Why is this even a discussion? You just don't trade players like Yoan unless you are rebuilding. Like WTF are you guys even thinking that promote it? You'd have to trade Yoan to a contender and they'd have to give some high quality pieces back and it's such a nuisance of a trade that it's just not fathomable.

Here's the things: 1) Arizona has absolutely NO reason to rush into a trade. That means IF a trade does happen in the next 3 or so days, they were SO satisfied with the offer they got that they feel a team (CWS) overpaid for it. They also KNOW the CWS are extremely desperate in this situation. That doesn't bode well. 2) If we are willing (and we should be) to trade players like Burger, Collins, Crochet, then we need to get high quality. NOT 3 months of Eduardo Escobar or Adam Frazier. I'd be looking at Joey Gallo, potentially Starlin Marte and most importantly something like Trevor Story/Charlie Blackmon. Eduardo Escobar is not who you send your young backup catcher too or a player like Burger.

lol @ the thought of trading Lynn/Rodon. 0% chance that is even discussed. Likely 0% chance Vaughn or Kopech is on the table as well. However, talking about Crochet might be interesting. Adding him and some of our MiLB pieces would net us a big time trade. Not Ketel Marte big, but maybe Story? Maybe Gallo?

I realllyyy want Starlin Marte. Problem is... the Marlins don't really have a reason to rush into a trade whereas the White Sox need a trade ASAP. So we'd have to blow the Marlins away with an offer (relatively speaking of course). Guys like Eduardo Escobar should be available at any time IMO. The league see's there holes and while there are going to be suitors, I don't think there's any difference whether they sell now or later and in fact, there's less risk if they sell when they can.

Disagree on more bullpen help. Coming into the season we were widely regarded as having a top 5 pen, and IMO a top 2 or 3 pen. They made poor moves on the offensive side. Adam Eaton signing was almost a universal frowned upon move. Then not doing ANYTHING to improve the offensive depth/bench because of $$$$ issues was absolutely boneheaded and greedy.

Plz do not go and get career half year adam frazier or subpar Escobar. Go after Starlin Marte or Charlie Blackmon/Story or some other star. How can other teams acquire star rentals for not much, but not us?

Now that would be interesting. Reynolds having a hell of a year after a DUD year. Not sure if I fully buy in enough to trade Crochet for him, but having him on the team for years would be awesome.

man to be honest i don't know if i really want Adam Frazier or Eduardo Escobar. Both could very easily fall off the planet after the trade and be as good or worse than our current pieces. I'd rather just trade for Starlin Marte (I know he's not middle infield eligible) as I feel that would be an impact move at a position of need more so then filling 2b
