QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) Who didn't see this coming? Link Are you telling me the xbox360 had 0 bugs when it was released... and they already said the problem will be able to be fixed with online updates so its not a big deal.

My friend who is a diehard rangers fan is super excited about Hurley... he thinks that the kid will be the next best thing. Personally im more of a Danks fan myself and I dont care for Diamond that much at all. -

It was nice to see Warren Carter kind of take control of the game for the Illini today. He was always a personnel favorite of mine and now with Randle, Smith, and McBride all out he is kind of the team leader in a way. I kind of had low expectations but if Randle, Smith, and McBride all get back and play well and Carter takes a step forward we can be a pretty good team. -
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 04:28 AM) Carpenter had better numbers and should've won it regardless of his postseason performance. Carpenter's numbers werent really better... Roy Oswalt on the otherhand deserved it more than both of them and somehow received the least amount of votes.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 06:57 AM) He also wont have Michael Young or the luxury of a huge Texas ballpark. Well I think the Rangers hitting coach had a much larger effect on him than Michael Young and the Cubs have a pretty generous hitting park as well. And if he can remain his mechanics from last season he should be fine.
-
Not really a bad contract in my opinion, He had a really good year last season and can play multiple positions. The Rangers have a really good hitting coach and if he fixed his kink in his swing DeRosa always had some offense potential.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 12:53 PM) then you've never played PC games... Quite the opposite. Think about the computing power of some of the best gaming PCs out there. They blow away a console. they're literally toys in comparison Oh ive played the best of PC games for sure. But there are no PC games that can match certain games that come out for consoles only... And the controls play a big factor in it too. Plus on a computer your on a 17 inch screen or somewhere around that with good picture. With a console you can do it on a 46 inch screen.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 04:07 AM) I have this really cool invention called a "PC" that allows me to do everything this "PS3" you've described does... plus it comes with free naked ladies... there is a reason that consoles make so much money, and im pretty sure your PC cant play games without a crazy amount of lag that are capable on the ps3/xbox360.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 06:58 AM) Chris Paul is honestly stud, I highly doubt Deron is ever going to be as good as him. This coming from a guy who hates Paul(stemming from his college days). He is a stud... but in my opinion Deron has more potential. Chris Paul is probably going to always be a better scorer. But I think Deron has more vision running the point and he is a better defender. Plus their numbers are pretty similar right now too and I think Paul has reached more of his potential than Deron has. -
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 05:08 AM) Tillman has been the Bears best corner this year, by a mile. Vasher is a playmaker, but he can't tackle for his life. However Vasher had the 9 picks or w/e last year and the infamous field goal play, so everybody will give him all the love. Well this year ive been pretty happy with Tillman's production. That being said not only did Vasher have the 9 picks... after that Bengals game he never was beat last season and yes that missed FG play. This year we are giving Tillman 1 on 1 coverage with the opposing team's number 1 WR every game it seems. So of course the other teams have been attacking him more, which the casual fans see as him doing poorly. But as long as we are smart enuf to double coverage Steve Smith if we face Carolina in the playoffs... and if we do put Tillman on a speed reciever understand he is going to need help coverage, im fine with it.

I think you guys are over-rating Chris Paul a bit. He is really good... but I wouldnt go out and say that Deron Williams has no chance to be as good if maybe not better. -
He still wont be as much of a pain in the ass as Belliard seemed to be to us.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 13, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) I hate to continue the hijack, but Family Guy really sucks now. Yeah, the last episode on Sunday Peter was really annoying me too much to enjoy him. Also the whole Brian's stupid girlfriend was kind of lame.
-
In the first half Tillman was bugging me because he got beat on those curls a lot and fumbled that one ball. But he did get an interception so I was overall happy with him. Than the 2nd half he adjusted to the routes Burress was running and did an amazing job.
-
this is ridiculous, how is it everyone on the team cant hold onto the ball.
-
If Boston has supposedly won that bid for the japanese pitcher I dont know how they can afford JD Drew as well. Plus Josh Beckett is getting a big raise and they still have Manny's contract which wont be easy to unload.

How about them Portland Trail Blazers?
GoodAsGould replied to Bighurt52235's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
The Blazers have a great player in Zach Randolph... if he can stay out of trouble they can be a pretty decent team. Roy is the most NBA ready of prob. all the rookies in the draft and darius miles is also a pretty good player. -
Why would they give that much up for Sheffield?
-
Yeah I have 2 cats myself and I love them soo much. And its hilarious that the spots they will go into that look super uncomfortable. I could never get 2 dogs, cats all the way!

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 9, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) Curry is playing well, but we'll see how long he can keep his ass in shape and actually give a damn. As for Frye.....he's Loren Woods with a 15 foot jumper. No thanks. Id gladly take whichevr one the Knicks willing to trade Fyre or Lee. I think we need to make a trade soon with all these players we have. Idonno if Pax wants to do it this season with the expiring contract of PJ Brown use it to bring in a star or in the off-season. But I think a trade will happen.
