  1. Does eddie gadel count? If not colon because he might think i am food.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 01:26 AM) With Ginobili and Parker back and with another year's experience...yeah there's no reason at all why they shouldn't be the favorites. Then again, for all we know, Darko could go nuts and have an amazing year or something like that. Who could have predicted the Suns rise this year? And they may very well be better next year as well too. (Of course...the Bulls might be better too... ) This is what darko was doing before game six.
  3. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) Duncan came through when it mattered the most. He averaged 21 ppg/14.1 rpg for the series. Manu could've gotten it if he hadn't played so poorly in Detroit. Congrats to the Spurs! I think they're the heavy favorite to win it al in 06. Duncan has choked when it matetred most all series and he had another bad night tonight.
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) I can't ever play in those "play money" rooms. People play hands that you normally wouldn't play if you were playing for real money. I've toned down my poker playing from the school year, but I still play occasionally. Once I'm 18, though, Indian reservations, here I come! It was not too bad when hammer, cheat, dan, wite, dbaho me, etc... played with the play money. But in general i get what your saying.
  5. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) they finally have a leadoff man now thats how i look at it, next year giants should do well, but they really need a pitcher Alex sanchez is a nine hole hitter not a lead-off type hitter.
  6. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) Horry with a big triple in the 4th. WTF is with this guy in the clutch. This is true. But talk of him going to the hall of fame because of all his titles and because of his clutch shooting makes me sick.
  7. He is a liar. He just wants to pass ruth.
  8. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) Derek Lee already with 2 homers today. I don't know what the f*** is going on with this guy. He went from a below average/average first baseman to a triple crown guy. It's like Sosa all over again. There is arguably no better defensive firt baseman in the league. He is one of the fastest first baseman if not the fastest. Not many first baseman can go first to third like he can... he is also a pretty good base runner overall. Derek lee = paul konerko, their career number are pretty similar.
  9. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 08:18 PM) And I get to watch it live. Yippee!! And Hamilton just made the worst lay up attempt ever. Traveled like a mother f***er. Had to bee five steps he took there.
  10. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) Richardson is an energy guy first and foremost, a tough rebounder for his size, and an above average defender out of the SG slot. That said, the addition of Kurt Thomas is pertinent to what they're trying to do over there. I'd also let go of Joe Johnson and go after a defensive stopper like Raja Bell at SG and a couple of solid bench players, as they'll still have plenty of offense in Stoudamire/Marion/Nash/Thomas. I know that Phoenix wouldn't have a fan base if not for offense (due to lack of interest, as is the case with many west coast teams), so I won't hate on their philosophy. It was kinda shaky before richardson was dealt but now it is all but done in my opinion ( resinging johnson). If johnson was practically any place but the suns he could be a 25 point scorer. He is so damn fun to watch because of his explosiveness. This is actually really bad for the cavs who have had serious interest in johnson for months now. They need another scorer other than james, while ilgauskas is a good scoring option he is much better suited to be the third scoring option rather than their second. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I saw this and agree with it 100%. Can anyone believe this fool wants the full mle? They better let him walk, much better players out there for the full f***ing mle. This should be the trade that gets thomas fired. I mean he just traded for another chucker that shot .389 from the field. Crawford and richardson will fight each other for a worse shot.
  11. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) Delgado, Halladay, Vernon Wells?? I'm happy to see CLee destroying the cubs pitching... GO CLEE Delgado was a free agent. Halladay is one of the top pitchers in the game at only the agre of 28 ( just turned 28 not too long ago i believe). Wells is locked into a pretty cheap long term contract. I am sure after what he did last season they were expecting a big time bounce back season from him.
  12. QUOTE(AirScott @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 07:21 PM) I'm pretty sure during one of the games vs. the Royals, Hawk or DJ mentioned that Graff's problem here was that he wasn't starting. they said he wasn't disruptive, but he still wanted a chance to be an everyday player. Maybe they meant he wasn't producing as well because he wasn't starting? Plain and simple, in my opinion anyway, he is not a starter. That is liek saying greasy forehead (ozuna) would be a good starter.
  13. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 07:17 PM) Tough to argue this, he would fit, he's been playing a lot of 1B for KC. Somehow I still think trading within the division is an issue. I understand the Royals being far far away from contention for this year and probably the next 2 after. But there's got to be some reason the two teams haven't dealt with one another in over 15 years. KW was on the radio about two weeks ago and basically said to scratch off any teams in the AL Central in terms of acquiring help. Am i good or what.
  14. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) Wasn't Graffanino really unhappy about not being a starter here before? And didn't he complain about it? Unhappy? Not that i recall. I do recall that he would have liked a chance to start if given the oppurtunity. He also fits in with most of the royals religion wise.
  15. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 07:11 PM) I don't want to start another thread, because this board is already full of no information based trade ideas, but I think the Sox should look hard at Tony G. 1. Can play 3b, SS, 1b, or an OF spot if needed. 2. By the time KC is ready to compete, Tony G will be well gone, so dont tell me we cant trade in the divison 3. Wont have to worry about team chemestry. Knows Frank, Aaron, Paul,Mark Jon,Marte, Crede. Not looking at Tony to start, just more depth. Alright i am not gonna tell you they can't trade within the divsion... but they won't. As jimh is about to tell you have have not dealt with one another for a long as time.
  16. Dalibor bagaric made me laugh while he was here so take him off that list. I am gonna go with navarro and the guy who has currently played the fifth most games in the 2000's on the mets.
  17. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) BULLS- NBA CHAMPS 06!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO At the earliest 2007 once robinson is fully off the books along with davis. That is nearly 20 million off the books right there. Realistically i am looking at 2008 ( one year for next years free agent pick-ups to gel with the rest of the team. Next year we will just be making minute up grades, nothing drastic.
  18. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...or_kurt_thomas/ The knicks could very well have the worst record in the nba at this rate. They now have a lineup of three guys who shoot the ball alot and don't make it enough not to mention they have virtually no frontcourt.
  19. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) Chris young has been f***ing dominate this year, Jake Westbrook has caught nothing but bad breaks all season and Jason Johnson is just an excellent pitcher. You made me laugh...
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Chris Young, Jake Westbrook, Jason Johnson???? Jon garland and jose contreras?!?!?
