood/paint on your sock lol. bottom line, Schilling is a d-bag and i dont care.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 01:36 PM) So obvious that you never said or thought something until now? Why would I care to? Obviously im not positive its fake but it did seem a little bit of bulls*** to me during the game. But, it didnt involve the whitesox in any which way and unless im sure about something why speak out? Honestly after the game I just let it go and focused on the fact the redsox making the greatest comeback in mlb history.
  12. QUOTE(Shadows @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 03:50 AM) He probably lied to you, unless you don't get blacked out for the Sox games on MLB.tv I have tried to use someone from Chicagos MLB TV and I live in Texas, and sadly, it said it was blacked out due to the location of the payments Well for one, he had no reason to lie. And he couldnt see his rangers games and i could using the same mlb.tv. Also he was just one of my friends that I let use it, and it was same story. Plus when i went to Arkansas for vacation I was able to watch the whitesox fine on my mlb.tv
  13. the sock in cooperstown is from the WS game, so you cant really test the sock in question. Also considering the blood spot didnt change at all throughout the game in the ALCS, it was pretty obvious that something wasnt right with it.
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:41 PM) This has nothing to do about race; I don't know where you got that. This is him being part of a tag-team that destroyed this franchise, I feel the vendetta is more than warranted. And saying he has bad character is quite the understatement. He definitely needed a change of scenery, that being said you guys really did get the bad part of that trade with golden state. Also i dont really blame him for last night because the game was so extremely badly refereed, and Jacksons/Davis first technicals were complete bulls*** too. It was like watching game 3 of the heat vs mavericks last night, except this time everybody on dallas was getting the wade treatment.
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:21 AM) Kason Gabbard, Guadin, Runnynose Herhandez, Bernaro, and a few others say that this happens a bit when we face a bad righty with a > 7 ERA. I think the problem is that we dont respect these pitchers and figure that we can go yard on them at any point. Then get ourselves out. I think it just drains our offense after having to come back from behind so many times in a row. All our pitchers besides Buehrle lately seem to give up 3-4 runs in the first inning. Than when your playing your 8th or 9th game in a row after a lousy rainy very late game on the road b4 and have another game in lousy weather and down 3 runs before your up to bat......... than top it off missing 2 of your best 3 hitters.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:46 PM) You also have to input credit card information on a card that belongs to someone living outside blackout restrictions. That doesnt matter. I let my friend down in texas use my mlb.tv, and he could see whitesox games fine but his ranger games were blacked out.
  17. Is it possible for a major league team to have 1 bad game out of 162 when its missing 2 of its 3 best hitters? With the way some people act on this board you think we'd have the Royals or Cubs record.
  18. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:58 PM) no, MLB is an entity, and they are not members of any organization at all. That's what the rule suggests. You are flat out misinterpreting their words. Besides that, the Cy Young, MVP, and World Series awards merely signify that they've won; they are not gifts, but rather rewards. It's not a gift if MLB has to give it to them by rule. Are you sure your not the one misinterpreting it. And anyways, does it really matter. If you read the rule you obviously know what its supposed to mean.
  19. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 06:05 PM) I hope wheeler gets back on the airwaves. He was my favorite. Does anyone know like what he is doing, is he doing radio part time now at all or have any plans in getting back into it. He was a hater, but he sure was enjoyable to listen too, plus he had great callers too. I miss the dave in mississipi conversations.
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 02:58 PM) My guess is next year you see Thabo take Duhons rotation spot, and PJ is going to retire IMO, thus you'll see a lot more Tyrus. Of course, the Bulls have a pretty high lottery pick and a couple 2nd rounders too, so keep that in mind. I'm kind of hoping PJ Brown would come back for a diminished role. He isn't great by any means, but I like what he can add to the team in a smaller role.
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:00 PM) Ruben Brown and Fred Miller are both on their last legs, and I'm not a big Roberto Garza fan either.....so OL is a big need to me. Kruetz is outstanding and Tait is pretty good, so you should be ok at least at 2 spots for a while though. Who cares if your not a Garza fan lol, the organization seems to like him and i;m guessing Metcalf goes back into a starting gig once Brown is done. Miller does need to be replaced though, preferably a LT, letting Tait go back to RT will be able to extend his career at a high level.
  22. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 01:27 PM) Sefalosha is a quicker, better guard than Hinrich. no way does Hinrich lose his starting gig next season, although hopefully we see an expanded role for Thabo next season.
  23. Im going with a HR total around the 60 range. I don't know where to begin with the RBI's.
