  1. Ok sure i'll give it a go... CF- Rowand SS- Uribe 1B- Thomas LF- Lee 1B- Konerko RF- Escobar C- Davis 3B- Crede 2B- Harris Bench Gload 1B/OF Perez- OF Everett- OF/DH Valdez- IF Burke-C/3B/1B/OF Rotation Buherle Garcia Clement (FA Signing) Contreras Garland Bullpen Diaz Adkins Cotts Marte Politte Takasu Maybe not ideal but realistic. All we have to do is add Clement and we already know we wants to come here. Well that and pray that Escobar breaks out and has a .290 25+ 90+ season.
  2. Honestly I think Contreras will improve greatly in his first full year away from the Yankees. The guy has talent and he has the whole offseason to work under a new staff with a strong latin influence. Not only that but some of you are missing an important factor. He has absolutely no pressure on him. He has become an after thought among most Sox fans and I think thats great. Without the constant media attention I think that he's going to only improve. Lets all just hope i'm right.
  3. Doesn't matter how you feel about the man. That is going way too far!. I'm glad he's ok
  4. It could be worse. We could be stranded like the Orioles forever behind the Yankees and Red Sox with no hope of crawling out. At least we go into the season knowing we have a shot at something.
  5. Look all i'm saying is that Bradley wouldn't be just a bad guy to have if we were able to get a bullpen guy thrown in for him. I'd rather have Bradley then Everett out there. That being said I don't really want Bradley here at all if we could help it, or Everett either for that matter. I just posted that in response to all of the people undervaluing Garland. I mean Garland is better then Benson was for sure. The only difference is the lack of support from ESPN. Thats bulls*** to me.
  6. Nuke or Southsider would of posted it though...
  7. I'm not against bringing Bradley here. However I think that Garland is worth more then just Bradley straight up. Honestly we're talking about a guy who was given away by the Indians to the first team that knocked on the door. Plus he has a reputation as a club house cancer. Now compare that to a guy like Garland, who aside from one overblown incident has been a solid team player, who is 24 and pitched close to 200 IP in the last three years while reaching double digits in wins and an ERA under 5 while pitching in one of the most nortorous hitters parks in the AL. In a pitchers park like LA it's not such a stretch to see him become an 18-20 game winner. Plus the guy is still improving. If we are going to trade Garland it better be for more then just Bradley and we better be damn sure ready to replace him.
  8. I'm sorry but lobbists are going to give money to whatever group has the most power. Right now the GOP is running the show so of course they are going to be getting the most money. If the Dem's were in charge we'd be reading about how they were in the corporate pocket. It's all relative.
  9. I know the song. It's from the simpson episode where Homer quits drinking beer. I'm just curious what it had to do with kidnapping strippers at 13
  10. What does that have to do with kidnapping strippers at 13
  11. I'm sure his implosion in the playoff's against the Cardinals has something to do with it. The Yankees need guys who are going to perform in the big games. Perez didn't exactly inspire the confidence he could do that.
  12. Come on now...How many of us haven't thought about kidnapping a stripper.
  13. Treasure Planet, the movie was kind of hokey but the score was absolutely great
  14. I'll reserve judgement on the movie until after it actually comes out but i'm not holding my breath for it being any good. I might rent it on video one day if I get really desperate.
  15. I'm sorry but I would take Clement over Lowe just because he's younger and wants to stay in Chicago. Plus maybe some of casual cub fans might come and see him if the cubs are out of town on games he's starting. Personally I don't see how many teams he's been on being as a reason not to sign him. I'd take him if he had been with 20 teams as long as the guy could pitch.
  16. As much as I wanted Kendall on this team we all knew that if it was between us and a west coast team he would demand the trade to the west coast no matter how much better our deal was, and theirs no doubt in my mind we gave them a better offer. I see no point in blaming the Sox organization for this. Some players just won't want to come here.
  17. That is some major league bad luck. :headshake
  18. Boy that is quite a plan for a 13 year old. When I was 13 I was still hoping to see someone leave a playboy lying around.
  19. The offense wouldn't do us any good if it means having Diaz and Grilli both in the rotation every fifth day.
  20. Hey Nuke we actually agree on something... How about that...
  21. I refuse to go out. I'm not even going back to my apartment until Saturday. Too much traffic. I'd rather pay 40 bucks for a DVD player then stand in line for an hour while having to fight people from digging their hands in my cart.
  22. I'd be interested in seeing what middle eastern muslim porn looked like. A chick being seen without her vail and maybe a skirt that only goes down to her knees. :rolly
  23. I'd offer the exact same deal to Lieber in the hopes that he's sore at them for not picking up his option. Then if he didn't bite i'd offer him 7 Mil a year. Anything more then that i'd let him go.
