  1. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 03:17 AM) SOLID game for the illini tonight against IUPUI, jamar and rich were both draining the 3's. Pruitt and carter had a good night inside, it was just an all around great team effort. For them to make any noise in the Big Ten Jamar Smith and Brian Randle are both going to need to get and stay healthy. Also Carter needs to continue the way he is playing and Pruitt needs to demand the ball more often. It would be nice to see Rich McBride contribute moreso too but after seeing him a few games im not counting on it.
  2. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 01:06 AM) Since being fired on October 17, the Ravens have scored 24 points or more in every game except their game last week against Cincinnati. I'd say that's pretty solid. And since he's been in Baltimore, the defense has been ridiculously good. Why would you not give him credit for the defense? I'm sure he's had help constructing it, as pretty much every coach in the NFL does get help. Have you ever bothered to look at numbers? McNair's had a completion percentage of over 60% in 7 straight seasons, and has had 5 years in his career when he was not a 10+ game winner(his first two years in Tennessee, his last two years in Tennessee, and then 1 year in between it all where they went 7-9). Career record of 86-60(taking out 3 wins and 5 losses from the 2004 season when he played 8 games)...that's a hell of a lot more than Jim Miller can say. His stats don't look like much, but he is a winning QB, and I'll take that over Jim Miller's one decent year. Ok in my post I said Mcnair is a huge upgrade over Miller so dont know where thats coming from. And as for Billick Im sure he has helped a little with the defense but he is an offensive coach so im betting the D-Coordinator has much more to do with it than he does. Just like with Lovie I credit our offense more to Turner than I do him.
  3. QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) Getting Rowand back = Crede signing long term...? I know they are friends... but im sure Crede isnt just going to resign because he can play with Rowand.
  4. I really dont think much of Brian Billick.... he is an offensive coach and how good has baltimore been offensively since he has been there? Dont really give him 2 much credit for that defense..... now you Steve McNair is a huge upgrade over Jim Miller lol.
  5. I always watched the mlb.com draft thing anyways so no biggy.

    Wii

Id wait until a tiger woods golf game comes out for it... not sure if there is one yet. The wii sports are fun but they can only last you so long... especially the golf since its only the same 9 holes.
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 10:15 AM) He still threw for 257 yards though, and he adjusted to the rush in the 2nd half. Do I think he's a +100 QB rating quarterback? No I don't. But he's certainly the best QB we've had since Troy Aikman, and Romo looks like being our QB for the next 5-10 years. There's a lot of similarities b/w him and Tom Brady (call me crazy). Lol I see 0 similarities between him and Tom Brady.. so I will call you crazy. Also I wouldnt count on him for the next 5-10 years just yet. He does seem like the best QB since Aikman but is that really saying much?
  8. Idonno to me the Giants got the most pressure on Romo that ive seen so far and he did not look very well against them. I think the thing with Romo is the more he starts the more teams will understand how to play him.... By next season I dont expect him to be all that good at all and Dallas will be shopping for a QB in the draft.
  9. anyone know what kind of stuff this kid has?
  10. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) They were the AL champs. Does that count? Id say reg. season records usually tell which teams are the best moreso than a 5 game and 7 game series. Idonno you tell me which is a bigger sample size... 2 playoff series or 162 games.
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) Just for the record: Orton had 25 TOs in 15 games his rookie year. Rex has 24 through 12. Yeah but how about TD's and yards.
  12. Ummm the Tigers were the wildcard team in the AL... so how do they qualify as the best team? And the Mets were down multiple starters.... they were forced to use Oliver Perez, john maine, and Steve Traschel for the first 3 games.
  13. How did the Cards beat the 2 best teams in baseball? The Mets were down 2 SP's in the playoffs.... a team with that bad SP is not one of the "best teams" and I know your not talking about the Padres. And the Tigers were the wildcard team so I dont understand what makes them the "best team" either. The Cards won a WS, no one is taking it away from them. But that doesnt change the fact that in any other division they might of not even of been 2nd and Pujols shouldnt be whining when Howard's team had 2 more wins than the Cardinals.
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 06:49 AM) the game wasnt as close as the final score. And apparently playing Michigan in Ann Arbor hasnt made much of a difference the last few years anyway. Why should the last few years matter into this season?

