The guy was impressive. He broke down bariers. He pitched with one hand and managed to have a solid major league career. Maybe I just have a soft spot for people overcoming all odds and living up to their dreams. In my opinion he deserves to be in the hall. Feel free to disagree.

I agree Soranio would be counter productive. The last thing we need would be more high K swing for the fences kind of player. Plus he has publicly refused to play any other position. I wouldn't touch this guy with a 10 foot pole. No way in hell should we give up pitching for him.

What I find funny is I have all their albums (I admit it i'm a Christian and I like to listen to christian rock music). It was on one of their independant label release Learning to Breathe and then for some reason re-released on their mainsteam album when it so obviously had a christian context to it. As for it's meaning i'd say it's about making a mistake, picking yourself up, and then asking god to help you start over.

In my opinion Lee Smith and Jim Abbot are the two i'd want to see get in there. Wade Boggs would be 3rd. It'll be a cold day in hell when Darryl Strawberry gets into the hall. Pete Rose can't get in but that damn coke head can. Screw that.

I agree with Man of Steel. Willie needs to be the starting 2B. We couldn't find anyone better defensively if we tried and he is still improving offensively. I would perfer if he was the #9 hitter though with AROW leading off. CF- Rowand SS- Uribe DH- Thomas LF- Lee 1B- Konerko RF- Everett 3B- Crede C- Davis/Burke 2B- Harris Pretty solid lineup from top to bottom.

I'm glad RJ said no to us because he's too big of a gamble with our payroll. KW was about to overpay big time. I'm sorry but Brian Anderson is our future. To give that up for one year of RJ while creating 2 holes in the rotation and dooming us to another 2nd place finish is retarded...

Just to throw this out there... Would it really be so bad if we didn't do anything and had a string off last place years? We could get a few top draft picks and maybe be in a position to win a championship in 2010. I think our curse is that we keep doing these things to be a contending team and it's killing us. I'm not saying I want the Sox to suck but if it's between 2nd place and last give me the draft picks.

I'm not sure thats entirely accurate. I seem to remember someone (I don't remember who) b****ing from the start because we traded Aaron Miles. It never bothered me any but I do remember seeing posts like that somewhere.

What I don't get is how do we know Kerry was lying? My dad went to Vietnam. He might not of admitted to any of this s*** but he did come back all screwed up. He was hooked on drugs and exposed to chemicals that later gave him cancer. Sometimes we as Americans need to take the blinders off and realize that our people can screw up too. It was hard for me to believe a bunch of guys who weren't there.
