This is the same White Sox organization that traded for Carl Everett the first time just as Aaron Rowand was getting hot. Just because KW was after Vizquel for his offense (which is debatable looking at the last 4 years) doesn't change the fact that Willie is a great defensive 2B and for the price would make a great 9 hole hitter and perhaps a future lead off hitter in 06'.

I don't get whats so funny. Noone since Robbie Alomar in his prime has the range of Willie Harris at 2B and Juan Uribe is a great defensive shortstop. Thats enough to make me want to put up with Willie in the 9 hole. I don't get your fascination with Jason Grilli. He's just not that good. In fact i'll venture to say that he won't even be able to match even the most mediocore Garland year.

Because of their great defense together, yes! However Willie needs to be a #9 hitter. We got Grilli as a give away. No one will want him. He's just not that good.

I don't know what your smoking but no way in hell would anyone want Grilli. I doubt he can even win 4 games over a full year next season if we is in the rotation.

But doesn't signing Koskie lower any type of trade value Crede might still have? I mean if we sign a new 3B before we trade him then it's hard for us to sell to other GM's that we are giving them something worthwhile.

That would be a kick in the face to the Cardinal fans if he signed with the Cubs. Definately worse then if Maggs became a Cub because at least Maggs has built a recent history of lying and secrecy. Plus he'll doubtfully be 100% for 05'

I think we need to start all praying Alex Escobar starts to live up to the hype because so far that looks like the only thing that might salvage out outfield...

Well since I have to do my christmas shopping yeah paying more then 36 dollars for a doll would strain my budget. Someone here ought to buy him though...

I think Willie should be the starting second basemen and i've said it for weeks. However I think it's stupid to put him in the leadoff slot at this point. Down the line he might become a great leadoff hitter but I don't think it's a good idea to make him that now. However the defense of Uribe at SS and Harris at 2B is worth Harris in the 9 hole I think.

I'm so sick of all of these people looking at Rauch as if he was made of solid gold or is going to be the next Cy Young. The fact is the guy was a total headcase and he had absolutely no future in this organization at all. At one point KW even so much as said he'd take any offer for him. GM's aren't stupid people as much as we like to think they are. I'm suprised we were even able to get Carl for him.

I just don't get why we never learn this lesson. It shouldn't be our job to police the world. It didn't work in Korea and Vietnam and so far it's not looking good in Iraq.

In my opinion this whole thing was stupid and pointless. It's not like they needed any more promotion for that stupid housewives show.

I honestly wouldn't mind if we never signed another Boras contract ever. The fact is that teams win championships, not players! The thing most of his clients have in common is that they are more focused on themselves then the team. You give me 9 talented players any day over 2 superstars and a bunch of below average players.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't mind Barry Larkin. The guy still has some talent and would come really cheap. However i'm not sure how receptive he'd be to being a backup and their is no way we could make him starter at this stage in his career.

First off you forget how much Ozzie likes Timo. Also I can't see him doing anything worth while anywhere next year. I'm still just hoping Alex Escobar can recover and become the Outfielder everyone always thought he could be.

Anyone who thinks JR will ever spend money needs to wake up. The only way this team wins a world serious is if everyone plays way above their heads or we actually draft some prospects worth something. However I will still have faith that it'll happen one of these days.

I voted for Osuna. However I honestly don't care who they sign as long as it's not another Mike Jackson...
