QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 08:59 PM) I would agree with you that our CB's are pretty decent. Hester shouldnt see the field in that position IMO. And I would really like another big Corner with shut down abilities. Either way, a safety should be something that we look at. he seems to be catching on in the NFL schemes, and I would like to see more touches for him. Jones is hurt AGAIN and its just about time to deal him or give him up. Benson should start next year with Peterson the 3rd down back. I would be perfectly happy with that. A shutdown corner is a nice thought and all but that just isnt going to happen late in the first round, well it can but it shouldnt be expected and you wont be able to draft a CB like Pacman Jones etc. And than to add that with our 3 pretty good CB's we have now and none of them are really old I just dont see it as a position of need. Hester is a project but he could eventually become a really good corner, but still at best he will be 4th on the depth chart next season anyways. And I agree with everyone else on Benson, to me he is just a better back than TJ this season and not much more to say about it.

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) Someone to pull for... http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/6266028 Thats kind of interesting to say the cop say Its her fault she died..... even in most cases when that is actually true they word it so it doesnt come out like that. -
QUOTE(redandwhite @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) I'm curious as to what comments he's made... Something along the lines of not having enough black players up there, and than he has always expressed interest to play for the Rangers with Michael Young.

I never thought of Gagne as being a roider... like everyone else said I wouldnt go into shock if I found out it was true but really I have no reason to believe he is unlike with guys like mentioned b4 Bonds, Sosa, etc.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 03:23 AM) One of the women on my college cross country team, who also worked as a waitress at a famous club in Lake Geneva that became Americana, could pee standing up and through the fly in her jeans. She said it took some practice, but worked great while on training runs and backpacking. Who would spend the time practicing that though? lol. and where was it going while she was practicing lol

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 05:46 PM) The Bears need to address some DB's in the upcoming draft because of Mike Brown. We have some good late round talent who are filling in, but it would be nice to have a serious shut down corner or an extremely talented safety. We have 3 CB's that could start for almost every team in the NFL, and Hester is still there as a project. I wouldnt mind us taking a safety though because of MB.

Yeah from some of his comments before you get the feeling he just hates being up there.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 06:54 PM) I for one am overly concerned about the defense. They're banged up and missing 2 key pieces of the defense in Harris and Brown for the rest of the year. That's a potential weakness that teams can exploit come playoff time. Mike Brown has been out for awhile now and he is always injured it seems so I wasn't 2 worried about our D coping without him. Its the loss of Tommie Harris that has got me worried.... but im not using that Rams game as a judgement on the D.
-
Im not really surprised about Hunter being lower than normal. He still made those web gems but overall id say for him... he had a down year defensively. What I dont understand is how Sizemore and Wells would be rated below avg. Both of them should be near the top of every defensive ranking.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 11:33 PM) Yeah I just did this. I'm playing, on my 7th day of the trial, up to level 6. I'm so confused on this game. The learning curb is way too steep(Even for me who thinks WarCraft III is the best gam ever created). Really? Idonno I used to play Everquest so while WoW had some new things i figured it all out relatively quickly. But if you never done any MMORPG's b4 and dont have a friend that you seen it b4 it could be confusing.
-
also you can play on a free trial at the WoW site..... I think it only allows you to get up to lvl 20 or something like that.... but thats more than enuf time to figure out if you will enjoy it or not.

It is kind of creepy... but still an asshole move to kill them all lol

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 05:26 AM) Funny how Reinsdorf and Williams are now crying poor this off-season after coming off an attendance record in 2006. This is the typical White Sox behavior before sending a player packing. Slammed Big Frank before showing him the door, same happened with Ordonez...Come spring training, they'll have Hawk on air talking about how the Sox can't afford Buehrle in the "current landscape" of major league baseball...This is not what I would expect a team to do with the face of the franchise along with Konerko. I thought winning a World Series would perhaps change the approach within the organization and at least show some class to the guys who went out there and won a ring. But now that the market is being set and it looks as though Buehrle will command at least 13-15 mil a season, let's bring up the old news that he wore a Cardinals hat to a World Series a couple of months ago to start the Buehrle bashing so it'll take some of the negative press away when the Sox fail to open their pockets. My suggestion would be to start working on a new deal for the best pitcher this organization has seen since Jack McDowell. Anything less is a huge mistake and probably won't ever be forgotten by this fan. some more

Garcia to Philly for Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez

QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 04:07 AM) and probably means McCarthy isn't Cy Young. If Garland gets dealt we might be seeing both of them in the starting rotation... -
I hated him in 06 but cant deny his contributions to the team in 05 season and post-season... that game 4 was a masterpiece.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 02:56 AM) They are on the north side, and the trib will praise it like its the best move yet. And then tell everyone we are raising the white flag. I dont think the Cubs are even that desperate to give Marquis 10 million a year... -
QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 07:48 AM) I wish there was audio of it. It really depends on the tone. I thought it was real unlikely for Garland to get his though, so who knows. Maybe it was a big joke and they're working on it right now. Jered Weaver? some Red Sox members at the ring ceremony? Probably more than you think, but maybe less in public or with someone with a camera around. Don't see the big deal, are we going to micromanage Mark's life now? That was obviously the fan/personal life aspect. Didn't he wear it for some interview once too? Actually yes, here's the article (including the part I've hear d multiple times where he wouldn't want to play in STL because he's heard that playing for home can really suck http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...sp&c_id=cws What jersey was Jered Weaver wearing? And the ring ceremony would be the one time I wouldnt mind it because its 1 day your celebrating with a team you won the WS with. If Weaver was supporting the Cards thats different because its his brother and he is a rookie young guy you expect them not to be as professional(think Milledge after his 1st HR).

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 05:32 AM) Yeah, who would like an Owner who has brought 7 titles to the city of chicago, god!!!!! If I was drafted by a team other than the sox, I would still wear my hat around for sure. Even my 83 fisk jersey. How many mlb athletes go around wearing other team's hats and jerseys and going to their games and fan fares while signed with a different team.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 04:20 AM) Uh, the players have more to do with that. It's not Bill Veeck's fault that the 1959 White Sox didn't beat the Dodgers and Reinsdorf doesn't deserve anymore credit for the Starting Four of 2005 especially now that he's crying poor and reverting to his true form. Yes Reisdorf is horrible omg I hate him...... I mean the players must hate him 2 which is why they were chanting his name when we won the WS. Nobody is a bigger fan of the whitesox/bulls than JR himself...

The only time I remember A-Rod saying something about Jeter was when A-Rod was still a Ranger. And it was something like "his numbers are good but boy would I love batting 2nd in that lineup..." and than he drove all the way to Jeter's house to apologize for it.
-
QUOTE(WCSox @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 12:34 AM) Jeter lead the Yankees to four championships. A-Rod hasn't. Do you think THAT might have something to do with it? Again, you have yet to produce one concrete example of A-Rod being a bad teammate. Either do so, or zip it. So you dont think the Yanks wouldnt of won those championships with A-rod on the team instead of Jeter....