    Wii

Id say the sports games are one of the best things about the system. The Wii Sports tennis and golf are extremely fun. The madden, well if your willing to take the time to get used to it is extremely fun. I dont know if Jim will like it or not... has he even been into consoles b4?
  16. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 07:28 AM) Yeah, they sucked so bad that they won the World Series, beating one good team and the 2 best teams in baseball to do it. Please don't make that lame excuse about the Tigers making errors. Sure, but the Cards capitalized on them, much as the SOX won games by capitalizing on mistakes. Wins are wins, and there are no flukes. If you want to say they had bad stretches or sucked during a lot of the season, granted since they reside in the N.L. Central, but the Sox has a very ugly stretch in '05 and still won it all when almost NO ONE believed they could, so you sound hypocritical. The Cards proved they are a good team by getting to, and winning the World Series with a talented club that had did have struggles with various things, including injuries, which they overcame. If you want to put an asterik next to a team's name because of opponents' mistakes (which was only a vital factor in ONE of the 3 playoff series), frankly, that's your own absurd, inept preference. May as well alienate every single team that ever did it, including our own World Champion '05 Sox. Very ignorant statement made by you, sir. The Sox won 99 games last season and the Cards won 83 games this season.... how do they compare? And how did he ignore any of the facts you stated. The Padres werent a good team, the mets were an injury riddled team, and Detroit played bad... So yes props to them they won the WS... but in the AL Central they would only be ahead of KC probably...
  17. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 10:23 AM) The same team with more injuries and less talent. Pujols should have been the MVP, because it was he, not Howard, who had the better offensive stats - superior numbers in everything BUT homers and RBI. You can't do much better than being the best offensive player in the your league. Id say the Cardinals are better team than the Phillies. The Cardinals not by much had a better team era which helps.... Both teams had a lot of injuries during the season. The Cardinals lost Edmonds for a significant amount of time and Rolen missed a little time. The Phillies lost Aaron Rowand, they traded their starting 3B away, they traded their franchise player away, and than didnt Mike Lieberthal their starting C got hurt too? Both teams had their closers get hurt but of the 2 the Cardinals had much better pitching staff. And the Phillies still managed more wins despite being in a tougher division too.... while the Cardinals in the worse division in baseball could only come up with 83 total. And isnt having more RBI's and HR's 2 of the more important stats when comparing the 2 for MVP?
  18. Gold farmers are usually called chinese farmers in WoW lingo lol. A lot of asian people play on US servers so they can get all the good spots for money etc. Also like people will have 2-3 of em and literally be on 24/7 just to get some 60's on the account and than sell it for money. I played WoW for awhile but I got bored of it pretty fast and after the first couple of months just played to chill with my friend. I told him im quitting so he sold his account for 400 dollars because he had all that amazing gear and crap and i gave him mine for free because he is still addicted to it.
  19. Is it too much to ask for an athlete to be outspoken and not be a poor sport/asshole at the same time? I remember Pujols whining about some crap was it either during the season late or post-season and now he is going on about how MVP should go to a playoff team even though his team had less wins.
  20. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 12:15 AM) No, I'm not telling you that, you typed it. There are obviously exceptions to every rule, but in a case of 2006, when the numbers were semi similar, I look at the player that was most valuable to his team, like the award says. Don't like it? Then change the name of the award. How was Pujols more valuable though? Howard led his teams to more wins when his team traded their franchise player.

    Wii

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 06:09 AM) And Perfect Dark, the sequel to Goldeneye. Eh Goldeneye in my opinion was much better than Perfect Dark... but yeah the n64 was really an awesome system with great games. I cant wait till March when the new Mario Party for Wii comes out.... imagine all those mini games with the Wii controller.
  22. His argument might of been reasonable if the Cards didnt have less wins than the Phillies...... Pujols has really done some things this last season that well... im not as big of a fan as before.
  23. According to Mel Kiper he doesnt expect Smith to go in the 1st round... and if he does it would be late..

    Wii
