  1. QUOTE(MinnesotaSoxFan @ May 6, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) i just leave it down, if i have to pee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and thats why you'll be single the rest of your life...
  2. Where's the line to volunteer to be someones "final exam"?
  3. I'm actually going to go with Pods... He fits exactly into the style of play that Ozzie sees for this team. He has done a good job getting on base even when he's not hitting. Lets hope we can keep it up.
  4. I'm still shocked we won. Then again this is what last place teams do when playing first place teams. Subconsiously lie down and take it even when they otherwise should win.
  5. It's getting to the point where we might as well as put him on the DL if it's going to take him to much longer.
  6. Honestly I think that we all know the talent is there. His problem has always been upstairs. He ends up over relying on that splitter of his. When on his game he's as good as any pitcher in baseball. When off his game he's among the worst. If he gives us an ERA in the low 4's i'll be estatic.
  7. Here are mine... Carl Everett - B- Paul Konerko - D+ Ross Gload - D Willie Harris - C+ (limited sample though) Tadahito Iguchi - A Juan Uribe - C+ Joe Crede - B+ A.J. Pierzinski - B- Chris widger - B Scott Podsednik - B+ Aaron Rowand - C- (only because he's just now started to get hot) Jermaine Dye - F- (and I really want to give him an F - -) Timo Perez - B- Pablo Ozuna - C + Mark Buerhle - C- (only because he's so not Buherle like) Freddy Garcia - B - (I expect better) Jose Contreras - B+ (Exceeding my expectations) Orlando Hernandez - D+ (Heart attack Hernandez's luck will run out, lets hope he wises up and stops having his tee ball stand moments) Jon Garland - A + Cliff Polite - B + Neal Cotts - D+ Luis Vizcaino - B- Damaso Marte B- Dustin Hermanson B- Shingo Takatsu - C+
  8. Personally I think when it's all said and done he'll be... .290 20+ HR's 60-80 + RBI's (depending where ozzie keeps him in the batting order.)
  9. He would have to hit it on a WCIU game where I couldn't see it...
  10. I say we have co closers, Herminson and Shingo, and they just take turns. Keeps teams from seeing them too often...
  11. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) It's weird because Zambrano, much like Wood and Prior, is clearly more talented than Buehrle but I'd take Buehrle over Zambrano because I'd know what I'm getting. I still believe int he stats that show injuries for pitchers with rapid increases in pitch count slike Carlos'., Not sure if it;s applicable a few years after the increase but I wouldn't trust his arm with Dusty's care. I do love Mark though and hope he's a White Sox pitcher for a very long time. I'd actually have no problem with signing him to a 5-6 year deal as a huge exception to managements policy. THis of course wouldn't need to be done for a few years <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I would never take Zambrano over Buherle but I would love a rotation with Zambrano in it... Buherle Garcia Zambrano Garland Hernandez *Drools*
  12. This was a foregone conclusion. If they would of even of attempted to give it to someone else there would of been a national backlash not just from Chicago. Congrats to Gordon for making it such an easy decision for them.
  13. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 3, 2005 -> 10:06 PM) Rowand praise = jeckle. Rowand not getting praise = jeckle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats about right...
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 4, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) We may have been Kool-Aid drinkers, but we knew what type of player this team needed and based upon what we were hearing about Iguchi as opposed to what other players were deemed to be available, Iguchi was the best option out there. Maybe arguments could be made for Polonco, but as Sox fane, we were happy to get a guy that filled our needs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to mention that Polonco never did become availiable...
  15. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 4, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Zambrano is not liked much by white sox fans because he is on the cubs and the fact he is crazy, but he is the best pitcher in chicago if used properly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know I would take Zambrano on the sox staff in a heart beat (though i'd give him some pills to chill him out first :rolly )
  16. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 4, 2005 -> 12:45 AM) How is it that Cub fans always end up at the Cell? You couldn't drag me to the Urinal unless the Sox, Cards, or a handful of other exciting teams were in town. And yet there's at least a hundred Cub fans at every 40 degree, weeknight game vs. Kansas CIty. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well cub fans aren't the smartest group. They get drunk, see a team dressed in blue (Royals) and assume it's the cubs. By the time they realize their mistake (if they do at all) their already too drunk to leave.
  17. Just be glad we won't have them on the team at the same time. Otherwise we'd have to print out Carlos Lee 1 and Carlos Lee 2 on the namecards.
  18. Well we all know we were better off without those guys, even Lee.
  19. ...I always love that finger shaped candy in my ice cream...
  20. I'll admit I don't watch the show, never have, don't care at all. But shes a grown woman, who cares who she decides to "get with"
  21. I'm sorry but that is just way too far, a burger that would feed 15 people but how on earth do you cut it up. Heart attack waiting to happen. Whats sick is we waste so much food on crap like this and there are kids starving who don't know where their next meal is coming from. :headshake
