Great win, we scored some runs not using the long ball and came back after what could of been a crushing blow. Won 3 in a row now and finally over that .500 mark. Who knows, maybe it was Buehrle's no hitter that we needed to get over the hump. Also im very impressed by Danks so far this season, historically he has always improved as the season goes on(poor first half dominating 2nd) so no reason not to expect that to be true in the majors.

My friend is telling me you can always blow on your hand or lick it even as long as your off the mound. I thought you can never lick it and can only blow when given the green light by the ump at the begining of the game. Someone clarify it please.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 11:55 AM) This is even scarier if ever built.... TransAtlantic Tunnel/Tube How cool would that be, thats a long as flight to go over the atlantic too and you could hypothetically do it in what they say 50 mins?

I had mlb.tv last year and they decided that they would go ahead and charge me for this year too. Well I emailed before the deadline asking them to cancel it, but they went ahead and charged me it anyways. Right now im low on funds in my checking account so didnt have enough money in the account to pay for it, so basicly now I owe my bank an extra 32 dollars because they decided to pick it up for me automatically.

He has good stuff but lacks control, Rangers acquired him from the Phillies. He was dominant as a reliever for the phillies.

Supposedly Crawford has stated he is done being a ref for the NBA now, he still feels that he was in the right. -

Yeah, Duncan does seem like a whiner at times but that was 100% uncalled for by Joey Crawford. Its about time refs pay for doing something like this. I think a suspension from the playoffs is in order. -
Oden, Conley....AND Cook leaving?

QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 07:38 PM) considering i have never once seen his father in the stand for any game and never heard anything about him until this statement, i will say his agent would know more Well if Conley Sr. is his agent than he is going to the draft, so right now its his possible agent or his father. And just because he isnt at games doesnt mean anything, maybe he has something called a job and cant make it to games. Since Oden isnt a grown man yet, lives at home when isnt in school, im going with the dad on this one. -
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:21 PM) Your ethnicity is terrorist? lol, well i'm just saying since i'm middle eastern , well partly anyways.

QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 05:07 PM) Interesting considering Odens Dad also stated Conley Sr. as his sons agent Still, who knows more a father or an agent? -
According to my Rangers friend, Matt Kata played 3B today and was a butcher and screwed B-Mac over in the 2nd inning, although he wasnt credited with errors.

Yeah, I think people see Planet Terror and than they expect the same going in for Death Proof, and than when its a totally different type of movie the audience is a little dissapointed.

QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 08:22 AM) and Conley Sr. says Greg has not decided yet...seems like Odens Dad is trying to capitalize on his sons success Seems to me Oden's dad should know more about the situation than Conley Sr. -
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 02:58 PM) Yeah, I figured he wouldn't drop that far considering the various scouts who have raved about his 'stuff.' If he is selected between #20 and 24, however, I'll be disappointed. This guy will only drop due to his lack of experience, but may turn into the next Rich Harden under proper care. Nothing like winning 90 useless victories a week and a half after falling out of playoff contention. Maybe your philosophy is to tank games at the end, but in my opinion you play each and every game to win. I don't mind you complaining about some of our draft picks and our scouting, but complaining that we won 90 games to me is , no we didnt get to the playoffs... but you never tank games.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 06:24 PM) No way in hell he is 6'2, 200. He looks so damn small out there. He just doesn't look like a HR hitter. maybe you need to check your eyesight lol? He is far from a huge guy but he isnt small at all, and everything he did last season would suggest 35 HR's this season so I dont know why you would think steroids.

I think Capuano is more overrated than underrated. Therefore the rest of the list means nothing to me =)

If some couch made fun my of ethnicity, like terrorist something.... I wouldnt care as long as its comfy.

Erstad has shown he is still good in the field, but how low will his avg. drop before Ozzie makes a change? Granted, it seems a lot of the times he can make productive outs, but outs are outs. The only advantage to me of having him in the lineup is it allows Iguchi and Uribe to hit at the bottom. The other thing that is kind of worrying me, it seems we are more relying on the homerun ball than ever before this season, which is saying something.

Id like either Yi Janlain or Hibbert. Maybe Noah if he falls to us and ditto with Horford.
-
Yeah, last season Carter struggled to the point of being demoted last season back to rookie ball, of course down there he absolutely owned but still. This season it looks like he has taken the next step, keep it up maybe we can see a promotion to high a sometime this season. He has been my favorite hitting prospect since Chris Young(who i liked after his season in Kanny)

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 12, 2007 -> 04:35 PM) I didn't understand it as two movies for a while after the advertising and promotion began. They did a really poor job conveying that clearly. Anyone else going to see ATHF:MFFT this weekend? I thought it was fairly obvious from the get go, I mean the advertising even said watch Planet Terror blah blah blah and than said something like "And after that, get ready for Death Proof in a back to back feature"

Corey Koskie In reality the only players i dislike are Schilling, Randy Johnson, and Barry Bonds.

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 08:53 PM) Hopefully better than Arnie Munoz's infamous curveball or the Felix Diaz fastball. Eh, Munoz had a legit great curveball, just he couldnt control it in the majors and all his other stuff stunk.

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) Actually we still get New York's lottery pick, so i think we'd be at like a 12 He meant lottery not being a factor, as in where we are slotted, which i think we are at 8th.
