  1. no one, i rather see the post-season cancelled.
  2. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 06:15 AM) If I had been putting in the last word, I would have shared how I felt about him as he did with me. you did send me a pm back, but its over as I see it.
  3. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Sep 27, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) I said I was getting sick of waiting, my Mcdonalds analogy explains why. I guess I just figured the faster you got the money out, the faster you'd be making money. It didn't make sense to me that I'm waiting 10 days when we were told 2 days at the most. I apologize for overreacting, 101 pisses/d me off. My apologies. how does 25 cent burgers compare to possibly 75 dollars?
  4. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Sep 27, 2006 -> 06:54 AM) I did everything that was asked of me about a week ago, it just doesn't bode well for party poker if its taking weeks to have money processed, why wouldnt I just stick with Ultimate Bet which has been ideal for me for a while now? Because its free money? My god ive never heard someone b**** about free money so much in my life.
  5. QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 04:06 AM) some guys have incentive clauses if they get to various milestones....besides 6 games at teh end of the year against the indians AAAers and probably the twins AAAers wont tell us much about our youngsters...so im ok if ozzie has the everyday lineup out there...especially against the twins, cuz i want them to end up with teh WC and not division the twins are playing all starters they still got something to play for
  6. I dont care about that so no we have nothing to play for... If it was me id start Owens, Fields, Sweeney, Anderson, Stewart rest of the games and let Tracey and Haeger start a game or something.
  7. Wow that sucks for him but its great for us. Their running game was having trouble getting started anyways and now without him we should be able to dominate it.
  8. In the future I definitely want a home theater of some sort.... but lol the one you posted is WAYYYY over done.
  9. well im not recommending we go and get him, im just saying im not going to be dissapointed if we do.
  10. You guys are missing the point... for us he would be batting 7th or 8th. And a hitter like him in that position in the lineup is great. The key would be than we would definitely need to replace Uribe with a leadoff hitter from that position. That way the weakness in our lineup(bottom/top) are both taken cared of. Especially if Brian Anderson fullfills the potential we all know he has.
  11. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 06:10 PM) You're using a single guy's one contract year to try and make a point about Rangers hitter being able to hit away from Texas whereas I used more than 20 different guys who proved the exact opposite. Michael Young's career numbers say it's more likely he won't hit well away from the ballpark in Arlington. Im using the only real example we have of someone who had a lot of success there but road splits were bad and than when leaving proved he was real. Carl Everett the first time we got him had a real successfull 2nd half with us too. He was injured the 2nd time around.
  12. If he was cheap and the whitesox wanted to give both Fields and Sweeney another season at AAA i wouldnt mind. We would definitely need to replace Uribe though and add a leadoff hitter from that position. If Gonzalez sucks or breaks down he can be replaced at all star break with one of our prospects or trade.
  13. If thats happening why dont the Colts just do what the Panthers did to us(bears) in the playoffs and play with 2 TE's as primarily blockers.
  14. What kind of prospect is that LT on Michigan. I was watching the game and he was plowing down the DE's at times. Tait is naturally a RT and Fred Miller is old so was just wondering.
  15. Idonno if partypoker has them but for anyone who has money in it i suggest doing a sit and go tourney. like a reg. cash game tourney but only allows a limit of 180 or something like that. I used to only do the reg. tourneys but just did my first sit and go and won 182 dollars . with a 4. 40 entry fee.
  16. They have quit on the season why should they get a standing ovation... if they played their hearts out and still came short why not but they have played like horse s*** and looks like the entire offense is just swinging for the fences or not bothering at all.
  17. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) Yes, but this year he is in a contract year and in the NL. What's your point? I posted in another thread the splits with ALL of Texas' players, and no surprise, they ALL hit better at home than the road. (With the exception of Teixieria whose power is down) Call me Mark Buehrle, but I'm sick of making point on Texas hitters. Whats the point? That these guys can still hit away from texas.... And he has actually hit better now that he isnt in texas. So whats to say Michael Young wont?
  18. didnt soriano "suck" away from texas last couple of seasons too?
  19. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 07:51 AM) I'm sorry, maybe I just wasn't paying attention... can someone explain all the Cora hate for me? the fact that he waves every player home no matter how fast they are. So assuming there would be a play at the plate if Podsenick was running he would send konerko in the same situation making him out by 10 feet.
  20. I love Frank Thomas but I just cant bring myself to root for the A's... id rather any of the other 3 teams in the AL win.
  21. Part of the reason for Mathews success is the Rangers batting coach helping him. Kind of like Crede's sudden change this season. Mathews jr. always had the talent to be the type of player he is showing this season though. If the price was right I would definitely consider him. Personally though I think the Cubs make 2 big f/a signings this offseason and Mathews will be one of them. And I think they will probably overpay for him also which would make him a no go.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFanInDallas @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) No. They love Michael here it Texas. If they did trade him, it would have to include a prospect pitcher or McCarthy and a hell of a lot better than Uribe to replace him at SS. I have read around here that everybody is available, but MY would cost the most to get. They are high on Michael Young but the asking price for Texiera has to be much higher. I wouldnt mind giving up a starter for a player like Young though. If we signed Dave Roberts or something like that to go with it our lineup would be much improved. LF: Dave Roberts SS: Michael Young RF: Jermaine Dye DH: Jim Thome 1B: Paul Konerko 3B: Joe Crede C: AJ Pieryznski 2B: Tad Iguchi CF: Brian Anderson
